Mezaryl

Hey All,
Ever since completing Mezaryl's Cellar I've had a quest in my Ongoing Adventures Log which states simply "Mezaryl" with no explanation or associated text.
I assume this is just a small bug since I haven't started any other quests that are related to her, but I thought I'd check and see if this has happened to anyone else before I file a report.

Heheh I hate that kind of thing. I've had it happen in other games, and being a total completionist, it drives me nuts :P

These are game items that the GM hasn't finished with.

They are loose ends.

With respect to Mezaryl, she has importance to a game item. As such, she is an ongoing "adventure".

If you ever choose to purchase her goods, the adventure display will change.

Why spend all those ATs for a ring that only gives +4 MR over free rings? I just don't think her ring is worth it.

On the other hand, if you have lots of ATs and really want to clear an item off your log, more power to you.

but when Zyralor's band first came out it was the best ring in the game at the time.

You're right that spending AT's on it now would be silly.... the ring is non-refundable, and there are better options available for the same amount at Tallys's.

Before my time but I recall from old forum posts that at one time, at least, there was speculation buying that first ring may be required if the others became available.

The GM stated previously that the Adventure Log needs to be "updated!" But since then, he's thrown a few dozen updates, adventures, raffles, etc our way! I take any single installment of new game content over the "fixed" adventure log anyday ;) .

Ditto despite the fact that I'm running four characters and don't maintain notes for long.

What I would like to see implemented is the Adventurer notes feature.

Totally agree. I keep a word file with some notes on things I don't want to forget, but it would be nice to have it in game.

On the topic of Mezaryl, I went to her before I had Tzal-Toalth, and let her look at my items. I had one of the items that i could later trade for the gem for Tzal-Toalth, (I think it was Wraithking's Sceptre) and she offered to buy it from me for gold and ATs (I think 16 ATs) I didn't do it, because there was an option to use Diplomacy 70+ to ask for more money, and mine wasn't that high at the time. I went back when it was, but I had Tzal-Toalth, and the option to sell was no longer available, just trade for the gem. Has anyone else seen this?

No! Wow, that would have been awesome to know sooner.

I'm building up another character, and planning on trying to see what I can get, maybe this is another way to get some extra ATs, which is awesome for those of us who are too poor to donate :)

Has Jimyred's post above (and below) been confirmed by anyone else? Not doubting it/him but I'm very surprised this was the first mention (note the time of it 10/28/09). All my characters have Tzal-Toalth so testing is out for me.

Also it seems that buying Zyralor's ring will not clear Merzaryl off "Ongoing" in the Adventurer Log as I just bought it (testing only did not save) with Esoteric.

Though you realize her words are in jest, you can't help but feel that there is some truth in them. With the unpleasant image of your hand being forcibly separated from your arm playing over and over again in your mind, you silently vow to keep the ring a secret.

With that, you bid Mezaryl a farewell and set off with your newfound prize.

Thanks for the info Oldschool. I may still buy the ring just for the heck of it when I have a spare $100.00 kicking around and feel like buying something. Oh wait, I have more than a few spare $100.00 kicking around, just waiting for something like the Tome of Attainment, hint hint GM ...
