Oh well if it goes live 10/11 I guess I'll have to wait until 10/12 to do it as I'll be watching football all day tomorrow. I'm a big New England Patriots fan.

I am also a very big Patriots fan.

It was a great game, well-played by both teams I thought.

I remember from the old forum a few soccer fans, especially the lads from the UK. Any soccer fans here now?

Rugby-head.... "Ozzie, Ozzie, Ozzie... Oi, Oi, Oi"

The above chant is what can generally be heard at any rugby stadium in Australia

We New Zealanders are much more demure... we just get a bunch of Maori savages to do a war dance complete with face-pulling and rude gestures.

Oh... the game's good to watch, too!

I'm a fan of the haka. Great stuff.

Didn't know the Aussies had pinched our good old Welsh rugby chant... :D

The best answer to the haka is defiance... the scots did it so well!

But the best answer came from the welsh in this encounter:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMpeSEgsO6M&feature=related

The haka is simply a challenge... it looks mean, but the premise is to throw down the gauntlet to the opposing team.

If they stand their ground, the challenge is deemed as being accepted.

The worst thing an opposing team can do is turn their backs to the haka. By doing so, they admit cowadice and deserve to have their hearts ignored at feasting time.

They showed their fear. They are not worthy.

The welsh... and the Irish... delivered as good as they got. They earned our respect by doing so.

In some respects, all nationalities have a haka.

The New Zealand national rugby team has been accused of being intimidating, but you ain't seen nothing until the Maori All Balcks go full force!

I'm certain that some communities of Christians do refer to themselves as saints... including, presumably, that to which you and your parents belong... but, in general, the large majority of Christians don't.

Note that I use the term "Christian" to encompass anyone who believes in the teachings of Jesus Christ, including fundamentalists, all Protestant sects (Baptists/Methodists/Lutherans/etc.), Mormons, Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodoxians (Orthodoxites? Orthodoxists? Orthodontists?), and maybe even Jews for Jesus. I believe some Christian groups use the term in a much narrower sense, which may have been what you meant.

I did find your remark amusing, too.:)

I'd never heard of tobyMac, but All Music Guide (http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:d9foxqq0ldhe~T1) calls him a contemporary Christian singer, so I'm not sure you can call him all that mainstream...

If your a Colts fan like Spencer don't have sour grapes because we beat you most of the time in the playoffs. the only reason you don't like our coach is because he's one of the best in the league lol. How about them Ravens? Any fans here? So far so good (or at least not bad) ... the game is tied at 7 a piece with a couple of minutes left in the 1st Q.

Edit: Ravens up 14-7 on a defensive TD with 53 secs left in the 1st! Big Ben never lost to the Ravens at home; and you know that there is a first time for everything. Hopefully, this will be his first loss!

Edit 2: Baltimore up 21-7 with 5 minutes left in the 1st half. Going good. Hopefully, they'll close it out with a big W against Pittsburg!

Good year for rivalries in the playoffs with more possibly down the road.

Steelers 34 - Ravens 24 - AFC North rivals

Packers 48 - Falcons 21

Might be a NFC Championship game between NFC North rivals Green Bay and Chicago as Chicago plays Seattle tomorrow.

And AFC East rivals New England and New York Jets play tomorrow as well.

The Ravens defense was anything but lousy in that game. The Offense turned the ball over to the Steelers in the second half and put the D in some bad positions (much like the Steelers Offense did in the first half). The D should never have given up that long completion on 3rd and 19 but as a Steelers fan I am grateful that they did!!!!

I think you meant to say what Ben was accused of doing, BDK. I don't know whether or not he is guilty of anything other than stupidity for placing his $100 million a$$ in harms way. I am also shocked that as a fan of an AFC team you seem to be rooting for the NFC in the Super Bowl. With the quality of the four remaining teams this years Championship games and the Super Bowl are going to be great.

On a side note I have been looking for tickets to the AFC championship game since the end of the Pats-Jets game and apparently the economic recession hasn't influenced ticket sales. Nose bleed seats at Heinz field are selling for around $300 a pop. I attended the 2008 Baltimore/Pittsburgh AFC Championship game and paid around $550 for two tickets in the lower levels (Section 102 to be exact.) Having said that I am back to my ticket search!

A letter to the Pitsburgh Steelers.

Dear Pistburgh Steelers,
Thank you thank you thank you for beating the Jets arse. Now I don't have to hear Sexy Rexy saying how he'll be going to the SB and winning it this year. To bad Sexy Rexy your now 0 and 0 just like us. Welcome to vacation land Sexy Rexy. All I can say is your lucky Pittsburgh went easy on you in the second half or you would have gotten beat by a heck of a lot more. Oh how I hate the prevent defense. It only prevents you from winning luckly Pitt held on.

While writting this letter a note to my friend Racey. I'm an AFC fan. However there are certain teams you just don't root for If your a Red Sox fan in baseball you never root for the Yankees. Hense being a Boston fan you never root for the Jets or Colts thats like rooting for the Yankees to win if they beat the Red Sox in baseball. So if I were to root for the Colts Jets or even Broncos that's like rooting for the yankees to win the whole thing. You need to understand Racey Boston teams hate Ny teams and Ny teams hate Boston teams we never root for each other unless somehow it improves our playoff situation. I thank The Steelers because now I don't have to hear Sexy Rexy's diarea of the mouth for the next 2 weeks on how he is going to win the SB. Afterall Sexy Rexy told us all season long that the Jets were the Sb champs and basically said why play the season. As for the game GB vs Pitt. I have no hatered for Pitt I mean NE kicks their arse most of the time. Also when I started watching football I kind of like the Steelers because when I first started watching football as a little kid the Steelers and Terry Bradshaw Franco Harris, and Mean Joe Green were always playing Dallas in the Sb. I liked those guys and never liked Dallas.

So you ask why I would root for Gb in the SB and not Pitt. Tottaly Patriot related. I don't want to see Ben get as many SB rings as Brady. I guess I don't really care who wins the Bowl but for that one reason of Ben getting his third ring I'd rather not see. So Racey I hope now you understand why I can not will not and never will root for the Jets Colts or Broncos in the AFC. In the NFC you'll never see me rooting for the Giants. Like I said I'm a Red Sox fan and you'll never see me rooting for the Yankees. Same goes for the Jets Colts and Broncos in the AFC. Oh one note Racey I think we all know Ben would have been convicted of his problem had he not reached a financial agreement with the victum. Money does amazing things. The NFL doesn't suspend you just because. The Steelers don't pratically try and give you away either for doing nothing.

So again Mike Tomlin Ben and Hines Ward thanks for beating the Jets arse. Also to the New York Jets Congrats on winning the SB like you said you would. I can see those big shinny rings with the green stone now. The parade is Tuesday in NY. Oh wait you didn't win the SB this year. Dang I guess you won nothing then just like NE. Oh well your 0 and 0 to. Have a nice cry Sexy Rexy. Go away LT you punk. Go away Bart Scott, Warren Cromartti and Sexy Rexy and take your big mouths with you. I follow many players and teams but will always have one team that I will favor more than the others. Growing up I was a huge 49ers fan and mostly due to being able to meet many of the players when they came for the Pro bowls here in Hawaii. I still remember meeting Jerry Rice and his family on the beach here. You can't expect to meet a nicer guy.

As everyone else I have those teams which I can't stand to see win. Dallas, New England (Sorry Billy), Sand Diego, and Chicago (No idea why., just do.). If there is a player on these teams, I will want them to do well, but will be mixed about if I want the team to win or not.

Sorry for those Steeler fans, but I am for Green Bay all the way partly since I will be moving to Wisconsin in little over a week.

What's Peyton's playoff record oh dear I think it's 9 and 10. Not a very good playoff record.Plus he'd have to go through NE and Ne is only getting better. Our team has revamped it's defense in a year our team has 2 first round draft picks 2 2nd round draft picks and 2 3rd round draft picks in this years draft. 3 picks in this years top 32 so our team will only continue to improve.

I knew where you were headed from your first post Billy and I understand your reasoning. Myself, I look at it a different way. I am a Steelers fan and they play in the AFC; if they are not in the Super Bowl that means that a team that probably beat them in the playoffs is in the Bowl and since I don't want my squad to have been eliminated by the Bowl loser I root for the AFC representative no matter who it is. I will admit that some teams are harder to root for than others and I probably would have rooted for the Packers against the Jets if by some miracle that inferior Jets team would have beat the Steelers.

We can at least agree to pull for Packers in this one. I grew up a Raiders fan, so I cannot ever pull for the Steelers, under any circumstances. I just want to know what you're going to do when Peyton Manning wins his fourth SB ring and poor ole Tommy still just has 3? :D

Spencer, I realy don't know what to say about this other than I must be strange (well I am pretty sure that I am but....). Anyway, I was a little young yet to have watched those 70's Steelers-Raiders games live however; I have watched them all many, many times over starting during my early teens and because of the intense physical action in those games and through the 80's (similar to the Steelers/Ravens now) I am first and foremost a Steelers fan but as for my second favorite team. Yep, those same Raiders!

The only games to watch back then were Pittsburgh v. Dallas.
