Tzal-Toalth, egg and Thulwy

So, I've defeated the Four Spirits and talked to the Guildmaster about tzal-toalth a second time. For some reason the egg hasn't come yet.

Have you found the second gem yet? If you haven't I think the egg won't show up.

I just saw that I skipped getting one from Mezaryl. I've sold Goblindoom and I don't remember if I ever had the rest of the items that she may want. ARRGH!

It's also a question whether you really want to do the quest or not.

You have to pay some AT to get the second gem (even with 70 diplomacy), and what you get in the end is the completed version of the staff and some xp. However I don't think the staff is a dominant weapon now because of the introduction of the ice shield:

15(lv8 shield) + 24(SSL) + 5(snake head) = 44 MR
43(tzal-toalth with 100 necro) + 2(eye) = 45 MR (and you lose 14 SP and 5 NvR)

If you have done PGV than you should have the Wraithking's Sceptre. The Medallion of Phase Form you get from PGIV. Both items are on Mezaryl list.

Then I sold them both. I don't want the staff, because it is not optimal, just to beat that monster. Then again, I doubt that's all worth my 8 AT.

There is also the Raven's Foot Medallion from Lorgg the Slaver (river pirates scenario in Trithik) although some folks may have taken his warhammer.

But exp you get for doing the adventure is great, and that would make for a great QS bonus also. Just a thought. I only did the adventure for the exp. Plus at some point it will be a good weapon to use when working on leveling up staves skill.

At one place you can USE the staff instead of a skill or power, and get some general experience for it.7 Goblins part I, for those who don't remember.In the future more such encounters could be added.

And the monster, SAVE BEFORE FIGHTING HER! I defeated her (and died once in the attempt) and the second time (after a visit to Tallys) it was hard, and she was sitl 14+ WITH DEMONSCOURGE.
