Was wondering how many folks use Microsoft Silverlight and what your experience with it has been?
Currently don't use it but considering it and was also wondering about security issues/concerns with it.
Although I normally use Firefox which has a version available the rest of the family uses IE8 so I'm thinking about installing it on both Explorer and Firefox.
Don't know that this matters but have multiple systems and am running a combo of Windows 7 and XP.
Any feedback appreciated.

It is the video and audio player that my university uses to broadcast its games online. It works OK, some problems sometimes, but nothing serious.

Thanks Spencer and I'm assuming you can not only uninstall it from both browsers but disable it via add ons as well.
Was wondering does it change the "look" of the browsers or just add options?

I have only used it for that one usage that I mentioned. I browse with Mozilla, so I downloaded it through there. It can be disabled through add-ons. I am not sure about the look as it is not my default viewer.

Good point about disabling it, or even uninstalling it altogether.
Thanks again. Probably will install it on both and give it a try when I have some time to tinker around with it.

I never heard of it before, so I can't help you there.
Could you fix the typo in the thread title, though? Thx. :)

I have been using Silverlight since it was first put out for download a couple of years ago. It works much better now than it did a couple of years ago. I have seen more and more websites that have videos starting to offer Silverlight. I like it and I think it will only be made better as Micorosoft continues to work on it.
