I know that this is a rather hazy idea, but how about a replayable consiting exclusively of various kinds of bugs, which you can go grind on whenever you're frustrated about an adventure being delayed because of bugs.
And who knows, maybe all that bug-killing might actually help...

This sounds like an excellent idea! Slithering Bugs, Bugmen, Big-Big Bugs, Venomous Bugs . . . the possibilities are almost endless.

Don't we already have Jadefang :) But yeah, I like that. *chant* Kill the bugs! Kill the bugs! Kill the bugs! */chant*

Most explorable areas are already filled with giant insects aren't they? And Jadefang, as Thingirl mentioned, is completely bugs.

Good idea Havoc, then Magical would even have a reason to grind. ;)

Jadefang only has one kind of bug: jadefang ants. Okay, there are three or four different sizes of them, plus the queen, but stilll... it'd be interesting to have someplace where you could get all insecticidal on a wider variety of insect.
However, nearly all bugs in the game are so low-level that it would have to be a scaled area (like Jadefang) to really be replayable. And frankly, all the existing types of bugs are pretty much alike apart from their names, so I never really notice or care what kind of bug I'm currently fighting. So just having a place with different types of bugs wouldn't be enough to satisfy the desire for a wider variety, unless the GM created some new types with different powers or special attacks or something.

I guess my first 'image' of a new "bug area" was an out-doors setting ~ I thing of the Jadefang as a Dungeon area, and Moria likes having an open sky overhead. :) "kill the bugs . . .Kill . . ."

You could have all kinds of fun on that theme, like saying that only hammer type weapons are effective, give a reward of a weapon (call it the Splatterer?) that has a special bonus used against bugs (similar to Creyn Blade for Axepath), have the bugs so they are fairly weak but come at you in swarms (Suddenly: 150 cockroaches surround you, their mandibles clicking ferociously), make it so there is a neverending supply of bugs and your final xp reward is based on how many you kill (not sure if that is practical or not, just throwing out ideas) . . . Yeah, very cool idea. Definitely would be a fun stress reliever.
Did you ever play that flash game that you could have bugs crawling all over your desktop and then hammer them, chainsaw them, shoot them, burn them, etc? I don't know if I can post links for downloading stuff, but google desktop games 1.0, and it will give you a GUI bug smashing fun time

Auntie is really scared even at the thought of that game. She's so afarid, she doesn't want to even imagine that. Hey, maybe that's why I don't usually to Jadefang.

There also is the "ant hive" in random explorations.

And the main boss in this scenario would be the "Glitch Wanderer." It is the sentient manifestation of the various delay bugs and glitches that haunt and wander the world of Sryth. It can only be harmed by magical weapons, and it had a special that could stun you for a turn.

Yes, however in the same vein as the SS series of weapons (SSL, SSM, SSA, etc....) a new scaled weapon becomes available the DDT.
Not only does it has a specific bonus against vermin but it also has the elemental power of lightning harnessed to return the stun effect.
While it looks innocuous it is quite the weapon against this sort of enemy - look. (http://www.roofrake.com/images/electricflyswatter22.jpg)

I actually have used one of those, a friend of mine had one. It gives a very satisfying "ZAP" if you hit one. Very fun :)

*laughs* I actually have one of those, believe it or not. It is quite effective on most flies, but some of the more "high-HP/SP" flies take more than one hit to go down.

One might not expect it, but it also works great against Jadefang Ants.

no mor bugs....please.....Unless if you did the replayable....then no more bugs would show up on any of the random lists....because we killed 'em all!!
seriously....we should all have master or archmaster levels in bug exterminations!!!
