Limited time going AG bonus item

I logged off of my non AG account and saw a box that said:

Upgrade your account today (9/3/09) and receive a magnificent set of Gauntlets of Ogre Might for each of your characters.

I realize that it won't help most of us, because most of us are AG, and the ones who aren't aren't likely to see this in time, but I thought it might be good for wiki purposes.

Yes, the GM has promotions like that every so often. I wonder how many we've never even noticed?

I'll probably notice them, as I'm not going to upgrade my account. I'll post them in this thread if/when I do notice them. (Oh, and they're gloves although, spikefist's/ dranengems are better.)

It used to be the special going AG bonus items were listed much the same as the bonus signing stuff. I looked however and couldn't find any mention of it. Edit note: Seems even then the limited AG stuff was only visible for non AG accounts.

RE: Limited AG bonus items. I'm particularly thinking of the Hawk Emblazoned Armour (http://sryth.wikia.com/wiki/Hawk-Emblazoned_Armour) which interestingly enough was available when I first found Sryth (Sept '08) and expired just prior to my going AG 10/07/08.

Note: According to the wiki it was available April and May of 08. I started playing in Sept 08 and went AG 10/07/08. I'm not disputing the wiki info but I'm guessing it was brought back as a bonus. And given my main's name I still regret my "handler divination" fizzling as that would have been some sweet gear from a RP perspective.

I recall a thread on the old forum around that time because it mentioned how valuable the items would be - especially for a starting character. I'll try to "necroedit" it in later.

Didn't or haven't found it yet but I found another interesting bonus AG item. Seems it was one day and I'm guessing before Goblindoom became standard.

Real interesting, especially for moi, given it's name.

And it seems from the post I might be wrong in my earlier recollection as far as how the bonus AG stuff is listed as the OP (original poster) mentions seeing it while on his non AG account and Young Ned's reply indicates he didn't see it on his AG account.

If this were Kingdom of Loathing, you could buy those items from another player -- if/when someone who'd signed up at the right time decided to put them up for sale, anyway. (Mentioning in the forum that you were looking for them might bring you an offer from someone who saw your post, at least.) Oh, well...

Oh I've heard it elsewhere and used it as well. It's not so much the phrase as how "efficiently" it describes the old search engine. Considering all the necro'ing I've done on the old forum it might be one of those "you had to be there" things.
