Hello,

I am hoping to make it into the crypt via the cave-in in Fogbough. Unfortunately you have to fail your roll. The neccessary roll is 75 or higher and I have a bonus of +82.....so no chance of failing.

Is there anyway to lower Agility, Body or Luck scores?

I doubt if there is any way to lower Thievery or Woodmanship skills as well

You could un-equip your weapons and items.

Also, looks for another way in. When you get the teleporting crypt event, you can choose not to resist being teleported. Also, the events with the Phantom Servant, Green-haired woman, and cave-in all take you to a random tomb. They're not specific to each event. Go find the green-haired woman or the Phantom Servant, and hope they take you to the right tomb. It's another option, instead of lowering your stats.

Are "we" sure the cave in will lead to a crypt? Going from memory the woman that teleports you, the grip of the morass and the phantom are the only ones I recall that lead to a crypt.

There are a few items that lower stats but I'm not sure which at the moment nor whether they are AG, non AG or a mix.

um you don't have to lower your stats to go to the crypts. let the lady in green teleaport you fight the phantom and follow him through the door and sink in the mud. you'll get to all 3 crypts eventually.

Oh, yeah. The cave-in does NOT lead to a crypt. It leads to a battle with 5 Oakuruk. Not fun.

Like Billy says the three encounters that enable you to get to the crypt allow an option to willfully go.

I'm wondering if SiannaDey is speaking of something else since the big draw of the crypts is the empty black pouches which are only truly useful at Tallys?

Either way at a quick glance I found these items that lower stats. Unfortunately they're all AG items.

Accordign to the wiki:
The ground gives way
Need 75+ on random 1-100 roll, bonuses: Agility, Body, 0.25*Woodsmanship (rounded up), 0.25*Thievery (rounded up), 0.5*Luck (rounded up)
* Success: land without injury, fight random number of Oakaruk
* Failure: Fall into a small underground crypt, see A Crypt.
Since it's impossible for me to fail this check (my bonus is too high) I can't verify if you really go to a crypt if you fail.

Likewise. I've fallen and fought the Oakaruk several times...

It might take a while (because she dies so often) but Reha could probally fail. I'll check if she can get on (non AG you see).

If you fail the roll in the cave-in, all that happens is you take some significant damage before you fight the Oakuruk.

Could you copy thr text the next time you fail that check?

Sure, If I have the patience to run Drucilla through Fogbough enough times for it to occur - she's still pretty low level, but her chance of success is still like 95% - combined with the infrequency of the encounter, it could take a LONG time.

Like I said, Reha MIGH be able to do it. Although, since I don't play her very much, it could also take a long time. And she can't get through Atack on Asylre either. But, I rolled a new character (Very lucky, all 19s and 20s and 1 18 on the second roll) and she's further behind, but still, she could eventually do it.
