Grand slam club [Archive]

Thought I'd make a thread for those folks that have done 1000+ damage in all four mp scenarios.

What about a "grand slam club" or some similarly titled social group for the same folks? I'd start it but unfortunately I've yet to inflict 1000+ damage on Talderus Redborn.

Well...I can make the group as I've done it and (not to sound presumptuous) I believe I may have been the first to do so as well, at least that's documented on the (previous) forum. I was going to make it invite only, but since the 1000+ club isn't, then I can rely on the honor system as well.

With Thordon I have had 1000+ damage in a round at leats once in all 4 MP.

1 minute ago ... Thordon, wielding (The Axe of The Silver Blaze) dealt 1032 points of damage to Talderus Redborn and escaped the fight unscathed....

< 1 minute ago ... Thordon, wielding (The Axe of The Silver Blaze) dealt 1059 points of damage to The ancient dusk dragon and left the fight moderately wounded....

< 1 minute ago ... Thordon, wielding (The Axe of The Silver Blaze) dealt 1012 points of damage to The pumpkin beast and left the fight moderately wounded....

That Axe must do some frequent and amazing specials.
I routinely do 900-ish damage using weapon only, but I needed to move to Gating to deliberately do 1,000.

The axe has 5 different specials and the do at times happen frequently. Also at times I get frequent bonus to my MR from my hacking.

I'm not sure when I did my first 1,000+ on each of the multi-players, but it was a long, long time ago.

I never thought to record them until a few days ago, and when I did, it didn't take long at all. I just switched to Gating though all rounds and had to wait for a session where I got 20+ rounds with no flubs.

I don't think MR helps at all when you're already at 3+, but it's good to know about the weapon

These are the five different specials my axe has. 1) Arms of Flame, 2) A Wreath of Fire, 3) An Arc of Flame, 4) A Fiery Wind, 5) A Howling Gale of Flame.

Rommel has had 1000 or more on all four. I don't remember the exact scores but Thordon and I had one where I got to around 1360 against the dragon.

Like I said in the 1000+ Club they've raised the number of rounds per attack so it's not that hard to reach 1000 anymore. Maybe it should be changed to the 1200+ Club.

I actually had that 1360 about six months ago before they lowered the number of rounds per attack.

on topic... this is going to make collecting weapons/onyx bands/iron shards a royal pain in the patootie! Six sessions of combat, then a 8 hour wait. Ouch!

Yes, and if you're insane enough to do it with only 98 SP (Hastifer raised it), then that makes it even harder.

Hawk finally got 1000+ damage against his fourth mp boss - the wolf. :)

Although I will admit the recent mp tweaks took a bit of the chest thumping out of it.

Slightly more on topic...

In my experience, getting 1000+ requires a combination of lucky special attacks and lots of devestating attacks. Or liberal usage of powers.

So basically, even with 30 rounds, it's still not "completely" common to get 1000+.

Having seen Thingirl's post I thought it was time I paid some attention to this:
