"Anjurlak told me that should you come around, he wanted you to have this."
Joddren produces a small wooden box with a cracked lid and hands it to you. You gaze down curiously at the box, before sliding off the lid and revealing its contents -- three short, engraved, wooden rods.
The three wooden rods will not appear as separate items in your inventory. They will appear as part of the description of the Tablet of Merzekk as you have stored them in the engraved box.

And to have the ToM (hehe, sometime nobody but me knowing what I mean with my acronyms is a good thing), you need to have compleated The Silver Crest Reborn and go back to the cave.

I fixed the spoliler tag for you, thingirl (you had misspelled the word "spoiler", resulting in the tag not working).
Thanks, everyone. Looks like it'll be a while before I get to this.

@ Shadowblack: Thanks, hehe I do that alot, although I tend to catch it. Repped for being a good mod.
@ topic: Text: The North Bell Cooperage (situated only stone's throw from the northern bell that hangs at the upper end of Mirgspil's quay) is a busy establishment. Several coopers and a handful of apprentices toil away in the bustling workshop, crafting the barrels that are used in the transport of all manner of goods aboard the vessels that navigate the River Trynd.
You take a brief look around, wondering if this is indeed the place where Anjurlak plies his trade. When a young apprentice approaches you and asks if there's something you need, you inquire about Anjurlak. He immediately turns and waves over a tall, perilously-slender, greying man.
"You must be Alanne," he man says, smiling. "We've heard quite a bit about you. I'm afraid that Anjurlak has gone off for a few weeks, though when he returns I've no doubt he'll want to see you."
Suddenly, as if the thought nearly slipped his mind, the man motions for you to follow him into a room at the back of the shop.
---
The man closes the door, shutting out the noise of the bustling cooperage's main floor, and introduces himself as Joddren, master barrel maker and owner of the cooperage.
"Anjurlak told me that should you come around, he wanted you to have this."
Joddren produces a small wooden box with a cracked lid and hands it to you. You gaze down curiously at the box, before sliding off the lid and revealing its contents -- three short, engraved, wooden rods.
"I'm afraid I can't tell you what they are, or what purpose they could possibly serve," he says, "but I think Anjurlak might know more about them."
---
You carefully study the three wooden rods. They are all roughly the same length, and each of them bears the intricate engraving of a warrior holding up a sword. The style of the engraving immediately brings to mind the Tablet of Merzekk -- an object already in your possession -- and you're all but certain that these wooden rods are somehow related to it.
After thanking Joddren for the rods, you carefully tuck them away inside the engraved wooden box that holds the reformed Tablet of Merzekk.
The three wooden rods will not appear as separate items in your inventory. They will appear as part of the description of the Tablet of Merzekk as you have stored them in the engraved box.
---
Joddren tells you that he expects that Anjurlak will return soon, but that he has been a different man since his return to Mirgspil.
"I'd warned him not to go off with that Hynrith," he says. "Hynrith fancied himself quite the adventurer, though I daresay I think he found more danger than adventure on his ill-advised excursions. Seems that Hynrith finally came to the end he so often flirted with, though I'm glad that you were there to see that Anjurlak didn't follow his fate."
---
At length, you bid Joddren farewell and leave the North Bell Cooperage.
With the three curious wooden rods now in your possession, you step back onto the streets of Mirgspil. And the location is, naturally, AG only.
As for who's who Anjurlak and Hynrith are from when you go back to the cave.
The ToM The Tablet Of Merzekk
* Class: Misc
* Encumbrance: 0
The three tablet fragments you collected were mysteriously made whole and now rest inside this engraved wooden box -- a container given to you by Anjurlak -- a cooper from Mirgspil. The entire tablet fits perfectly in the box, leaving you little doubt that this curious container was made for it.
The word 'MERZEKK' is etched across the top of the tablet. Below the word, a short verse has now appeared, etched into the surface of the stone:
"Less three eyes to sparkle bright,
A rusted blade to be;
Seek the three beyond all sight,
Set sleeping spirit free;
Path of honour, test of faith,
A trial looms for thee;
Go forth a hero, thrice reborn,
Set sleeping spirit free."
The scene engraved upon the lid of this long, ancient wooden box, depicts a mighty, sword-wielding warrior beheading a serpent.
The three short, engraved, wooden rods given to you by Joddren at the North Bell Cooperage in Mirgspil, are safely tucked away inside the engraved box that holds the tablet.

This would seem to indicate that a conclusion to this most lengthy of quests is in the near future. As I said in another thread I only hope the end reward is worth the wait.

I bet the GM is tortured by the fact that he wants to finish the Sword of Merzekk without really wanting to. That's why the 3rd Gem is so complicated with Tablet Fragments, and now sticks, and after that ??????? .
After all, he's about to close a chapter that's 5+ years old. Lol .... :p

You're welcome Thingirl. I've never heard of Adventurers' Rations either. I wonder if they're like those MRE's? Anyone who has family who've been in the US Navy should be familiar with those. My dad was in the Navy for twenty years and we had a lot of experience with MRE's. For those who don't know that stood for Meal Ready to Eat, and they were usually rather nasty. The food was dehydrated and had to be rehydrated. It was still rather disgusting.

Well, paladin, they are much better now, but still not what I would call good food. Not much has to be rehydrated now and they come with their own mini heaters to heat them up. You can get stuff like chicken ala king, spaghetti and meatballs, grilled chicken, chili, decent stuff...I still would not pay money for them, but they are not at least edible.
