Speak to Zumryn. This part of what he has to say.
"It might interest you to know that right over there is the spot where the bravest and boldest will one day draw arms and challenge one another to friendly duels," he says. "It will be my grandest achievement yet, Thordon. There's much to be done before its gates are thrown open -- including the building of the gates themselves!"
Intrigued by the prospect of being able to engage in battles against your fellow adventurers on Iron Crown Isle, you speak about it at length with Zumryn, though the master of the Battlegrounds seems reluctant to provide more than the most basic details.

As long as it's optional (though I can't imagine it wouldn't be). PvP just isn't my cup of tea.

You would not like the shot to try and take out Magical, Garet Jax or Bounty Hunter?

Not even on a good day! ;)

Me either. Or Judge Fury or Shadowblack.
It would also be fair if you could chose a range of Mr and SP for you to fight. Because if it's randomly matched, then Alanne will end up beating up on the little folks, and getting creamed by the bigger ones. Powers aren't usable in non-leathial combat.

People, people! Wait until it is available before commenting!
For example: It might be so that you can choose who to challenge, and that person has to accept the challenge.

That would take too long. Or maybe it'll be like Neopets arena with 2 options: quick fight (choose a MR/ SP range and a random fight occurs) and choose fight.

Why? Aren't our immediate reactions legitimate posts?

Yes, it might, which is one reason I posted that I'm hoping it's optional.

My mistake. I meant to say "before SPECULATING!" Because right now that's all we can do.
Can powers be used? We don't know.
Can items be used? We don't know (probably not).
Will we be able to choose whether magic is allowed or not? We don't know.
Will it be non-lethal? We don't know (and allow me to remind you that some supposedly lethal fights don't kill us if we lose - Gor-Tiln for example).
Will we be able to choose our opponents? We don't know.
Will we gain anything other than bragging rights if we win? We don't know (hopefully NO).

Although, if I did somehow manage to beat Magical, I would have a hard time restraining myself from rubbing it in Havoc's face. Same thing with Judge Fury/ Badstench.

I would be careful with that. You recall what Havoc did to you just the other day.

Yes, it would be easier to not rub it in Havoc's face. A LOT easier.

I second that to the letter!
With an MR of of 237 (right now) that will break 240 sometime in the future and 241 SP there are few who can challenge me successfully. But I won't let that get into my head. And I will remain true to my "anti-PvP" motto.

I go back and forth on PVP. In this case, if it is "friendly" and no one loses anything, other than maybe a little pride or hubris, then I would probably be ok with it. But, I would definitely want it set up so that ALL players have the option if they want to participate or to choose not to do so if that is their desire.

Well speculation aside the Festival of Blades springs to mind.
Before my time but here is the wiki page (http://sryth.wikia.com/wiki/Festival_of_Blades) on it which has a handy link to a thread on the old forum.
Maybe you "ole-timers" that are still holding onto that Blightroot may have a use for it yet.
Not having been around for the FoB I think it would be interesting to have a similar event. Definitely think it should be very limited - like an annual event or something.
My real hope is that Rokmokkora will show up and maybe we'll get some more insight into the strange behavior and prowess he exhibited at our spatial, hopefully soon to be :), palatial estates. Oh and maybe that we'll get the chance to show him the flat of our blades again. ;)

Ravenbone is my guess. Check the Carnage Band's description for reference!
