Hi everyone,

I've now moved to London for my new (and first) job. If anyone lives here, or comes for a visit to London, do let me know.

P.S. I'll make a lot more effort to meet you if you are 1) a girl, 2) my age, 3) hot. :P

You know, I don't think it's wise to be looking for someone like that on a forum like this...

The postscript was meant as a joke. Yes, totally, completely and utterly. No doubts. Undoubtedly. For sure.

Dude, I'd go for finding a date on this forum over most personals sites. You're more likely to have things in common with most of the people here...

Havoc, congrats on your new, first job. My best wishes of quick and sustained success. And I hope to see you skyrocketing in the equipment rankings as a result ;) . The GM and rest of us would not complain at all :) .

Well I might complain..a little ;)

But on a serious note, that's great news, man. I've always wanted to visit London. You should post some pictures of the locale in a photo album; I forgot you could do that, 'til just now, and it seemed like a decent idea :p

Lmao, just seen this and your postscript made me chuckle. I'm allegedly 3 hrs away by train in God's County. I live in Plymouth, Devon. I come up to the smoke once in a while usually for reunions or rugby :D

Ok, once again, kindly translate "smoke" into American English (lol).

I've never heard London called that, but hey, always happy to learn something new.

"China" I know from similar Aussie slang.

I'm now reminded of when we had the British consul general speak to my fifth grade class and the teacher was "translating" for us (lol).

Speaking of translation, I posted a TV news item connected with the Metallica concert recently.

As I watched it, I was acutely aware that the presenter was quite hard to understand. It's true he was working to time constraints and was speaking faster than normal, but I found myself thinking that anyone "foreign" mightn't understand a word he was saying... even if they're English-speaking foreigners.

It wasn't too bad Badstench although I only got a word or two of the opening 5 seconds or so until he started talking about the one dollar flights.
