Bowl of Blood Gems [Archive]

How do you get the gems for the Bowl of blood becuse i assume you get it after going through the LoO challenge which i have gone through with the bowl which I got filled with the blood and cant find the gems. I've gone through like 8 times without geting one.

And it only appears if the portal is at level 11 or higher. Good luck, you'll nead it.

LOL ................. well you need to find the Firey Portal and beat the Armoured Ogre to obtain the " Blood-Red Stone Key " which is needed to open the red portal to the temple where the Gems are found .................... or so I understand.

As yet I have yet to find a red Door or Portal since obtaining the " Blood-Red Stone Key " when doing the LoO.

Instead of typing out the whole thing, I'm gonna quote myself.

To get the complete Bowl: Do Ogredom until a ghost ogre finds you. She'll tell you about a cave, go there and kill the bug and get the Bowl. Go back and do Ogredom until she finds you again and fills the bowl. Continue doing Ogerdom until you get a level skip (second portal). Go in and chose the fire wreathed portal and fight Golbrum, he'll give you a key. This part is repetitive and annoying, as you have to get 10 gems. Do Ogerdom until you find a red door (found at the end of the level skip tunnel if found of level 11 or higher). Go through it and get through the temple (ask if you need help). Repeat 10 times. You might have a run or 2 where you don't get a temple.

OK, so I was under exaggerating. But he didn't even have the key. You might have a run where you DO get it ;) It took a while.

Yay! how many snares did you do? You get more XP for every snare you do. Take in a Kepbekk Elixir or 2.

I would heavily advise against using a kepbekk elixir. Using an elixir to get through all the snares gives you no extra reward but to exp whereas kepbekk elixirs are rare, only 22 exist in all the game.

Hmmm, I guess you're right. That didn't stop me from useing them. The XP was just too good. And if what's his name ever opens for buisnes, then we will almost surely be able to buy more Kepbekks.

I don't want to brag (especially since I ended up dying a few times as a result), but I managed to clear all 18 snares without using any elixirs - and I did it all 10 times. So it's definitely possible.

Yes, it is possible, but I don't like dying, especially because it's so random. Maybe if you die too many times in the temple, you can't access The Silver Crest Reborn.

No. Just no. There's NO WAY the GM would leave someone unable to access certain content just becase that person died too many times somewhere. Not when AG membership is supposed to grant access to ALL content.

:rolleyes:Hmmm it would appear that the BoB is still achievable to players ................. but not it seems to Plezier as since obtaining that Blood Red Key I have done dozens of runs through LoO and have not encountered a single portal or door :confused: :mad:

I must have done something really horrible somewhere :rolleyes: and perhaps this in my punsihment? ............... to never find the portal or door ..Sigh!

Hang in there Plezier. I'm guessing nothing is wrong as the appearance rate of the temples is random and FRUSTRATINGLY low for many. I've still to run my three secondaries through none of which have any gems. So I'm REALLY hoping the GM will tweak the appearance rate since the Silver Crest Reborn has went live.

Ahhhhh at last around 03:15 this morning BST I finally found the Portal and the Red door to the Temple and after dealing with 7 Snares obtained my first Gem for my Bowl.

It's a shame I didn't keep score/track of how many times I have done LoO unlike the Archery :(:o the information would have been interesting to say the least.

Oh Poo :o found the Portal again but got killed as the idol came to life and I had already had some problems witht he snare. If fact it was terrible run against the snares :( although Plezier survived and managed to escape the temple he came back into LoO with 26SP's and met the Guardians which he beat but their lord well with no chance to flee he died and so I lost my 2nd Gem :o.

OK, use QS heal aginst the Idol, and if you come out from the temple onto a 5th level, try to survive the guards and then use BoP and flee from the lord.

Hmmm QS would not work I tried it. I also tried it against Ankgeg or what ever his name was but he delivered a brutal blow for about 56 SP's of damage and killed me :(. I will flee faster next time believe me ;).

Did you have any heals left? You only have 2 heals per 24 hours. And you can NOT use a power and an item in the same round.

Hmmmm I just checked my Quickstone and it says that I have two heals which is confusing :confused: but then I do not know when the reset time is so as it's 20:13 BST (British Summer Time) as I type this it might have reset since I was in the Temple as that was quite some hours ago now. Ahhh fleeing was not an option offered as it was struck out.

Hmmm that does not expalin it :confused: so I need to check the time difference as my temple run, the second one of finding the temple that is, was about 10:00 BST and I used a Quckstone heal. Later that afternoon when i checked I had two heals left :confused:

I didn't think a save point restart after being killed restored a used Quickstone heal :( I will try the LoO and to find the temple when i get up later this morning as I am off to bed now as I am bushed. Thanks again for the titbits.

The server is Eastern US time however the server time is fast or ahead - I haven't tracked it for a few weeks or more as it seems to advance farily quickly.

The easiest way I've found to check is to do back to back saves and use the save game time stamp and allow for the 1 minute lag for saving.

So it would be 5:36AM BST. And if you die, you lose all XP, gold, and Items you aquired, but get back any QS heals, Wods, Fods, and BoPs you used. Any Item realy, just those are the main ones that are used.

Well I do now have 2 Gems on my Bowl but again had a terrible luck run with the snares and the Idol came to life so I legged it (Fled :p) OK I lost some XP's but I got to keep the Gem which at this point is FAR ..................... Far more important to me ;).

Also have a terrible Ice Cave rune today and had to retreat to rest and heal due to very poor performances against the Frozen baddies :(.

Are you doing well in the Archery tournie? And I did the temple 11 times (lost the first gem) and I never failled my Idol roll. And Demonscourge works aginst him by the way.

Ahhhh :o the Archery :o Nope I am, or was in 91st place and I do believe that 2,239 is still my best attempt. Thought I had a good chance earlier and I got 808 for target #1 but then it downhill rapidly from there :(

As for the Idol I will take Demonscourge with me the next time I do LoO ;) and thankyou for the tip. Hopefully my luck with the snares will improve :p. My idol roll is 2 to 1 .............. failure that it :( I only managed the success on the first run the last 2 have been failures :o.

It's Shadowblack you should thank. He's the one who tryed it and posted about it. And take Kepbekk elixors in with you and make sure that you have at least 1 QS heal.

Um, I currently have 8 gems for the bowl. Once I get two more, does the new adventure kick in or do I have to do something first? Also, are the last two both found there or what? Finally, I have now got high enough in LOO to start at 11. Is that definitely the earliest point at which it is possible to get the temple or can it appear earlier?

Someone found it as early as 7. I'm gonna go track down the post of Shadowblack's that stats the requirements for the SC reborn.

EDIT: found it I have received a response from the GM only a few ago [he had had some problems accessing the quest, as he hadn't done any Fougbough explorations before he got the Bowl and had asked about the requirements.]:
Hi, yes, there are several Fogbough-related requirements to be able to access that
adventure. I'll list all the requirements below:

* You must have shown the Bowl of Blood to the Silver Crest members in the Crest HQ
* You must possess 10 gems for the Bowl of Blood
* You must have discovered the slain goblins in Fogbough
* You must have discovered the trail of the large creature in Fogbough
* You must have found the abandoned campsite in Fogbough
* You must have helped the lost travelers to safety in Fogbough

Once those are completed, you should be able to access the adventure at the Silver Crest
HQ in Trithik.

Please let me know if you have any questions, or if you need any additional info.

Ahhhh it seems that I will need to start exploring the Forrest again as I do not recall if I I discovered all those :o two I am not sure about but that's OK as I still have 7 gems to find and obtain.

Meanwhile I Tarn I found a new enemy and unmarred humongous construct with ooodles of SP's :eek:

Is it a massive Halgirom? There is a massive Halgirom with oodles of SPs, and if you flee, he doesn't regain those SPs. Kind of like the Ice beast in the 3rd Sevenhorn adv.

Yep that's the one :) I was glad to recieve the XP's from defeating it :D

Now I just obtained Gem #4 for my Bowl of Blood and did a lot better in the temple this time:-

My luck certainly improved on this attempt at LoO the protal appeared on level 2 but of course no Red Door ;) then the portal appeared again on level 18 then I managed to clear all the snares (a first for me) for a loss of only 64 SP's :D and passed the Idol/Gem check. Returning to the challenge I fled at the first chance and saved :D so the gem is safe. Only 8 more to go.

My best is 132/191 Stamina after clearing all 18 snares. I was so surprised that I actually made a screenshot.

I've also had the good fortune of clearing 7 snares without losing any Stamina (or was it 8 snares?), but I forgot to make a screenshot (well, I did make one, but after clearing the first 6).

Unfortunately most of the time I wasn't so lucky with my rolls.

Why thank you :D my luck (in game) had to improve at some point!. yesterday was a fairly good game day as I managed to gather some 65,000 XP's or so my Quickstone told me :) and it's all gone of improving stats. Only gating now is below level 65 and it's getting close to getting my first level 80 skill :D.

As for the Archery:( ..................... well that's been terrible with my last attempt being about the worst so far with a score of 1,903 :o

I will not be able to have a go at the LoO again until the mornign as I need to get some sleep and not stay up until 02:00- 03:00 like I had been doing as we have to go and collect something in the morning so i need to get up earlier :(.

Of course as I only have to help look after my parents and do not have a "proper" job as long as I am about should they fall or really need something then it's OK ;)

Meanwhile my "luck" has reverted to normal .............. i.e awful :( not only did I not see a portal but the Blue Orb only appeared once at level 22 and I missed it. Did not see a Black Orb at all :rolleyes:. Oh well shall try again in a few hours I suppose. Knew it was too good to last.
