I'm trying to get Heir to the Flame to show up, but it won't. I also keep on seeing the old mans ghost when I explore Fogbough. What other references to Baleward are there? I've only found about 2 or 3, and I've been exploring for a few days now.

You shouldn't find the old man repeatdly. Let's go look at the heir to the flame thread for the rest of the info. There are all of the encounters that I can think of in Fogbough that have a referance to Baleward:
the ghost- "Find my Heir"
An old man- "Beware of Baleward"
The verse after you get a goblin totem from the windowless tower
The fog-shrouded castle.
Mysterious Circle of Stones
And you have to do everything in Ashlyre, keep exploring. I can think of 3 special encounters.

Okay, seems all I'm missing is the Windowless Tower. But I'm still getting the ghost encounter, so I don't know whats up with that.

Find the tower, then if the encounter still shows up and you can't find the adv, email the GM.

Thanks.
Now I'm confused again. I have the totem in my possession, but don't have the windowless tower as a revisitable spot.
Have all the other ones.

I think you are confusing things:
The Goblin Totem Block is from the lair where the moth brings you
The Goblin Totems are from the Windowless Tower
I believe you have only the Totem Block but have not found the Windowless Tower (which IS a returnable location). Keep exploring and you'll eventually find the Tower too.
Thank you. I guess I really need the GM to put in an item that improves patience...
EDIT: Found the tower. I'm happy now.

That's what posting over here is for. It lets you go "GAAHH!!! I know I'm stupid, but I'm missing something that's in plain sight (like to get the eye shards from the table in Lower Tarn)! Please help me!"
