A while ago I started a new character in an attempt to avoid some of my glaring mistakes. So in view of this I am attempting to gain the Dragonwing Breastplate, without much luck so far I might add , so far I have gotten:-
Varkyn's Trick Ring
Tzarbiryth (several times )
Shimmering Wolf Pelt ( several times)
Tzal-Kagoth
Exalted Sapphire Longsword
Jade Encrusted Gauntlets
and lastly obtained :-
Nimble Leather Boots
As you can guess I have been trying for several days to get the Breastplate (just got the Nimble Leather boots again)...................... does anyone know if the items come round in sequence such as the items listed on Wiki?
Or is it totally random?

They are random. I think the timer for a new prize is every 90 minutes.

Hmmmm well I have gotten Tzal-Kagoth yet again  and am now wondering how long to continue trying for the breastplate.

My personal preference from this adventure is Varkyn's Trick Ring, but the Nimble Boots are also very good - argueably better than the Dragonwing Breastplate.
My main character (Joddelle) has the Breastplate, but if I were starting a new character, I'd go for the ring or the boots or the breastplate, whichever came up first.

I stuck with the Tzal-Kagoth when I got it, mainly due to the fact I like high MR and don't want to spend that many Adventure Tokens. The Trick Ring is good for the bonus, and the nimble items are good(unless you already have 20 Agility). It's your decision, but one of the Cold Winter's Night's items has a breastplate with a point or two under the Dragonwing's Breastplate.... but you'll also have to redo that multiple times : /

Ahhh well all his attributes are at 20 except for Body which is 18 and Aura which is 19. I did try out the Black Blade in Axepath but it does not work that well his MR is 64 and SP is 73 ................... oh well back to the grind.

Tzal-Kagoth is nice, but there are better weapons that you can get for free.

Be patient (that's the wrong word, isn't it). It could take a long time. I almost settled for the Nimble boots. But the Brestplate or the boots or even the crown are probbally the best choise for armor. The Trick ring is good for the ATs Don't bother with a weapon from this quest.

Doh I now get Nimble Plate Boots  yeah quite good but as I have come this far I will stick at it and try for the Breastplate.

I'd take the boots. The ability to dodge attacks that would normally hit you is better than the meager 3MR and 4SP the Dragonwing gives you over the free Nightsong Breastplate. Plus, you can buy a better breastplate than the Dragonwing, but you can't buy better boots than those Nimble Plate (well - for stats you can, but stats aren't everything, especially with that dodge power)

Yeah, later on down the line, while doing quests. The Creyn Blade comes to mind. And the Hale Blade, which is pretty sweet above most of the others, in my opinion. I took the Tzal-Kagoth when I was first starting out cause that's what I needed at the time, an MR boost. My SP were fine. I think, actually, at one point the MR and SP were the same, around fifty or sixty.

Hmmm well my MR is 63 and SP is 73 right not equipped with Goblindoom and a Splint Breastplate (if) I picked up from one of my " Victims " ;) and i am not far off the required funds to purchase the Hale Blade which will have to do until I can afford to obtain Rotbane or acquire The Creyn Blade so the Breastplate I am still holding out for.
Got the Shimmering Wolf Pelt ................... yet again :o Doh!!!!!!!!!!

The Warlord's Helm is also a good item If you get it before the Dragonwing.

All my guys have the helm, just because that's what they found first...

No, no, I already went through this on another topic when I found out I had Stoneskin Fever lol. Which reminds me. I think if we ever had a Sryth convention, the amount of folks carrying a Shimmering Silver Longsword would be overwhelming lol

And what, people dressed as Tallys, Mezaryl, and Teek would man the souviner and food stands.

Now that's a fact ;) even Plezier has a SSL.
Just tried the Pumpkin again and got the Shimmering Wolf Pelt .................................. YET AGAIN .
Seems it's either the Exalted Sapphire Longsword of the Exalted Emerald Longsword  now if it was the Exalted Diamond Longsword I might just go with that but .................................. that's another I have never seen as yet.

"Two hundred Adventure Tokens for a soft pretzel?!"
"You can return it at any time for a full refund, albeit, for a small restocking fee"

How does that work? It's food. Tallys should be at the souviner stand.

I dunno, I just saw it in my head, Tally's trying to get me to buy an edible item that I know he couldn't restock.
He is a crafty fellow.

If someone at a Sryth convention tries to charge you adventure tokens for anything, that's when you pull out the bag of poker chips that you've carefully marked "AT" with a permanent marker. :)

Tally's would know that it's a fake.
(@ A supermod or Havoc: Would you be so kind as to move the posts regarding the Sryth convention to a differant thread that has an approaite title?)
