Archery Tournament Bonus Calculation

This is in a separate thread to make it easier to find.

As per a recent discussion with the GM, here are the details on the way roll bonuses are calculated for the Archery tournament.

Bonus due to Archery Skill:

If your level is greater than or equal to the threshold level for that target, you get the 'full bonus'. If not, your bonus is just .50*Archery.

Bonus due to Stats

Luck bonus = .5 * Luck
For Might, Body and Agility, if the average of these three is above the threshold, then Bonus = Stat, else Bonus = .5 * Stat

sorry , but that seems incorrect . stats straight 20's does give 70 bonus ; but archery lvl 80 (plus silver archer charm) gives 134/114/94

1.75 , 1.5 , 1.25 would be 140 , 120 , 100 without charm by my calculation

REF HAVOC's response below . I have not logged off since raising stats for 4 characters to archery 80 this morning . I will see if that resets any tweak/bonus

At 1.25 1.0 0.75 it would work out to 100/80/60 plus 34 for charm (which may be dependant on stats and level)

That seems odd. The GM had actually told me 1.25, 1.00 and 0.75, but since I was getting 175, 150 and 125 at level 100, I figured that he had changed something since he sent me the numbers.

The luck bonus is multiplied apparently at random by the charm.

You'll get text like this....

You suddenly feel quite lucky...


How lucky you feel determines the multiplier....

Extremely x 10
Very x 8
Quite x 6
Somewhat x 4

Got one to several (4/5) of different varieties at different ranges for my characters latest runs.

What is the exact bonus "system" for archery levels.

It seems there are bonuses past a certain archery level. Is the minimum level the same for each range and are the bonuses and progression the same?

WITH silver archer charm the ARCHERY bonus (not stats or rolls) has been

lvl 80 134/114/94

lvl 84 144/122/101

lvl 88 150/128/106

lvl 92 158/135/112

lvl 96 166/142/118

lvl 100 175/150/125 (reported by havoc)

IF stats give 70 bonus normally just add to the above to get total normal bonus

silver charm CAN increase luck portion from 10 to as much as 120 (extremely lucky)

thus with all shots "extremely lucky" and all rolls 100 level 80 could score a total of 3646

MORAL a VERY lucky competitor can beat more skilled opponents with enough attempts UNLESS the more skilled opponent is also VERY lucky lvl 100 maximum 3870 ?

At same time as extremely lucky bonus seemed to change prize list was extended to 10 places

With archery level 100 and the silver archer charm my total bonus when I was feeling Extremely lucky was 335 at the short distance (25 yards).

Wow. I never got higher than "quite" lucky. But then, only one of my characters got to shoot more than once, and he only shot 3 times.
