The wiki states that the quest with the cane-shaped pendant as a reward is now back in play as of April 2009 (if I remember right). Is this accurate? I can't seem to find that quest. Was the pendant one of the 'holiday' awards no longer available? I sure would like that pendant for my collection.

Awww. That's too bad. The wiki should be updated to reflect that since it clearly states it was re-introduced. I quote:
This special, winter-themed event was introduced on the 14th of December 2008 for AG members, available for a limited time, and only for AG members, as a holiday gift from the GM
On April 28, 2009, the adventure was brought back, but without the special Holiday portion of the final reward. However, the adventure still provides a substantial Experience reward and a great challenge!

I don't know how long the GM left the Blizzard in the Hills live when he brought it back. When it was live for the second time you could still get the Cane-Shaped Pendant.

Not likely. Did you finished all the prerequisite quests?

I think I've done every quest there is, except this one, grrr.

You might want to check them out all over again. I'm sure it's still there less than 1 month ago... The pendant (and quite some AT) is still among the rewards, too. Anyways, I believe the rewards are just too much to be removed.

So, it's "santa's" part that's gone? (finding the gift boxes).

I think leaving Blizzard in the Hills active through summer is simply ridiculous. Re-introduce it next year if it would make everyone else feel better, but having a winter-themed quest complete with Sryth-Santa during summer is ridiculous.

It is equally ridiculous to detract from the realism of the game as it is to be bothered by that detraction. It is only a game. I'm still struggling with parts of it, so I have enough distractions that the unrealism is tolerable. When I get to the point there's nothing left to do but grind for those higher stats, then will I give a yell.

We have a permanent haunted pumpkin patch. Two of them, come to think of it. So I guess persistent Christmas-themed adventures aren't any weirder.

Nah, if I remember it correctly, the only thing that's removed is the 8 AT in the final rewards.

I concur if I remember it correctly as well - lol.

It's 8 when "Santa" gives you a ride home.

I just did the quest last night. Had to save 12 villagers from the Blizzard and the side quest of finding 20 boxes with wrappings and ribbons or something. Actually a very profitable quest (exp. wise). I think I finished it over a 1.5 hour or so period because of the 30 minute reset on the explore attempts.

just finished it myself on my second character. For like 5 seconds, I regretted only having 14 skills and 10 powers when I got the massive S%P exp.

Yeah, that happened to Alanne too.

Well, it's winter in Australia...
I'm glad I have the opportunity to play it on my new character. I know what you mean about the contrast feeling weird, but having it year-round works to accommodate everyone. :)
And in case Maskull didn't get his/her question answered, it's in Hawklor.
