Link to the wiki from sryth.com

This has been bugging me for a while.

Could someone explain why, when I right-click the link to the wiki at http://www.sryth.com/ci.php?f_c=wiki.inc I don't get the option 'Open in new tab'?

It's been the same as long as I can remember, even going back to the old wiki (iirc), and it's true whatever browser I use.

I presume there's something about the way the GM's made that link that forces it to open in a new window, but I would like to know why and how. Using Firefox I've selected the option 'Open new windows in a new tab instead', but it doesn't work for this particular link.

Because, as far as I can tell, that is NOT a direct link to the wiki. Instead clicking on that link triggers a javascript and that opens the new window.

I usually open the forum and the wiki (when I need it) in separate tabs from my book marks.

The my log-in screen for the game is the home page on FireFox. The only time I go to Sryth's home page is when I log-out.

It does bother me, and I actually do remember a time when it didn't do that. Used to be that both the "Forum" and "Wiki" links from Sryth.com would open up as new tabs for me. The forum link still does, because it doesn't invoke javascript, but the wiki one doesn't. I don't recall now when it changed, but that's pretty much why I started using my own bookmark to go to the wiki instead of the Sryth.com link.

It's been so much time since I used those links... both forum, wiki and game are first things under the "s" on my Firefox, so I just use the URLs.

Sorry, been away. No, I didn't notify the GM. Thought I'd ask about it here first.

I don't use the forum link from sryth.com - it comes up on my Firefox as well - but I don't visit the wiki often enough for that one to come up :o

Same here. Although, I just highlight everything from http:// and replace it with "sr" and the wiki pops up.
