There was an option to use any of 4 powers at 50+ level. I only remember one was Fortification because that is the one I used. I would say Telekinesis, SM, and maybe Gating were the other 3. You get no xp if you were successful. I do not know what happens if you fail, but it says something about you surely saved yourself from a gruesome fate or something along those lines.

When I joined the battle, it was only me and Bounty Hunter.

At first I thought "Oh no, I spoiled a solo run." But it was to late, I already fought a round.

By 4-5% Bounty Hunter left, so I easily got the KB. (It took 4 rounds to end the battle from that point.)

When I saw the results and that I didn't spoil a solo, I felt better. The only reason I went was to get the final 2 bands for the finger, which I got.

As far as I know yes. Actually I'm pretty sure once you have the Finger completed you can get bands regardless of it's level. The only stipulation being that you finish the combat round/cycle without fleeing (I think).

It seems the drops MAY not be as common as they once were but also don't seem as rare as they did when the MP first went live. Earlier today I ran a whole mp and got zero bands but it was short - 7 minutes iirc.

Just happened to log in when the last one was going and got lucky and got all 3 bands with time to spare. Was tempted to use the BOG but after my earlier run I decided against it. Actually I went defensive mostly just to hopefully drag out the mp if I needed to for the bands. After I got mine I left as I'm pretty sure some folks were there for that reason as well. Probably won't use the BOG in Tarramyre when it's fairly populated or when events like the TWP Circle are new just for that reason. I'd hate to be the one that used the BOG and ended the mp prematurely if other folks are in there going for bands. That's not a judgment on others just my personal opinion.

I try hard these days NOT to steal killing blows, and when I finished my ONE round of combat against Xarakk, it showed him with 8% health left. How did that kill him?

Apologies to the other two. I always try to leave MP enemies with at least 5% health left. Apparently that's not enough.

It sounds like the GM has significantly lowered the total opponent SP for the MPs, which would affect when it's 'safe' to get a round in at the end. Having said that, in the past I think there have been glitches which mean the KB comes early.

It's also difficult to tell how many people are fighting with you. I once 'accidentally' got the KB at around 8%, simply because I didn't realise there were so many big hitters in the battle, though I appreciate that's not the case here.

The third possible factor is that some people tend to use their BOGs right at the end of the battle to try and get the KB that way. If enough people do that at once, it can knock the SP down a long way almost instantly.

Personally I like the change since hanging around MPs for an hour was not very appealing.

That was a strange one indeed. I started to just do some BOG hit and runs then remembered Hawk only had one band. So I came in with him 3rd out of my roster and used it immediately. I was starting to wonder about the drop rate as it took most of the MP to get his three bands until I looked at the total time of 24 minutes. Subtracting the time for the alts probably puts his time in at about 18 minutes - not bad at all.

Once he got the third band I left and saved and decided to run Virago in and try to "steal" the KB as Xarakk was very low at that point. Her BOG out of the gate hit for 7350 which took him to a sliver at one percent. Got good results from Battle Rage for the rest of the fight.

I had been trying to do a 'sweep' of the MPs - being the one who got the KB in each of five successive, different MPs.

You're welcome - fast is sort of a bad thing when you're hunting drops though. I've also noticed lately that the drop rate seems less "friendly" as it once was. However, it still seems "better" than in the early days of the mp.

I managed to get all my bands. :) The drop rate for me hasn't changed much. I usually recharge my Finger within two battles. I'm just glad fights don't last much more than an hour now, so solo fights are feasible. No more of the two percent decrease per cycle, which was so frustrating.

I started this one out when he was relatively unscathed by BOG'ing with Hawk and only Hawk then leaving when r/l called. I came back about an hour or so later and Krug was wailing away with Xarakk down a considerable amount. I decided to take the alts in for a BOG hit and run and leave the KB when I noticed Krug (kasey) had left. I ran the alts through CHR and a Snowman each as well as Hawk through a Snowman. Still no sign of Krug, so I went back with Hawk and gave a second BOG and finished the battle out alone scoring the KB by default.

I think the timers must start when the mp kicks off as I'm pretty sure I scored first damage with Hawk and a little over an hour later I started running the alts. The timer start sequence has probably been established - I just can't recall the particulars atm.

Point is I doubt very seriously if I put the time in or the combat cycles that Krug (kasey) did with all four much less Hawk alone despite the fact that I scored TD with Hawk and about 2/3 of the damage with all four characters.
