This is on a door in Iakor's maze. I know the first number to the answer is 3, but what in the hell is this all about? Must be missing something....

Okay, I read some of the past post and it suppose to be something about some demons that I talked to. I remember that "pick a shape" crap, and I suppose that the triangle being three sided makes the first answer 3 (really, this doesn't make sense, but whatever), but where in the hell doe the second number come from? Crappy puzzle...

You get the second number after you kill the demon (in the corners) with the same number of limbs as the number you picked. You can get to that one without getting burned, too.
I agree, it's confusing and kind of arbitrary. And if you miss the second number, you're stuck experimenting and taking a little bit of damage each time. Happened to me.

Thanks, I'll take another shot at it. I was ready to start flipping tables. Probably frowned upon at work.

Well, it is guesssable that the first number is the sides of your shape. You could pick a shape with 3, 4, or 5 sides and your choices are 3, 4, and 5. But yeah, it's confusing.

Guessable, yes. But as with many things in game-land (in general, not just this game) there's no obvious reason WHY these things should be related...

I know. Like, in one Nancy Drew game, you have to use a cloths iron to raise the dumbwaiter.
