Sounds interesting. Think I might be out cos of the time zone thing, though.

Interesting and count me in Zm.
I'm guessing you're familiar with it? So I suggest you for narrator/moderator (unless or until others are/get familiar). I like the idea of a Sryth themed or LoTR (or other fantasy-themed) setting, but I'm open to any theme.
I'm not familiar with it (other than the base premise) but the article is very informative (I read most of it 'cept the optional roles, variations and strategy sections which I skimmed for now).
Again count me in as it seems it'll be entertaining.

I'm guessing due to the time zones and varying online times that a liberal time frame is used with forum versions as well as a lot of PM'ing.

I'm up. I know quite a bit about the way this game works, having played a few games myself.

This looks like it could be mildly-entertaining, though if some sort of silencer-type role is introduced, silenced players should be allowed to PM their vote to whomever is the Narrator. (This is to simulate being able to raise their hands in a 'live' game.)

Right now, I'm thinking a fairly simple game; with four classes: Civilian, Police, Mafia, and Doctor. Obviously, names will be adapted. Votes will be pmed to the moderator, and discussion can take place in PMs or public.

Seems fun, I've played similar games before. But there is a question about time zones.
How would be play to give people with different timezones (like me) a chance to play? There's also the question of what happens if a player doesn't answer in time. Does the game stop? If so, I would need to refrain since I can't guarantee my presence even everyday.

I'm thinking that the game would only proceed to the next round when all players have responded. Or, within two days.

I'm guessing that if there are some no-responders in a round, depending on the number of responses short, there would be that same number of people randomly having their vote counted twice during that particular round.
Would that sound semi-reasonable?

I want to play, but I know that I can't get on here on Saturday or Sunday and probably not on Friday either. And I can't get on on Monday until late afternoon....
Now, I think that all of the Mafia Tzaril discussions should take place in PMs, and the Townspeople discussions on open forum.

Maybe some sort of voting-in-advance, so if you don't come around one day, your decisions (albeit less informed) are still taken into account?
