This is part one of a series of stories culminating in an open RP to capture the man who is the subject of the first part of the story

Jodd Jibrik, the Shadow Assassin, walked up to the King's Citadel carrying the fake summons for a private audience with His Majesty, and hoping against hope that the guards would let him pass. When he got to the front gate, he presented them with the summons, and with little fuss, they let him in.
When the guards in front of the King's chamber looked over the summons, they determined them to be legitimate and sent for King Wenreald, who, when he saw Jodd, said, "I never sent for this man!"
Realizing his cover was blown Jodd pulled out his dagger and stabbed Wenreald in the chest multiple times before fleeing, using his telekinetic powers on anyone who stood in his way.
As he ran out the front, slipping under the gate as it closed, several people in the area, including two adventurers in the area, known simply as Mia and Esti, saw the commotion and independently gave chase, losing him when he entered a portal he created. Knowing he was safe for now he set off to find his horse.

Mia pulled one of the guards aside and asked, "What happened?"
"That man stabbed the king!"
"Will he be okay?"
"I don't know."
