Hey all,
Not that important, but in case someone knows off the top of their head i figured id ask. When fighting the Voren-Thul in the stoneback hill adventure, I noticed that if you enter the portal, run past the wraith, and jump through the closing portal, you stand behind the Voren-Thul and supposedly hit him with a surprise attack before going into the regular option of attacking him or the undead monks.
Is he really weaker if you fight him this way or any other changes? Just curious since it isn't mentioned in the wiki.
Thanks!

I don't remember that. But usually if you give a surprise blow like that (or use Archery), Your enemy takes extra damage, reducing their SP before you start to fight.

In some cases it reduces their MR too. But in this case I thinkit is just the Stamina.

I can't think of an example of reduced MR from a surprise attack. But that makes seance.

Ah ok. Either way it sounds like it will make the fight easier. I wonder if that will reduce the xp reward from defeating him? Hmm either way thanks a bunch for the input. I swear the Sryth forum is one of the most helpful and responsive of any game that I've played!

I shouldn't reduce the XP. And we try to be helpful ;).
