Hi All,
I was wondering whether anyone knows whether or not your charachter gets to keep the Adventurer's bonus pack when you restart the charachter, or if you lose it in the process. Any help would be much appreciated!

Eh, I think I lost it, never bothered getting it again, though if you ask politely, the GM is likely to let you have a second one. Maybe.

Welcome to the forum cddanforth and congrats on going AG.

I'd definitely email the GM before I restart. I think that someone posted on the old forum that they got the pack on a restart (Barn maybe?) although I'm not certain and that may have been after corresponding with the GM as he may have to add it to your inventory.

Absolutely, definately, postitively, you DO get the chance to pick up the Bonus Pack again if you restart. And if there's a glitch (there used to be with this and the Dragonclaw Amulet - but I haven't seen either glitch in a long while so I think they are fixed.) - just contact the GM and he'll hook you up.

I wouldn't take the Bonus Pack right away though - wait until you're comfortable in the game and decide to start a better character and give the pack to that one.

Thanks for clearing that up. Now that you mention it Hawk encountered the Dragonclaw glitch but none of my secondaries which were created later had that problem.

Funny, I haven't yet gotten to pick up the bonus pack on my restart yet.

Only one of your characters gets it, and I actually switched character I gave it to (on the same account) so I know you can.

Thanks very much!
I had a problem getting the bonus pack so the GM went ahead and assigned it to my main. I was planning on getting used to the game first like you suggested, but I figured I was lucky to get it at all at that point.
I've only just scratched the surface of Sryth but am already loving it. I had just about given up hope of finding a D&D type RPG that I could play on my own when I stumbled across an add.
In any case I'm really grateful for all the feedback, and can't wait to get back to the game!

Notice your D&D reference cddanforth - I found Sryth in much the same manner.

A little unasked for advice (that has spoiler potential) that hopefully will help with what I call the "Sryth learning curve". The hints/tips/strategies thread on here is helpful especially the post by Nearvirgo known on this forum as Joddelle for optimizing powers/skills. I daresay it's pretty much a standard blueprint for many players including myself.

Also the wiki is an excellent source of information especially the character start up guides. Again there is spoiler potential here and on the wiki although the new wiki and forum's spoiler tags lessens that somewhat - especially on the wiki.

Hope your stay is a long and enjoyable one.

Thanks for the tips! The wiki has been extremely helpful so far, especially when it comes to making sure I didn't miss anything at the end of a quest, and finding quests that are right for my level.
I haven't really looked through the forum much though, so I'll be sure to check out Jodelle's start-up post.

Actually, it was a post I made in the old forum and that Oldschool added to this forum via a quote. It's the first post in the Hints thread of this sub-forum. And it's stickied.

I only say this so you don't go looking for a post I made, since that's not how it appears in this forum.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, as well as for making the guide in the first place!
