As announced in previous news posts this is going to be the next explorable area. It'll most likely be a separate map location. Hopefully it will have a lot more to find than in Ashlyre.
P.S.: I'll edit the title once it is available.

From the latest twitter updates:
I'm reminded of the old legend of Baleward Castle, hidden somewhere in outer Fogbough. I hope to have the chance to find it soon.
An indication that we will soon get to explore the Outer Wood? I sure hope so...

Fogbough
Fogbough refers to a large area of forest that stretches from the western banks of the River Trynd just west of the city of Trithik in Tysa to the base of the Felrundin foothills.
Long ago, as the Age of Araludon was dawning, a powerful sorcerer named Rhaknar, built a tower in the middle of the forest that served as a place of learning for aspiring spellcasters from across the realms.
Alas, though, for Rhaknar's thirst for power was unquenchable, and as he reached the limits of his own magical ability, he sought out new ways to increase his already formidable arcane might.
To this end, Rhaknar managed to secretly open a Shadow Path which allowed him passage between the world of Sryth and the nightmarish realm of the Neverness . His journeys to the Neverness brought him new knowledge and new, dark and terrible power. The endeavour, however, slowly drove him mad.
Rhaknar became distrustful of people (especially other mages), and he sought to protect the Shadow Path he had created, lest other mages discover and use his portal. He became increasingly reclusive, and abandoned his teachings, and forbade others to trespass in the forest in which his tower sat. As his madness grew, he used his newly acquired dark arts to construct a fiendish labyrinth that would keep his secret safe forever.
The Labyrinth was a complex maze, many levels deep, outfitted with fiendish traps and powerful guardians of the sorcerer's own design -- all to protect the Shadow Gate that lay hidden in the shadowy depths.
In what was perhaps his final act of madness, Rhaknar used his sorcerous might to place a curse upon the forest, in an attempt to conceal his labyrinth, and the secret that lay within. The curse changed the very nature of the forest itself.
The trees became sickly and dark, and a thick blanket of fog descended upon the forest. It became an altogether unwholesome place, and was shunned by all but a few brave local hunstmen who still sought game on its borders.
Rhaknar eventually disappeared, and some say that he became forever lost in his own diabolical labyrinth, unable to escape the very wickedness his magic had created. Others say that a powerful evil entered Sryth through the Shadow Gate he had opened and consumed him.
Over a thousand years have passed since Rhaknar's disappearance, and because few will dare to venture into Fogbough, little is known about his tower or the labyrinth. Many a traveler has journeyed into Fogbough never to return. Others have returned with eerie tales about dark creatures lurking in the mist of the forest.
Many believe that those who have disappeared in Fogbough over the centuries now roam the cursed wood as the living dead.
Fogbough remains a place that is commonly avoided by all. Even the few bold huntsmen who once found an abundance of game just inside the forest's edge have abandoned the wood for friendlier hunting grounds.
The most direct way to get to the cursed forest is to cross the River Trynd due west of Trithik. However, few boatmen are willing to brave the western shore of the river.

Well...Koro-tul, who controls the oakaruk, is mentioned as having mastered the sphere of magic known as dark goblin magic. It apparently is even more illegal than necromancy, because the Grey Circle banished her for knowing it and is also known to be responsible for a catastrophic accident in the Sryth world:

Magical Email Mishap
If you've sent a message to the gamemaster (http://sryth.wikia.com/wiki/Gamemaster) in the last couple of weeks that required a response and have not yet received one, please resend the message.
A glitch (entirely the fault of the gamemaster) has resulted in quite a few lost emails.
The gamemaster officially blames dark goblin magic for the strange incident that led to the loss of the messages...though there is little evidence to support such a claim.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you in advance for resending any unanswered messages requiring a response.

Goblin Magic came up in-game too, during the Adventure "Attack on Ashlyre" when the town first opened up.
Tirimey tells you that Koro-Tul, a master of several magical disciplines, has long been suspected to have acquired proficiency in the ancient and dark art of goblin magic. While the practice of such magic is forbidden by the Grey Circle, the ambitious sorceress secretly acquired her dark knowledge -- and put it to use constructing the foundations of her sinister endeavours.
"She created a race of wood and iron beings which have become known as the Oakaruk," says Tirimey. "Many hundreds of Oakaruk were created in secrecy and brought to life with her magic. They formed a powerful army guided only by her command -- an army that was to overthrow the Grey Mage and ultimately plunge much of this world into chaos. I don't think I overstate the peril upon the brink of which we've nimbly danced these past few months."
Intrigued by the master mage's account, you ask him about Koro-Tul's staged coup and the Oakaruk.
"The coup was discovered just before Koro-Tul's most sinister plans were set afoot," he says. "Swift action and no small measure of good fortune disrupted her efforts and helped us to rout her army of Oakaruk. She fled north, and we tracked her to the very edge of Fogbough. The remnants of her wooden army, perhaps five dozen Oakaruk, delved into that cursed wood with her."
Tirimey tells you that it is believed a handful of conspirators aided Koro-Tul's escape and that when discovered, they will certainly face trial -- and likely death.
You ask him why it is he has sought you out.
"Koro-Tul's Oakaruk are on the march," he says, repeating what he told you only moments ago. "There has has been an incident in Ashlyre..."

So, maybe we WILL get DGM and we'll have to use it to defeat Koro-Tul/ the head Oakaruk. Or, maybe that's the only thing that you can use to injure them before battle.

There is a bug in the new adventure...
When escorting some humans out of the forest, you are pursued. There is a page section that doesn't load.
I have sent a bug report, but it may pay to wait till this is fixed before playing: The only quick fix was to quit playing, effectively losing all progress made.

Mad Rantings and a curious verse carved into a wall...
"...my heir...find my heir...the flame of Castle Baleward must burn again..."
"The light from Baleward now long dark;
The rot begins to creep;
A fog to hide this cursed place;
Eternal, wretched sleep."
While exploring the western portion of the outer wood, you encounter an old, bent man hobbling along a well-worn trail. He leans heavily upon a stout oaken cane and looks up at you and smiles as you approach.
The white-haired man, who by all appearances seems unfit to be wandering into the cursed wood, tells you that he has always ventured into the forest, ever since he was a young lad.
"They'll find you, too," he says, suddenly, his strange, out-of-context statement catching you off guard. "If they haven't yet approached you about rekindling the flame, they will -- on that you have my solemn promise."
You ask the old man what it is he's speaking of, but he doesn't answer your question.
"The light will yet shine from the top of Baleward," he says, "and it is now quite plain to me that you will be the one to light it. You may need my help at the very end of things -- and you may count on it."
Before you can again ask the old man what he means, he turns and wanders off, muttering to himself as he picks his way carefully over the uneven forest terrain that lies hidden beneath a thick blanket of rolling fog.

I also encountered that goblin. I let him go, partly because I'm not a jackass, and also because I'm pretty sure it's a cloth bag with his possessions and not one of Tallys's pouches. Furthermore, I used divination, and I should think that it would have told me that cloth bag was special if it was. Finally, the goblin's words: "Tragiz-larn does not forget" makes me think that this is actually an important hand of fate choice, and one not to be taken lightly.

In case anyone was wondering:
You stand at the eastern edge of Fogbough Forest, just west of the fortified town of Ashlyre.
Long, swirling bands of mist roll slowly out of the cursed wood and curl around your feet before melding into the blanket of fog that swallows up the nearby hills.
The forest seems to almost be alive, and although you can see nothing moving beneath the rotting, shadowy trees, you feel as if the cold stares of a thousand pairs of eyes are fixed on you.
You must first complete certain events in the nearby town of Ashlyre before you can explore the forest. To be able to access Ashlyre, you need to have completed the 'Caves of Westwold' adventure in Hawklor and the 'Murk' in Stormfield.

Yes. I'm betting I thought the same thing as some others until it was revealed it was Tallys not the man in the leather hat or is he one and the same. If he is I much rather prefer those pouches :) he gives us occasionally than the flat of his blade .

I'm assuming then that the pouches we're supposed to find haven't yet been implemented. I've done well over a hundred explorations and found not a one. Found most if not all the currently returnable locales...well except the pool, and three wolf pieces.
I've found one so far. I think this is going to take some time. I've now done 204 explorations, and I'm still missing some of the stuff that's been talked about. Nice to think that this will keep us occupied for a while!

Here is what The Goblin Totem Block does.
The Goblin Totem Block (Go Back)
This foot-long block of engraved wood bears three small, square impressions on one of its sides. Into each of these impressions may be set a goblin totem. When all three impressions are filled, the block's power will be bestowed upon its bearer.
You possess the following totems: griffon (x1), wolf (x2)
Your current configuration of Totems on the block provides you with the following bonuses: +1 to Melee Rating and +1 to Stamina Points.

Tattered Wolf Pelt Vest (Use)
* Class: Armour, Torso
* Encumbrance: 8
* Quality: Common
* Stamina Points: +3
* Requires 15 Spirit.
This tattered wolf pelt, covered with clumps of grey and black fur, has been crafted into a crude vest. It was given to you by the undead rider you encountered in Fogbough Forest, in exchange for the jade-studded goblin skull.

Just ran it once late without saving and won't have time to play till later but one question.
Well maybe two. I ran into a fissure that lead to a cave where I found 3 AT's and after exiting it was NOT a returnable location. Has this been the same with everyone - ATs and returnable status? Also advance apologies if this has been discussed as I'm avoiding spoiler tags for now.
Thanks in advance.
It was the same for me. You can find the location again while exploring, but there doesn't seem to be anything to do there the second time around.

Ok due to r/l I haven't ben able to play much today but in about an hour that should change. :)
Anyways I've looked at the spoilers and has anyone had tried using any of the following.
Thrymbak's (sp?) Map - probably useless on the Outer Wood.
Jade Key (3 out of my 4 have it).
Carved Wooden Cube (all of mine have it).
These are even more of a longshot,
Goblin Wardrum
Goblin Statuette
Iron Patched Skull
Serpent's Skull
All of my characters have all/some of them. Voltan missed the Jade Key but has the Iron Patched Skull (the others don't).
All of these are probably a waste of time. After all this is coming from the handler that had his character(s) donning the Black Hat during Halloween and the Green Jacket and toting the Iron Cloverleaf during St. Paddy's Day eventhough their wasn't a special event.:o

Good question, I just logged on to my non AG account and got what I'm guessing is the same message you did. However there's a vague reference to events IN Ashlyre so it seems it may be AG only since both 'The Wayward Wagons' and 'The Plague of Ashlyre' are AG only.
I'm going off of Shadowblack's earlier copy/paste,
In case anyone was wondering:
* TRAVEL...
Since I have not yet done anything in Ashlyre it'll be a while before I get to exploring this area.
A bit open to interpretation though. However, if I remember correctly one or both of the AG scenarios I mentioned previously were accessed through/by Exploring Ashlyre.

I too agree with you...looking at the wiki seems to indicate that the 2 AG adventures may be needed to be completed to enter in the forest.

I did not lose the bonus from the mushroom but as soon as I ate another mushroom of a different color I lost the bonus from the first. Also the mushrooms that give you a bonus to SP or NvR gets automatically refilled every time you change an item, pick up an item or drop an item.

I'm auto-resting only but I'm wondering about manually resting in an area like we had to do in the old days (sorry couldn't resist).
EDIT:
Well that was interesting to say the least. Just rested the ole fashioned way in Ashlyre and no change so I did it again and like the ole sayin' the third time's a charm. Thing is Ezerok showed up to torment Hawk for not serving him and the bonus I had from the pool disappeared.
Just reloaded and ran it again twice. Both times the bonus survived Stoneskin symptoms but not Ezerok. I could only get him to rouse Hawk on the second reload but the bonus (3MR) was lost again.
Thought the auto-rest may have been "tripping" (shrooms and tripping - lol) a bug but it doesn't appear that way.

I got a 3MR bonus from the pool and kept it even when autoresting. I decided
to manually rest and no change unless Ezerok wakes me then it disappeared.
Tried this 3 times with multiple rests same every time.
Then I entered combat and lost the bonus even on reloads so I posted in the
forum. Others have run into this but if you un/re equip weapon the bonus
returns. Also whatever the mushroom adds a bonus to gets restored when you
un/re equip weapons - going off forum posts as Ive yet to get the shroom location.
Dont know if this is a bug but it seems it may be.

The circle of stones and probably the shrouded castle seem to be part of a larger quest. I'm assuming that the castle is Baleward. I've encountered a magic message several times and an old man once who both reference lighting a flame in Baleward Castle, and that's the word on the stones.

With their troll overlord slain, the remainder of the carverclaws (http://javascript%3Cb%3E%3C/b%3E:OpenInfoWindow%28%27carverclaw%27%29;) inhabiting the cave take flight, abandoning a place they will always associate with fear and death.
The sound of many footfalls fading into the distance as the denizens of this dark place flee for the mouth of the cave, fills you with a renewed sense of hope -- and great relief.
Realizing that you now have little to fear from the carverclaws, you set about making a thorough search of the cave troll's lair.

I've been back to the cave a few times since I cleared it. Nothing new, so I stopped entering it and now just ignore the opportunity.

I have discovered a bug related to an item found in Fogburgh that the GM may not be aware of.
This bug offers players an opportunity to abuse the game system.
I have seen a few posts which mention the anomoly, but it wasn't discussed as a bug.
I am emailing the GM. I could be wrong, but it's better to keep knowledge of this bug under wraps for now. If you think you know what I'm referring to, please don't take advantage of the bug.

I sent a bug report about the cave.....
The problem is, I didn't kill him, I let him go.
I asked in the report if this is a bug that will affect the "fate choice".
Here's his response.......
Hi, thanks for the report. The issue with that section involved only the text. Your decision was recorded correctly. I've fixed the section to provide text that works with either decision a player makes.

For those who want to find the pouches you need to find the Crypts. You may have to visit a Crypt more then once to get all 3. the first crypt I visited I didn't get a pouch. Then in the next 2 crypts I got a pouch. Then I got another crypt it was the same as the first one I got, fought the baddy and got the 3rd pouch.
Thanks and repped as the above just happened to me and considering the recent bugginess and the GM's apparent burgeoning penchant for tormenting us with randomness ;) I was wondering which it was.

These events:
A considerable distance inside the western, you stumble upon the scene of a recent battle.
The shattered remains of four Oakaruk lie scattered about the fog-covered forest floor.
After a close examination of the immediate area and discovering a few discernible clues, you determine that the slayer of the Oakaruk was a human wielding some sort of large, blunt instrument.
Curious as to the identity of this unknown enemy of the Oakaruk, you resolve to remain watchful for more signs of activity from someone who may prove to be a valuable ally.
Seems to be a single script, somewhat randomized. I've seen it three times with different text but the same typo: a word missing after the "whatever-ern" in the first sentence.
Not really important to gameplay, just an observation.

First off a big thumbs up to the GM for his persistence on fixing the glitch with the mushrooms and other Fogbough issues. He could have easily scrapped the mushroom content altogether but didn't - good onya GM.
Now here comes my rant.
As for the GM's growing fondness for randomizing things,
AAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH......
.......... are you friggin kiddin' me - LOL.
First the LoO and the temple appearances and now Fogbough's pouches and to a lesser degree the goblin totems, shrooms and pool.
My secondaries have been in semi-retirement since the temple content went live. The need to keep plugging away with Hawk and the recent additions in Fogbough will relegate them more so I'm afraid.
Finally some questions regarding the thread's topic.
The Maze of Thorny Vines (mushrooms) and Windowless Tower (totems) have encounters enroute to their special items.
After clearing the mushroom area the first time all but once I went straight to the mushrooms on subsequent visits - once I had to fight my way in there after clearing it the first time.
I've gotten the encounters on my second (and only thusfar) to the tower - is this the same every time or can you skip them sometimes like with the 'shroom patch?
Personal preference influenced heavily by playing time I'm sure for folks whether; A) they should stay cleared (time considerations) vs. B) having to clear them again (xp considerations).
My personal thought is A) they should stay cleared - it seems there is enough replayable content so as to not have much "down time" now.

wolf (X3) = +1 SP
Havoc
08-03-2009, 06:30 AM
Ok, I think I've nearly got it.
Base -> 0 MR, 0 SP
Total = 0 + 0 = 0
For every Hawk totem, increase the total by 1
For every Griffon totem, increase the total by 2
For every Dragon totem, increase the total by 3
Final MR = (total/2) rounded down
Final SP = (total/2) rounded up
So, for Griffon/Griffon/Griffon
Total = 3x2 = 7
MR = 3, SP = 4
The only ones that don't fit are the 3xDragon and 3x Wolf.

Also BillyDaKid got 5 mr at the pool so he won't be attending the pool party anymore. Griffon spoiler below.
The Goblin Totem Block (Go Back)
This foot-long block of engraved wood bears three small, square impressions on one of its sides. Into each of these impressions may be set a goblin totem. When all three impressions are filled, the block's power will be bestowed upon its bearer.
You possess the following totems: dragon (x3), griffon (x3), hawk (x3), wolf (x3)
Your current configuration of Totems on the block provides you with the following bonuses: +3 to Melee Rating and +3 to Stamina Points.
Impression #1
This impression contains a griffon totem.
Remove the totem
Place a totem in impression #1
Impression #2
This impression contains a griffon totem.

bummer. i went back to the tower. The lid lifts completely off the small iron box, revealing a shallow, red, cloth-lined interior. Much to your surprise, since you had expected to find another of the small, engraved square stones, the box is empty.
You wonder if perhaps you currently possess the maximum number of stones you might hope to obtain from the box.
You carefully replace the lid and make a thorough search of the remainder of the room before turning and preparing to make your way out of the chamber and out of the windowless tower.
Please continue...

Took care of it. Mod-editing a post on purpose - who woulda thought. ;) No offense billydakid - it's just I've accidentally edited a couple that I meant to quote. :o
Was wondering how many blocks did you have when you got the text? Thanks in advance.
May be problematic in trying to get the best combo since they are undroppable - unless I'm overlooking a way to intentionally get rid of them.
Also thanks and a rep to billydakid for reporting this earlier as it may figure into a solution to the above spoiler info.
This is what happens if you get more than three blocks of an animal. You suddenly hear something crumbling amongst your possessions. A careful inventory of your belongings reveals that one of your totems, one bearing an engraving of a wolf, has disintegratedt more then 3 blocks of an animal.
Joddelle

As you suspected, billydakid answered your question Oldschool. Billy reported earlier that he now had three of each animal, which is the max.
You can only have three of each animal. I've encountered 20!!! hawks, but only have 3 in my inventory. You get the pickup when you go over, but one you had before disentigrates.

Don't feel too bad; I'm in the same boat. I've encountered the moth three times and found the cave in the crevice four, but only one crypt so far. No lady in green, either.
I still fount no crypt, but this is the assurance from GM:
Hi, there are three separate encounters that lead into the ancient crypts. The important
thing is to enter the crypts and explore them. Which encounter you use to get into them
doesn't matter. Those encounters are random and you can encounter them multiple times, so
you should be able to run into them again.

The effects of the mushrooms seem to last around 6-8 hours.
The effects of the shimmering pool don't seem to expire.
Also... I've noticed that if I look at my refection before drinking, that the pool effect doesn't seem to change. Though that could just be a 3-in-a-row coincidence.

I just got this response from the gm. He says they both expire the pool and the shrooms. However I haven't lost my mr from the pool so I don't intend to go back and drink from there lol, since I had a +5 mr boost to it early last night. .
Hi, just saw your email pop in. Your bonus from the mushroom probably
expired. The mushroom bonus and the bonus from drinking from the pool in
Fogbough are temporary. You can access those spots again and restore the
bonus (the bonus is different for different colours and sizes of
mushrooms, and is random when drinking from the pool).
Each of those locations can be accessed every hour.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if you need any
additional info on anything.
All the best!

An encounter with a phantom. "Go back to the realm of the living," hisses the phantom, its thin, wavering voice almost like the sighing of the wind. "The lord of this wood does not look kindly upon wanderers in his domain. You are not welcome here." I almost expected a referance to what's her name.

Well guess the pool had a bug. I turned in and lost my points I gained last night in the pool. I was hoping those points would stick around guess we have to go to the pool again. I'm not sure its worth it though because you don't know which thing will get the points mr or sp or nv and we won't have them for to long. Oh well was nice to have 200 for a day. I guess i'll have to buy some more equipment to get over 200 mr. Only 5 away now seems so far compared to being there for a day and a half.

Seeing the amount of posts over the last couple of days, this 12 hour "dry spell" in posts makes me wonder if nothing new has been found or if everyone is burning out in the Fogbough Forest?
So far, I haven't found 1/2 of the stuff that's been posted. I just keep running into "regular" combat.
The GM did say that it's the largest explorable area. If it takes months for me to find everything, great! That's like having daily updates for a months. I've got to stop "rushing" the game and sit back and enjoy it more (if it's possible;)).

OK, so I got my 3rd pouch and took it to Tallys at his cottage.
Tallys's breathing becomes rapid and his face flushes as you produce the three black pouches and lay them out on his table. The master adventurer quickly picks up one of the pouches and examines it closely.
ITEM You're no longer carrying: Heavy (but empty) Black Pouch
"Where did you...how did you...I don't..." he stammers, looking incredulously upon the three pouches. "This is all a bit too much, Alanne."
---
It takes Tallys only a minute or so to regain his composure, at which point he offers you a seat and rushes to remove a bubbling pot of palo from the fire. He pours two mugs and slams them down on the table before going back to his close inspection of the three pouches.
"This is most remarkable!" he says, beaming. "I never doubted that you would succeed, if the pouches were to be found, mind, but I never expected to be congratulating you on such a triumph in such short order. Well done, Alanne!"
---
Tallys takes the three pouches into an adjoining room and returns moments later with a heavy wooden chest. He opens the container, tosses in the pouches, and then closes the lid. With what appears to be a well-rehearsed maneuver, he produces an iron key from his pocket and locks the chest.
"There, my mind is now somewhat at ease," he says, as the redness in his face diminishes. "Well, this is quite unexpected. Here, let me fetch you something."
---
The master adventurer again disappears into the adjoining room, taking the locked chest with him, only to return a few moments later bearing a bulging leather pouch which he places on the table before you.
"Please don't think of it as a reward," he says. "Instead, it would be a relief to me if you were to consider it a gift."
You open the pouch and are startled to discover that it contains thirty-two Adventurer Tokens.
AT + 32 You've acquired 32 Adventurer Tokens.
You thank him for the tokens, but he shakes his head.
"Not necessary, I assure you," he says. "Well then, I suppose that all of this calls for an early supper. Stay put, Alanne, I beg of you. I would never be able to forgive myself were you to miss the chance to taste my hare and snake stew. It's my own concoction, mind. It will be quite ready for the table in just a little while."
---
After a splendid meal of hare and snake stew, which much to your surprise holds up to Tallys's boasting, and several mugs of palo, you bid farewell to Tallys.
"Be careful if you continue to wander in that wood," he says as you depart. "I've stopped my little excursions into Fogbough, you know. It's a bit too dangerous for my taste, but then, I'm not quite as hardy as I once was. Well, take care, Alanne!"
Then you’re back at the screen where you can go to either the Trading post or the cottage.

I don't know if this has been done already in this thread, but anyway, here's what I've encountered so far in Fogbough (that I can remember):
For places I can return to:
- thorny vine maze with mushroom patch
- windowless tower
- cave with the wolf-pelt warrior spirit guy (cave in the briars)
- deep shimmering pool
- mysterious circle of stones
- distant view of the castle (fog-shrouded castle)
- oakaruk graveyard (no action there yet)
- a rising fortress (oakaruks building some kind of fortress for the sorceress)
Repeatable combat scenarios:
- the three crypts (so far I've gotten pouches only from two of them, though I've fought the undead people in all three)
- moth and caterpillar cave
- the troll lair with those cave-claw creatures (I wound up killing the troll, so now the cave's empty - not sure if this will make me miss out on future events)
- oakaruk pit
Other encounters:
- Tally of course
- a lone goblin hunter (I spared him, and he said, "so-and-so will remember!")
- the guy whose horse 'Whisper' went missing (I retrieved it, and he said he'd have a reward in the future for me)
- some glimpses of oakaruks massacred by someone, potential ally perhaps
- the ghostly guy talking about the heir to the castle
- an old guy hobbling along in the forest... I forget what he said, only that he's a potentially cool character (I like old seemingly harmless characters who reveal themselves to be powerful)
- some lost people getting chased by oakaruks - got them away
- I ran into the sorceress at some point, at an oakaruk encampment maybe?
- some big creature's trail (creature hasn't revealed itself yet)
I've also fought forest guardian and headless corpse (why do they have a special lead-in to their fights?); also, the oakaruk scout.
Ordinary combat creature with the best name = "oozing beetle". Also, "one-legged corpse"? (must have trouble getting around)
I've probably forgotten some things here and there - I like how much there's been so far though!

I've encountered all that, and after all of it I have just one pouch. I can confirm that at least one boss doesn't seem to recur after you find the pouch, the chick I believe since I did get a crypt earlier today that only held wandering undead. And as soon as I get my third dragon totum I'm saying to hell with the windowless tower, even if there are still totums left to collect. I'm getting to hate that place with a burning, fiery passion.

So far they've recurred for me (I've fought the female undead one a couple of times after getting the pouch from her lair the first time).
And yes, the windowless tower is annoying.
So is the caterpillar cave.

I don't even go there anymore now that I've got the wolf garment and the block. I just run from the moth when I encounter it.

The Phantom Servant also needs a magic weapon/Wyxryn's ring. He also has 1000 SP, but was 3+ at MR 63 (the lowest I could get while buffed with Fogbough effects)
Also for me, the three 'entry scenes' into the tombs varied about which tomb they send you to, but you get a Pouch from each of the three bosses and don't see that boss again after the drop, though you might have to fight them several times each before the drop occurs.
I got my one and only pouch from the first crypt I found. The boss I had to kill was Malxor. I have now found a total of 8 crypts and have killed him in 5 of them.

The Silver Crest Reborn
Having returned from your exploration of Fogbough Forest, you learn that Teek, while on a mission to recover one of the last gems for the Bowl of Blood, has disappeared somewhere in the foggy vastness of the cursed wood.
When Idriskkar goes off in search of Teek and also vanishes, you have no choice but to venture back into the forest to find them -- if indeed they've managed to survive the perils of Fogbough.
More new content on the way.

I wonder if the GM has foreshadowed our meeting with Teek in those glimpses we get in the forest of dead oakaruks and hints of a "potential ally" (if it is indeed Teek killing them too).

Not neccessarily, unless he's changed his weapon preference. He always used to advocate the axe rather strenuously. Unless he's using the handle to do his butchery I doubt he's using an axe. I do hope this content isn't too long in coming. The current scheme is already becoming monotonous.

No, you're confusing things. After using an item (be it Wand, Finger, or Blessing) you also attack with your weapon. You don't attack with the Wand, so the message is not about it.

The above is another "benefit" resulting from the removal of the 10 letter rule.

I wonder if the temple appearances will be tweaked to be more frequent with the approach of the next chapter in the Bowl of Blood. With 3 secondaries with nary a gem between them I hope so.

I just did 111 explorations and got 1 cave and 0 pouches! Looks like the cave rate is less than 1% and the pouch rate is even less!

Fogbough is more perilous than I could have ever imagined -- caves, tombs, living mazes, and Oakaruk everywhere...
New Fogbough content?!

Hmm. Probably refers to the maze of vines. *sad*

You're already luckier than me. This forest hate me.
I've had about 1500 explorations and still can't find all three pouches.

Pretty much right after my last post about meeting Molxar all the time I bumped into the Phantom again and this time met Zibduril :-) I got my pouch, saved, and continued exploring and the very next encounter hit them both again. Just like buses, nothing for ages then two come at once! :-)
