Have you rolled any 18-20 numbers while your to-hit number was 11+? IIRC, the amount of damage done by a "devastating attack" tends to depend on your to-hit number and possibly your attack mode (aggressive, defensive, normal, etc), and 3+ obviously gives the most damage to boss "devastating attacks" than other to-hit numbers do.

First have you gotten all three iron weapons and had them made into the Finger?

Then you have to successfully complete a full engagement cycle - if you hit the flee button and don't finish out the "round" you don't qualify for a band drop.

If you've got the Finger and finish a cycle ("round") then you qualify for a band drop. The drops are completely random. They used to be very infrequent but awhile back they were tweaked and it's often possible to get all 3 bands in one battle. Some folks have gotten all three weapons had it transformed and gotten all 3 bands in one battle. Could be just bad random luck.

I almost forgot to mention this. Also you can only get more bands once you use all three on the Finger. If you use one or two you can't get replacements until you use the third and last band.

WTF? When did Xarakk started to last so many rounds? I'm running one of the secondaries without Demonscourge, and she has just 121 SP. Even using Restoration each round, I cannot possibly survive more than 30 rounds against a 18+ foe!

How many rounds are your encounters lasting? Long, long time ago they were just 16-20 rounds

Typically 26-32. I've gone 36 vs the pumpkin, but I think Xarakk is just in the 26-32 range.

It's been awhile since I've done any mp's but the rounds seemed to have got tweaked about the same time the foe SP and timers did. Although the rounds seem to fluctuate between the recent longer span and the original span somewhat.

Also I don't know if it's solely because of the extended rounds but the foes seem to be walloping a bigger punch since the tweaks also. Could be just because of the extended rounds but I'm wondering if the specials got "turned up" as well.

Definitely makes for some interesting and sometimes frustrating mp battles.

I have just got round to (finally) registering for the forum.

One question, how do you get consistently high scores in MP battles? I managed to make over 1000 once with the Pumpkin, but that was using 3 QS stored '20s', the wand of dragonfire and I seemed to be getting lucky hits doing about 3 times the norm..
