Well it's been a while since I've been on, both the forum and the game itself, and it seems as if this depressing trend of absences will only continue. I've recently started my senior year of high school, and on Tuesday I started my first ever job at a local country club as a bag boy. I like to spend whatever free time I get with my family & friends, so Sryth has taken a backseat to these things.
School isn't liable to slow down anytime soon, and my job is seasonal, but won't likely end 'til about the end of November/start of December. My AG subscription runs out on the 20th of next month, and I'm just not sure if it's worth renewing, at least not at the present. I'm still gonna try to float around the forum even if I don't renew my AG-status, and I'll probably pop in the game every now and then until it runs out, but I won't be near as active as I used to be.
So I bid you all a happy Srything experience in the months to come. Hopefully when I can start playing at a semi-regular pace again some loose-ends will have been tied

Aha! So that's why you haven't been turning up with the other panel members for a grilling... I mean, for 7 questions.
Paying attention to real life isn't a bad philosophy, Mattman. Will look forward to seeing you whenever you can visit. :)

Good luck with school and with your new job. Before long, you'll be in college with all its havoc (not our own Havoc; but RL havoc)! All the best!

Real Life comes first, so you've made a good choice. It's been great having you around, and I look forward to seeing you again whenever you can make it. Take care.

Take care
You will be missed around the forum and the game
But
Taking care of real life is most important
Just remember
If you only have a minute to stop by
Please just say hi

Badstench is giving note that he is going walkabout in one year's time.
I'm meeting up with an English girlfriend in LA, then heading to Colombia for the whole Inca experience.
It's something on my "to-do" list that I can cross off.

Scout said this, and I instantly thought of Blackcrowe. For those of you who don't know, he was Ecthelion and Varsil Demonsoul.
He was also the catalyst for some great stories in the old forum.
Judge Fury misses him, and so does Badstench.

Thanks for reminding me Bad...
I just checked my outbox in the old forum and neither Blackcrow nor Shalok-Gul have opened their messages from me.
For those who don't know, Shalok-Gul left us last September. He said.....
i suppose here is as good a place as any to post this, for the forseeable future my time here will be curtailed, this is sad but RL has gotten really busy atm, I will still be around but maybe not as frequently, I wish to make it clear that is post this with great sadness, I hope people understand. I noticed that he logged on last April and again in May, but posted nothing. That's why I ask for a simple "hi".
As for Blackcrow, nobody seems to know.

Blackcrowe was one of the best forum contributors. And I do miss Barn42's funny posts and jokes. His post about Rokmo's genie in a bottle is an all-time classic!

It's maybe a bit late to reply, but still I'd like to bid you farewell.
Good luck with school and work!:)

Yesterday, I turned on my computer and was somewhat disconcerted to find my computer clock was reading 1 hour ahead of all the other clocks in my apartment, which led me to suspect that NZ had just experienced the Daylight Saving shift and leapt forward in time.
This coincided with the nicest day (weather-wise) we've had in ages... and this reminded me that I'd been procrastinating about starting a number of outdoor activities.
This is an explanation of why Badstench is about to be seen (and heard) less in the future, and also by way of an apology... the Birthdates thread and Players in the Spotlight have had to be put on hold for the forseeable future, and additions to "Tales From Behind the Green Door" will become more intermittent.
The time I now have available might still let me game a little.
I'll still pop into the forum, but won't be so vocal.
Cheers all.... see you around.

I don't know what to say D:
I think this picture might help a little though...

I hope those outdoor activities don't become addicting, though. Have fun!:o

Outdoor activities... You mean like taking your laptop to an outdoor cafe? ;)

Just be careful while you're in Colombia - the FARC are down, but not out.

That's the worst piece of news I've heard on Sryth over my game life! The forum won't be the same without you, Badstench!
Enjoy your time outdoors; but don't leave us out in the cold and stay in touch!

Have fun, Stenchy. I was about to throw the gauntlet down again for 8th place in the rankings. I look forward to seeing you when you are able to be here.

Ditto Badstench make sure to pop in as time permits.
I'm guessing Winter's end and Spring's approach Down Under may have something to do with your decision.

As the seasons pass and the old blood gets washed away into the seas of eternity, only those whose time has yet to come shall remember...
We have lost so many of the old blood, the vanguard of our time, and the new blood comes to take our place, even as we slowly pass away, such is the way it has always been...
We can only remember them and pass on what they were, who they were, to the new age...
Thus is the survivors’ torment, to remember the old and to pass into eternity as well...
Goodbye my friend, until fate crosses our paths for one final adventure ... goodbye.
