Though, in the case of Raine's characters this might a small string of outstanding debt, inconsequential all in all - returning old 'favours' - so maybe that alignment change is wrong.

Maybe it should be 'Avenging' then, or the more pejorative but less accurate 'Vengeful' ...

... but that wouldn't fit the overall disposition and alignment of the character, as he's too broody and wounded to be vengeful, vengefulness is not in his nature and he has no true inclination towards it.

No, these days he just roams Tysa killing 'monsters' absent-mindedly, resenting the fact that he must do so if only to survive, not passionate about advancing at all cost, but still doing it all the same, with a lost sense of purpose, aimlessly, going from one killing to the next as a bloody drudgery for one lacking in bloody-mindedness or sadistic urges, not deriving any joy from killing or inflicting suffering.

Definitely a reluctant 'hero,' one that shudders at the thought of celebratory displays of hero-worshipping by way of streets and alleys lined with cheering people and ear-splitting fanfares.

The world is too great, and too filled with pain and cruelty and treachery, betrayal, uncaring and impersonal, too forgetful, for that sort of raucous indulgence, in his view.

Too changing, too inconstant, while also remaining the same, change being the only constant in life, for those same cheers not to turn into jeers, and peals of laughter into tears of sorrow and pain.

With only the two of us, as far as I know (I didn't check after the fight whether anyone else was there), that's the highest and quickest drop all the way down to KB that I know of. (And in the Oldeneye Ulgror MP I thought 5% should be a safe margin for a non-KB BOG... And before my time, or just about, BOG was doing what? Double the current damage range, ~8,000+ with something like 10,000 - 12,000 as the standing BOG round damage?...
Wonder what I could've done in those days - or, rather, in these days, with those amounts of max damage.
Possibly some... quicker solos?! ... <10 minute 'duets?' XD ;-))

I was surprised when it registered the end of the fight. I think that the pumpkin has between 400-450 SP per percentage point. So 9% would be somewhere between 3600 and 4050, give or take. If you were there at the same time and did a good bit of damage, would that not take care of it?

Hmm, you're right, the boss had 40,000 SP, discounting the killing blow overage [edit] (total damage recorded is 40,726), so at 9% - with your BOG having caused over 3,200 SP damage - I would only have needed to score a hit of a few hundred SP to turn him into pie... (Well, yours was the final blow, so the over-hit gets subtracted from the damage you inflicted, and that means I needed to have hit him for maybe ~1,200+ SP that round, of which I usually have many.)

So that adds up well - but then it makes my wonder about bosses of 45,000 SP (or less, like this one was, at 40,000, or even less, at 35,000) that aren't taken down by even a 3,000 - 4,000 SP hit at only 4% to 5% (1,400 - 1,750 SP) health remaining!... Well! How does that add up?! XD Hmm.
Now I'm going to try and check those numbers as they come round... No big deal, the game calculation rounds and approximates a lot, that's no news, but makes just a bit curious all the same. For now I assume a 50% chance that I got something wrong in there, even though it all seems right... :-) What I haven't yet done, was to record the actual numbers precisely at the end of an MP event (% & SP damage caused). And that can be tricky 'in the heat of the battle,' when you're trying to get the KB. :-)

My impression was that they all varied between 35,000 (maybe 30,000?) and 45,000, and could swear I've seen Xarakk and Ulgror at 35,000 SP, but I may very easily be wrong...

Since I assumed all their SP numbers conformed to the same limits (and since I go at it like it was a visual study of 'digital blur' - get it? Fingers fluttering -> 'digital blur' XD Sure, go right ahead and *groan* XD), I wasn't looking for proof of more individualised limits... Now I will... -.-

On the other hand, in this latest fight with Ildy, I collected no [% of health remaining] / [SP damage] data... I didn't want to use the BOG, and couldn't bring myself to slow down... :-] That really is going to be tricky for me. :-)

That timer was either tripped, or is a mystery. I initiated a fight with the werepuppy, then went on to Hawklor to save the encounter with the four wolfkin that ambush you on the way to Talderus, so that I'd not have to fight them repeatedly, should Sigy be slain. Intending to only look in on the werepumpkin, I decided to deal with the pie stuffing gone bad, before returning to Sageholt.

After I got my supply of orange mash, on my return to the puppy, this is what Talderus's combat timer and damage display said:
