Adventure! Seriously, explore the game. I've found that taking regular breaks and concentrating on absorbing the game slowly is the best way to play.

i really just wanna know how to store twenties and what the stone does now that its glowing blue.... :P i can figure the rest out im sure...

zmflavius
09-10-2009, 02:45 AM
What the stone does when it's glowing blue is a loose end.

To store 20s, you must complete the shattered skull quest line. All of it.

I have no idea...that was from a while ago, ask havoc or someone.

I've never heard of the snow items, actually.

Havoc or another of the 3yr+ players might be able to tell you.

Considering that those items were raffle items and only a few players even have them... and that not all of those players play the game any more... and that even less of them visit the forum... Bobertorby might be the only forum member with such an item...

Finger of Dread charges?
The FoD (Finger of Dread, sometimes abbreviated as The Finger) is a combat USEable item that can be leveled up with General XP. It is found while fighting the demon Xarakk (have you completed The Blood Code @ Goblinclaw?). You will randomly find one of three weapons after a battle, once you have them, go to the room in the SE, retreat, save, then go back to find the three bands that are found in the same way as the weapons. You can use the finger 3 times (5 min. cool down time, be warned that you will take damage) before the bands disintegrate and you have to go back to Xarakk.

Dragon something blasts?, Wand thingumies?
The Wod (Wand of Dragonfire) is also a combat USEable item. Fight Ildaria (Copper Wood in Southern Tysa) untill you have 10 Iron Shards. Go to the AC and speak with the Guild Master about them and he'll tell you where to go from there. The Vault of the Iron Dragon has a cool down time of a few hours.

Medallion of Phaseform? wait... i may have that one.....
Don't sell it, it has a hidden power.

Stored Twenties and blue glowing Quickstones when you put it in the pot?
To store 20s, complete Shattered Skull (Parts I-V AND the aftermath) then go to Axepath or somewhere where there are a lot of easy fights. It will, at random, store 20s that you roll if you don't already have 3. The Blue QS is a loose end.

As for the Raffle item, IDK? Can you post it's description?

The "put the Quickstone into the pot" part is only available if you own a residence. The cauldron is one of the many strange things you get in your basement. After a good dunking, your Quickstone will permanently raise the quality of loot drops from that moment on.

thingirl
09-10-2009, 08:29 PM
I thought that was always available, it was just implemented a the same time as the pot. And examine the mirror.

shadowblack
09-10-2009, 08:54 PM
The pot is not related in any way to the item drops - you get improved item drops as soon as you buy a Quickstone. As thingirl said, this 'power' was added at around the same time as the pot.

Mr.Black rembers the ice items from the King of Ice Giants raffle during the RoI. He rembers Subzero ( Who sadly isn't among us anymore) winning the Huntsman's Spear and Elrond winning the Ring of Bone.

well i got the snowstaff from that particular raffle and i was also awarded 45k (and some change)exp to general from one other prize i got it was some kind of jewel and i asked around to see if everyone got something small or if the jewel was just a lucky draw as well but nobody on the old forum knew anything..... also im not entirely sure where it came from but i got another sword (perhaps from a raffle) called Tzal-Kagoth (has to wonder if its related to Tzal-Toalth but guesses that its probably not) which served me very well until recently. Tzal-Kagoth has the Hand of Destruction ability which when it activates it (usually once to three times per battle depending on the length) releases a ripple, wave, shockwave, cataclysmic wave etc. of nevernal energy at the foe. The most powerful attack ive ever seen it do was a Insanely Cataclysmic wave of nevernal energy strikes your foe and it delt 215 damage plus attack damage. buuuut ive only ever seen it do that one time which was on a twenty roll and i suppose it must have been a glitch, or perhaps the GM deemed that too powerful of an effect and removed it i dunno. the cataclysmic wave generally does 76 -85 damage upon activation though. the stats and descriptions of these two weapons are as follows:

Snowstaff
Your Phantom Weapon is cloaking this item. Phantom bonuses are listed in purple below.

* Class: Weapon, Bashing
* Encumbrance: 4
* Quality: Magical
* Power: Winter's Wrath
* Melee Rating: +29/+3
* Body: +2/+3
* Spirit: +2/+3

A perpetual, miniaturized blizzard swirls about the tip of this magnificent oaken staff. At the head of the staff, clutched by four stone talons, is a large crystal of ice that never melts, regardless of the surrounding temperature.

This weapon is said to grow in power the longer it remains with its owner. For every 30 "real world days" you possess this weapon, its power will increase until it reaches its maximum potential.

This weapon is of magical quality.

Tzal-Kagoth (Use)

* Class: Weapon, Slashing
* Encumbrance: 4
* Quality: Magical
* Power: Hand of Destruction
* Melee Rating: +18
* Aura: +1
* Mind: +1
* Spirit: +1
* Requires 10 Aura.
* Requires 10 Mind.
* Requires 10 Spirit.

This wicked, black steel weapon once straddled the hip of the three-headed demon lord, Jhaloth. How it is now the property of the puny mortal known as Bobertorby is a matter beyond all comprehension. This weapon is of magical quality.

I think you got Tzal-Kagnoth that from A Haunting in Durnsig.

really? well then it was something everyone could get?

thingirl
09-11-2009, 02:03 AM
Not exactly. The reward is random, changes avery 90 mins, and with SSL/ Iakors, the best choice is either nimble boots, dragonwing brestplate, warlorsd helm, or Valtin's trick ring.

Bobertorby
09-11-2009, 02:09 AM
wait a minute i couldnt have gotten it from the haunting because i took the trick ring from that...... so where else could it have come from?

The items that are currently available from "A Haunting in Durnsig" were originally available from the "Hunt for the Phantom Assassin (http://sryth.wikia.com/wiki/The_Hunt_for_the_Phantom_Assassin)" special event. You probably got one of the items from the Phantom Assassin event and the other from "A Haunting in Durnsig" when it came out later.

Bobertorby
09-11-2009, 02:55 AM
nope thats not possible either as i do remember getting it well before the phantom assasin event even was an option. i have been playing on and off since beta testing though (heck i remember when the secret of stoneback hill first became available and when ag was first implemented so i do believe that there are a myriad of possibilites^^

ps. click my eggs plz they gonna die!

You've got 3 days, 10 hours. You're fine. But for future purposes, put something in your siggie that says "click my eggs". And don't hit enter when you're inserting code, if you don't your eggs will be displayed side by side and take up less space.

whats with the mossy idol in the old north wood? loose end? and can anything worthwhile be obtained in the jadefang lair?

thingirl
09-11-2009, 09:15 PM
The Idol is related to 7 goblins. visit it after you complete each quest (or after you complete all 7), fight the goblin and you'll get a permanent +2MR and +2SP.

12 of Adlmir's silver stones (they come in 4 colors, but hold out for the silver) can be found in Jadefang, + I think 8ATs. You find 6 stones and 4ATs the first time you complete Jadefang after finding Admir, then after you have all but 6 of the rest of the stones, go back and you'll get 6 more silvers, and there will be a "Jadefang token fix" of 4ATs waiting for you in the Windowless building.

Bobertorby

ok then, whats a silver stone worth anyways?

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's 3 at the beginning and 3 at the end, not 6.

Jadefang Lair: 3 Silver Sotnes + another 3 Silver Stones, ffor a TOTAL of 6 Silver Stones

Library of Longlight: Use the Hidebound Book (or whatever it was called) you get from Merchant of Bones.

thingirl

I knew that six was involved. Oh well, my memory is starting to fail. (That's not good. I'm not even 14 yet.)

Bones: Kill the skeleton and he'll leave his skull AND a Hidebound Book. Take that book to the library.

Recently the GM upgraded many items, including several Tally's items, where both stats and prices changed. It's probably an upgrade to make the raffle prize useful in the new and much more dangerous world Sryth has become.

There is a Dragon Cave (http://www.srythforum.com/group.php?groupid=11) social group. In one of the threads (second to the bottom) there is a link to a site where you can post your eggs. That site also has an ER (http://www.sotidragon.net/er.php), where you can post eggs that have less than 3 days left.

You have to beat all seven.

thingirl

EDIT: Yes, I did, but it was non spoiler spoiler mode. The Idol is related to 7 goblins. visit it after you complete each quest (or after you complete all 7), fight the goblin and you'll get a permanent +2MR and +2SP.

Guess I should have said bonus after completing all 7.
