Round 2:
* A powerful surge of negative Nevernal energy washes over your foe
@ Enemy loses 100
* The Ring of Mayhem vibrates as it unleashes a powerful wave of negative Nevernal energy against your enemy...
@ Enemy loses 15
* You execute a stroke worthy of your Archmaster level of mastery in Weaponry: Staves...
@ +66 MR for this round.
* You swing your staff at your enemy
@ Enemy loses 12

* You've SLAIN your foe!

Too bad that was against an ant instead of something more powerful...

Sorry for the late comment; but that's what they call "disproportionate use of force!" I don't think there was anything to clean up after that fight!

@ Spencer: congrats on your lucky Tarn Orbs run!

Sorry for the late comment; but that's what they call "disproportionate use of force!" I don't think there was anything to clean up after that fight!

Is that the current military jargon for what they used to call "overkill"? (Which was also military jargon originally.)

But yeah, what was left of that ant could have been cleaned up with a spatula and a paper towel (and you wouldn't have needed more than one paper towel)... :)

The "DUoF" might be more technical than "overkill." And DUoF does not have to necessarily result in a kill (technically speaking).

Must... Resist... big... orange... off-topic... flagging...

... When your Youth Pastor asks you to preach on Jonah? (Not kidding, this is gonna be fun.) And you have the rest of today and tomorrow to get your sermon together and a little bit of Sunday to read over it and fix stuff before you meet with him to go over it together? Thankfully, I'm not actually preaching until at least next week.

Good for the GM. And I sincerely hope they all go AG and "donate me down" the ranks.

You get....

Your eyes suddenly spring open, at almost exactly the moment the sounds of the world once again rush in to fill your ears.

You're both startled and relieved to find yourself standing just outside the tall, crumbling arch through which you entered the ruined city.

You hear something rattling about amongst your possessions.

Well done, Trent! Your successful and complete exploration of the upper sections of Tarn, and the first of its lower levels, is a feat worthy of a master adventurer. You will soon be able to delve further into the lower reaches of the ruined city, where you will do battle with the Tarn-Hurn and his deadly minions...

XP +512 You've been awarded a total of 512 Experience...
512 xp applied to general...

XP +128 You've been awarded 128 Experience...
128 xp applied to All Skills and Powers...

XP +1,088 You've been awarded a total of 1,088 Experience...
1,088 xp applied to general...

Thankful to have explored the upper ruins (and the first of the lower levels) of Tarn and lived to tell about it, you take a few moments to check over your equipment and get your bearings before turning and setting off on your way.

After getting a 128 then 2 straight 64's on Saturday, 3 straight 64's on Sunday and 3 straight 64's again today and on the first 2 I only got an orb after not going to the lower level. Yeah 128!!!!

Considering my own penchant for forum mishaps and keeping the people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones saying in mind I'll probably pay in the proverbial spades but what the heck.

Typos did someone say typos......?

Hmmmm....... Is "little sister" rubbing off on "big brother" or vice versa?

Not a back combo, Spencer! Congrats.

Welcome to the forum and back to the game Voncritic.

According to the GM all the Startup Scenarios will eventually be put in game. Not sure of anymore than that or if they'll be added as AG only or both.

I think the following is a typo by TG but since I no longer maintain a non AG account I can't say for sure.

You can get 4 skills from Startup. I would recommend Horsemanship/Diplomacy/Thivery/Unarmed combat. What? No Arcana? How am I going to identify objects? The Sage in Hawklor is not available to non-AGs.

A while back Elumyr the Sage in Hawklor became available to non AG but it could've been switched back as TG has a non AG account. But I'm thinking it's a typo and should read noW especially based on the context of Thingirl's post.

Oh and I almost forgot  - congrats Spencer. :)

Welcome back Ankhmahor.

Thingirl I was wondering if you saw that. ;)

And after reading your post I was wondering the same thing about Ankhmahor's avatar. Googling Ankhmahor should answer your question.

EDIT: Had to do some necrothreading.

Key up the eerie music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVSRm80WzZk) especially since I just posted about what you can remember vs. what you can't.

I fairly recently posted about the Hawkblade and recalled Ankhmahor was one of the posters in that thread. Link to the old forum thread is at the bottom of this post, http://www.srythforum.com/showpost.php?p=38237&postcount=5 And I like your avatar from the old forum as well Ankhmahor.

First things first.
Don't you love it after two years of (okay with some interruptions :p ) grinding Axepath I finally got the the Care(Bear) Blade! I can hardly believe it.

Thanks guys, tis good to be back. :)

Thingirl, I was fairly sure I knew who was on my avatar. Until you asked and I started doubting. So it is not Ramses II nor his dad Seti I, it just doesn't have the the family nose. Then I went with Amenhotep III and started grinding Axe... er... google images and I found:

http://www.sanfranciscosentinel.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/detail-gilded-coffin-of-tjuyac2a0-dynasty-18-reign-of-amenhotep-iii-1390-1353-bcc2a0-gilded-wood-photo-sean-martinfield-2.jpghttp://www.sanfranciscosentinel.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/gilded-coffin-of-tjuya-photo-mcmillan-group.jpg

As result my avatar is Ms. Tjuya, Dynasty 18, reign of Amenhotep III (1390-1353 BC). *sigh* Why didn't I notice the hair length....

I was about to go with Fester (see my profile) as a pic but I need to resize it and I don't have the time to start fiddling with gifs. Grinding awaits! :D Or... Perhaps I should consider something from Ankhmahor's tomb. But if most of the images there are at the very least mildly disturbing for any man. ;)

Oldschool,
Yesterday, while snooping around for my old avatar, I too stumbled upon that Hawkblade thread... I don't even remember posting in it. :D
