A personal milestone that I never thought Scout would reach....
Experience|300,172
I've always spent my/his XP as fast as he got it. But at higher levels, training is expensive.......
Just when I thought 300,000+ was impossible for me (to keep my hands off of).....
Experience|417,671
(I feel the urge to do some training soon ;))

Finally got around to finishing the last 5 segments of PG 6. I had been holding off on starting "The Chasm of Time, Part V: Four Against The World" until I could get at least one or two powers up to level 80, since it has a Powers check that high. I accomplished that a little while ago, but since I've not been playing much I hadn't remembered to go back to the Proving Grounds since then. Completed it 100% and got the max reward -- very generous!
My quickstone bonus should be rather high tomorrow...
Edit: Oh, yeah: my QS bonus was 25,610! Sweet. :D

Congrats on 1,000 reps, Scout! (With three zeros that number looks graphically bigger and more impressive than the 1,100 and 1,200 ones... )
[edit] ...so allow me to spoil it by adding another, and turning a great big round number, into a perfectly symmetrical fairy-tale number that is prime-looking but isn't.

Heh, no I am not building a pool. I am just trying to extend the life of Spencer Lionking. I am only leveling up powers and skills (and have been since level 90) with specific XP. I could have had all to 100 a while ago, but as Shadowblack once eloquently stated, "Where's the fun in that?" So, I grind away and creep inexorably closer to having all to 100, and my general XP grows and grows :) I do believe Shadowblack has significantly more than my total.

Well, it looks like all these milestones will eventually see Judge Fury slide down the rankings if he doesn't pull himself away from that crystal orb and get adventuring again. It might be time to drop the GM a healthy donation (and hope for a x2 award at the end of September). There's still a few magic goodies at Tallys' on my wish list!

Even though I haven't done much grinding since the latest installment of the Mad ended (curse you DDO), I'm also over a million xp. I'm actually in position to get my first legendary power and have 250k - 350k left over depending on which power I take.
It seems natural to become a legendary healer first. On the other hand, it'd cost me less xp to become a legendary shadow mage since my shadow magic is a couple of points higher.
I think (like many) I'll wait for the end of AAM and then decide what to do.

Or Diplomacy... so he can argue his case (A-HA!!! There you go: a career investment! ;)) with Grim... (Or should that be chess, as in the Seventh Seal...)

From this one,
Interesting to note that this forum has about half the number of threads and under half the members. Of course the latter probably is affected by the fact that one had to be registered on the old forum just to view posts.
That may be influenced by the fact this forum is more organized, we have more clearly labeled sections, we have moderators to delete/prune/merge threads as needed, and our threads are much longer due to the fact they can be easily found (or at least, easier than the old forum).
By the way, remember the Ancient History project I'm doing? I reached a milestone of sorts. This post (http://shadowwolf47.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=talk&thread=757&page=1#13378) where Hpmons (one of the original creators of the old wiki) had already compiled most (though not all) of what I was trying to do :(. This will show why it's so darn important to put our collective wisdom in the wiki as soon as we can, after achieving it: so it doesn't become buried on tons of newer things, harder and harder to reach for new arrivals (although the clearly labelled specific threads for quests system of this forum is much better than the old one).
So, I'll plug some wiki tips for the wise:
If you want to add something to the wiki, do it without a second thought.
Be bold! There is nothing you can do at the wiki that can't be undone. Feel free to play
If you're unable or unwilling to add it yourself, contact your nearest friendly wiki editor  We'll take care of that for you, just provide us with the data.

Tao finally broke the 70 NV mark.
Thanks to Tarlaro's elixirs she's at 72.
Unfortunately, she lost her most valuable equipment, the Copper Emblazoned Shield, in the process. MR took a severe hit but oh well.

Congrats on a super mage!
(However, at 73 MR, it may not be worth it, as the higher her MR, the less she need rely on her powers to get out of any encounter alive... Except, of course, for the RP angle - there, method comes first, realism and practicality distant second.)
kanex7
10-01-2011, 11:48 PM
Well, you have a point. She died twice while exploring Fogbough Forset. But I see people with MR as high as 300. There's no way I can compete with that. NV, however, I've never seen go into three digits. I'm doing it mostly for bragging rights since I can't really brag about my main having ~110 MR.
Hopefully she'll get her sheild back soon and break at least 100 MR.
I'm also role playing and that's why her weapon is a staff instead of a SS weapon. I see her becoming a Grandmaster mage (NV 80) in the near future.

We-ell... Now, I'm not sure, but you might want to take a look at Judge Fury, Badstench's character, or ask him (Badstench, not the Judge - he's... well, he can be difficult at times ;)) about that triple-digit NV. :)

Okay, see this is why you should do research before you speak 'else you risk making a fool out of yourself.
Last I checked (two years ago?) nobody had made triple digits. I even recall a post were someone experimented with Tally's items and got it up to 90, though someone else argued that 100 was possible. I just figured nobody would take the MR hit. Apparently the hit wasn't even sever or noticeable for that matter.
Congrats to these overachievers.
Now I might get closer with my newest equipment, however, I am currently unable to equip it as I don't meet its requirements. If only scout would enlighten me with say...maybe half of his xp?:D
No, don't worry. I haven't learned how to feed off of others xp... yet.
Now off to grind...

You didn't make a fool of yourself. :) In fact, by bringing it up at all, some interesting things were brought to light: 131 NV... (Didn't see that before, didn't think it possible.)

Apparently the pendant I had traded for the new one was my last item with a +1 luck bonus.
So my luck now shows as its natural 19 rather than modified 20.
Someone (I think Spencer) had his stats that way for quite a while with no apparent problems, so I won't worry about it.
Tetracapillactomist
10-06-2011, 07:26 AM
Eventually you'll find that missing boost as you may switch items in the future.
In the meantime, those enchantments of Zorliarn's might prove to be a good countermeasure in battles; otherwise, as you say, there's nothing to worry about. Maybe a slight chance of some lower rolls, but the effect should be insignificant.
As we've all witnessed during the last two Stone Throw Challenges, as well as the CHR results (sorry for mentioning him, Tex), rolls by themselves, and the resulting numbers are not perfect indicators of final outcome.
And who knows... Tarlaro, or even Zorliarn himself (not to mention that dormant brewer with a still unknown potential, who's yet to become Tarlaro's competitor) might finally figure out (right, GM?) how to concoct a potion that makes your character as lucky as we've been (as 'automatic winners' of donation rewards doubling)...
Oldschool
10-06-2011, 12:52 PM
Badstench's Judge Fury I'm thinking maybe as well as Spencer..?
And TC makes a good point about those enchantments re: combat as well as other items coming around.
And if needed Tex you can always use the Wisp of Black Mist to jump your luck back up instead of swapping out the amulet or another item. And iirc it's MR boost is +2 so you'd also stay in the "300 and above" club (again iirc).

It is only better by two, but I will take level 286. I did not have any handy black orbs and almost screwed up and lost 512 xp to AS & P, but got out with 5 SP. I did have one handy portal to take me past three levels to level 282. I also have begun using a seldom-used power in the BHC. It helps very much at the very tough levels

I managed to do over 1000 damage in single run on a multiplayer boss. Did 28k total. I also killed my first MP boss!

First Killing Blow? And judging by that 28k damage total: Top Damage as well, and first first 1k+ round!
Triple congrats, then, Dman! (Which beastie was it?)
And Racey! Just noticed your post...
363 MR! Wow... Now you're really closer to 400 than to 3...
You're one item, a new Zorliarn or Tarlaro or special holiday potion, a lucky roll on the AAM talisman away from 375...
Congrats! (Phew... I'm only about 50 MR away... :D)

Proudest moment of my life... All right, maybe not.. but it's something... :)
So yes, kicked that milestone over, finally.
As the title says, all TDs and KBs collected from all 5 MPs, one after the other, starting with Talderus of Sageholt and ending with Ildy of The Copper Wood...
Wrapped up in about 1 hour and 20 minutes using only the Shadowfire Sword.
Earned 11 Battle Markers in the process, and the final rewards at the windowless blue-doored shack are in this post:

Thanks again, Spencer. It is a bit of a Sryth moment for me, that's a given. And it took luck to have all 5 lined up, ready to go one after the other, and then to get all five TDs and KBs. And took help from others to make it last only about 1 hr 20 min, for which I thank them.

Well that shouldn't happen as we'll adjust the GM's rep as necessary. And a friendly reminder to all that he can be repped from the announcement threads. Well actually one of them (Facebook?) is SrythGM per se while the other (Twitter, now I'm sure that the other is FB) is SrythAdventurer.
And while I'm at it a friendly reminder and request to Vote for Sryth below. :)

I was after this for months now...
New record for damage inflicted on an MP boss, sword alone, no QS 20s, healing, BOG, WoD, FoD, whatever else there is... Only the sword.
This is what I'm 'celebrating' ... (By 'spamming' the forum with it... Sorry about that, apologies, beg your collective pardon, etc.)
SP +50 You've healed back 50 Stamina Point(s) from the combat.
You stumble back from the towering figure of Xarakk, no long able to sustain your attack in the face of the powerful aura of dread that surrounds the demon.
You managed to deal 2161 points of damage to Xarakk before you were forced to retreat.
Please continue...
From this sequence of engagement rounds:
< 1 minute ago ... Sigynna Oiorpata, wielding (Elder Spirit Blade) dealt 2161 points of damage to Xarakk and left the fight moderately wounded....
< 1 minute ago ... Sigynna Oiorpata, wielding (Elder Spirit Blade) dealt 787 points of damage to Xarakk and left the fight slightly wounded....
< 1 minute ago ... Sigynna Oiorpata, wielding (Elder Spirit Blade) dealt 874 points of damage to Xarakk and left the fight moderately wounded....
Exactly 30 points over the old record, which was 2131 damage in a single round. Which I remember, because as I said above, I referenced it, and found the original post for Tex and PA only yesterday...
(...where was that?! Which thread?!... I thought it was this one, and I should know, since I provided the link to the original post containing the old record, but once again, I wasn't paying attention to the thread title...)
I have never had a sword-only round of 2000 or over, and the very first one breaks the all-time record.

Judge Fury has learned the art of invisibility. The trick is to lie down and stay very still. Alternatively, you could stand up and stay very still, but this is not as comfortable as lying down and staying very still. Closing one's eyes is optional but, as this can lead to falling asleep, it isn't recommended. Sleeping is an activity within which involuntary movement can occur, including the act of snoring. Snoring is a noise. Noisy people are audible and, therefore, noticeable, and people who are noticed are visible, which is, by definition, not invisible.
Thus, by not being active in any way, it is possible to not be noticed and not be noted on the list of 'actives'.
This doesn't lessen the fact that Syginna Oiorpata is becoming a very scarey fellow and likely to eventually eclipse people like Judge Fury on the rankings list whether he be invisible or not.
Well done!

And another thing... when did this outbreak of sycophantic behaviour begin? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't reps a way of congratulating people for doing or saying something that was approved of?
So, why are we suddenly congratulating people for being congratulated? I'm going to congratulate myself for not congratulating myself or anyone else who wasn't congratulated for not congratulating themselves... and we'll leave it at that!
Well done me!

This doesn't lessen the fact that Syginna Oiorpata is becoming a very scarey fellow and likely to eventually eclipse people like Judge Fury on the rankings list whether he be invisible or not.
Well done!
Thank you Judge, and thanks OS.
That's in part due to sublimation of all feelings into the second part of your name, Judge... and partly something about the flame and the void, which meshes with bits of some meat world training... Any sadness, disappointment, hurt, anger, sense of betrayal or powerlessness in the face of certain facts are easily and harmlessly turned into in-game fury and rage, focussed and relentless till it's spent and I'm soaked in sweat (luckily I don't have BO-issues, I'm told - not that I have anything against such a th... OK, I might... but I mean no offence Badstench! Crud, I can't say anything round here without offending... Guess I'll have renew my no posting vow now...).
Also, I think another trackball is dying in my angry hands... (the fifth?...)
The right-click button has begun to miss registering clicks...
Anyway... I also said a few months ago - to father, I think - that I only begun playing somewhat more seriously in the spring of this year, at which time I was still below the 300 mark, as I recall...
And I said to him: 'I'm only starting...'
So I'm also doing this because of him, in a way... he was always kind and encouraging (no, I am most definitely not talking about my 'bio-father' here)... And for my best friend...
And they're both missing now, and I miss them both...
In a way, I wanted to 'prove them right,' I guess... whatever that means in this, or any context. And I'd have wished for them to witness it, etc.
Silly, really, but that's what it is, and it is what it is, and I am what I am.
So this isn't really about a game, really, the game... it's about the people around it.
If it weren't for them, I'd no longer be here, most likely, and since the beginning of the year, when I quit for months, and it was a Person, and several, that made me stay, stick with it, and finally support it as well (more than I ever thought I'd ever be possibly willing to support any game... of course, Matt being what he is, as he is, played a great part in that decision).
Anyway (once more)... there are good people here still, friends, acquaintances... people I trust, respect, like you, Judge, and OS, and Tex, and Ned, and Spencer, and Racey, and others I'll leave out either because I'm a damned sentimental little fool and can't think straight right now, or because I don't want their heads to swell (please smirk, that's not really serious), or, in some cases, out of... discretion, I guess... (sorry to anyone left out - but if I like you, you already know, I will have told you so... and if I don't, you know that too...).
Right. Went off the rails on a completely sentimental tangent... Careening, then veering back - Oiorpata... 'Mankiller,' the Srythian Scythian, descendent of Amazons, a strange brew of a character...
So when it isn't about proving himself to his friends, it's for focussed fury and rage, sublimated sadness and all, let out harmlessly.
To illustrate, a snippet of of the focussed fury geared at grinding - and wrecking trackballs, busting trackballs, tossing tortured-to-death trackballs aside one after the other (okay, so not so harmlessly, as far as trackballs are concerned)...
(...completing Jadefang - full lair, no shortcuts, all foes dead, all pods consumed, all items collected - and the Bat Cave - likewise, all foes, all items - back-to-back in 3 minutes, including trips to Mirgspil and Graldok to demean himself by haggling with merchants breaking his flow and trying his non-existent patience... this is unedited - all other names and deeds of other adventurers left in there, just as the page displayed them...)

I do thank you, OS - and something didn't sit quite right with me, but only realised what it was after repping the Judge for his kind words:
This doesn't lessen the fact that Syginna Oiorpata is becoming a very scarey fellow and likely to eventually eclipse people like Judge Fury on the rankings list whether he be invisible or not.
Well done!
First, as I said before: thank you. Only, I don't need, nor do I want to eclipse anyone. Within this community, it is nice to be up there among the game's legendary names. That's all...

I guess it's sort of a "Congratulations for receiving so much community approval!" thing, kind of like congratulating someone for winning a local election. You're not necessarily doing it for sycophantic reasons (although that's always a possible reason, especially in politics!), but just to congratulate them for their achievement.
At least people seem to be limiting it mostly to verbal congratulations -- giving reps to people for getting lots of reps would seem pretty redundant!
In related news, all variants of the word "congratulate" have stopped looking like words to me... :p

4th in both the HOC and the LoO. (First time those numbers match for me, and LoO tended to trail HOC ranking, being of lower priority, lower rewards.)
The Battlegrounds Challenges
The Bone Horde Challenge...
You're ranked #4 with 326 consecutive victories.
You may attempt this challenge again in: 0 hour(s), 18 minute(s)
The Lords of Ogredom...
You're ranked #4 with 96 consecutive victories.
You may attempt this challenge again in: 1 hour(s), 47 minute(s)
But now I'm beginning to like the statuary too...
You stroll through the gallery of statues, marveling at the master craftsmanship that was obviously involved in creating such lifelike sculptures. Each statue has been created in honour of an adventurer whose achievements in the battlegrounds has served to impress Zumryn.
A towering statue of Trent [racey] stands in the centre of the gallery. A large statue of Garet Jax [dhammett] stands on the left side of the gallery. 11 life-size statues of Beth Draedon [donmoody], Bounty Hunter [BountyHunter], Sigynna Oiorpata [denadein], Zedalion [sbmagle], Lady Jemia [summermoon2], Vyllan [pilgrim], Mrcrowley [mrcrowley], Judge Fury [Badstench], Nathair Ap Dubh [Makhazarhael], Spencer Lionking [Durgin], and Thordon [smv1973] stand on the right side of the gallery.
Leave the gallery...
Someone moved that thing up a couple of spots.
Someone moves those statues round like chess pieces.
He or she will be the next battleground challenge chez Zumryn.
You'll have to defeat her or him at chess. (© 2011 by TC)

Huh again... was able to raise Weaponry: Slashing to 'Legendary' on specific XP alone... It cost less than I always imagined (never paid heed to XP amounts needed, planning and such): only 70,000 XP from 99 to 100...
And somehow I got that in like a week (two?) - quicker than I expected... By the time I looked at the numbers not two days ago, I was over 50,000 XP into the step from 99 to 100...
(It's amassed faster than the basic/main 'Weaponry' skill, which only just passed 51,000 XP in the same amount of time...)
So now I a 'Legendary S......' (ahem... *cough-cough*)

(Not all bad though. I'm also good at all repairs, from quarter-million worth machinery to not-so-inexpensive-but-so-cheaply-made-in-PRC trackballs. Yay me, how lucky. Jackass of all, master of none. May be high time to get a 3D printer, with so many crappy plastic parts that might have lasted longer if they were made of some high-density cardboard... Dammit.
Not in the mood for anything though, not even angry playing.
Added to the HoR's Hall of Ruin today, but it took me hours, and neither my heart nor mind was in it, so I know I did a half-arsed job. Someone please edit, I'm really not up to it...

First time I broke past 20,000 GXP Quickstone Experience Bonus reward at the 'Blue Door' office.
XP +22,480 You've been awarded a total of 22,480 Experience...
22,480 xp applied to general...
And also first time I collected over 200,000 GXP in a day, from grinding alone, I think (except for a Rhaknar's Mad, level 14 - not level 15 with the 3 times 129 AS&P reward, which I ran just now, finished before posting today's MP results).
At this moment, for the two days, the total collected is just over 275,000 Gen. XP.

With a low humming sound a swirling black portal opens up and Ankhmahor steps out of it. With a smug grin he raises his hands and and arks of silver energy start crackling between his outstretched palms. He takes another step and... stumbles over that ellipsis. (yes that one ... <---)
Bringing his awesome mastery of unarmed combat (needed 80+ to pass the check, kid you not!) to bear, Ankhmahor successfully regains his balance. He frowns at his hands - the silver flashes were gone. He mutters a few choice words in Aldvarian, snaps his fingers and (do not try this with Illusion under 74) the following image takes shape for all to see:
A towering statue of Trent [racey] stands in the centre of the gallery. A large statue of Garet Jax [dhammett] stands on the left side of the gallery. 12 life-size statues of Beth Draedon [donmoody], Sigynna Oiorpata [denadein], Zedalion [sbmagle], Bounty Hunter [BountyHunter], Lady Jemia [summermoon2], Vyllan [pilgrim], Mrcrowley [mrcrowley], Judge Fury [Badstench], Nathair Ap Dubh [Makhazarhael], Spencer Lionking [Durgin], Thordon [smv1973], and Ankhmahor [ankhmahor] stand on the right side of the gallery.

I've got all Syrina's skills up to at least 70 (some 80), and all her powers up to at least 70. Still have to get necro and unarmed at ruinous price from the collective, so this isn't as impressive as it might be. Right now, though, I'm going woohoo over getting the ice shield and levelling it last night. My gold and ATS are being saved for VRMOW. Then I'll decide what to get next.
Course, I have a massive inferiority complex when I see you fellows with your MRs in the 200s and all your skills and such at legendary and don't feel I have any right to brag, but I suppose a milestone's just a personal thing you mark and not a competition.

Syrina, meet Sigynna: felt the same way, was a newcomer, ranked in the 300s. Glad of hitting landmark points like those, but feeling as if they didn't matter when compared to the ancients of the game, all-knowing and all-powerful, all that... Didn't even feel worthy of posting my 'achievements' for a long time, they seemed so paltry, so insignificant, so trailing-behind.
Well, it doesn't matter though, they are milestones worth feeling 'woohoo' about, so do. All of it counts, they're all steps, they all add up - don't worry about or spend too much time comparing yourself to those 'above' (? - not keen on the concept of above/below in case you wonder what that's about), and before you know you'll be there, if you want.
Congrats, good luck, don't stop, and have a cookie, Mongwen.

My first-ever #1 (held it for a long time! :-)).
Getting this earlier, after all the... everything, lately and still...
Was miffed (MPs), worried ('stuff'), etc. (more 'stuff'), so I thought 'WTH, have stayed away from GL that won't see me, long enough.'
([edit] I did get to hold her hand, incidentally - for the 2,000/500 split type reward.
Not the awe-inspiring type, and once only, but these days... it'd be an event if she bothered to say 'hello,' so I won't squawk.)
Paid a visit to the BHC - first since I last moved up to 4th... for 1 day, before someone pushed me down 'where I belong?' (Heh, I don't like being pushed, down or sideways... anyway. Nature of the beast.)
...felt more gratifying for a mom... ent, than I though it'd be. (It passed though, and the rest is back...)
More so, that no black orbs took me up there, but click after click - sometimes slooowly, then bursts... Practically praying before clicks, and especially bursts, ha! - and by the skin of my teeth...
Hadn't even known that level 344 would mean rank #1... (Hello, Racey, fellow slasher! =D Great to be in your company! You'll probably head on higher now, huh?... Leave me stranded... Eh, getting used to it: nature of another beast - or the same one, come to think of it...)
Was 4th, then pushed down to 5th (heh), now back with a vengeance.
I'll be insufferable now! :-) (Not. Though I am alr... anyway, kidding. Hopefully.)

(Aah, OK, there it is - the gratifying moment is back... :-))
Here's a nice 50-ish list for my own historical, always ephemeral, moment...
(Yes, I'm afraid I'm overdoing it already... Well, no news there, I guess, so it probably won't come as a surprise, won't shock... Which is a good thing! :-) Still, sorry about it. I wasn't even going to post, but... I can 'turn on a dime' sometimes... Can be as fickle as my 'father,' only he was good, and I'm purportedly a baaad boy. Or not. That is once Hawk, Coach and Stormgait catch their collective breaths from the journey and the Whiskey Tangos since I thought there may be something afoot. Now even more since it's now missing, as I wasn't entirely sure so I thought to check it out for myself. I'm still not sure for that matter.

Thanks much, OS! (Funny, I did try play round/work a bit with that as well, several ways, sculpting and carving... huh. OK, it was me who cast it, then. Before GM cast it down... :-))
What the heck... you're right. Hawk's no longer there...
Ah, just checked. Smv knocked you off. Thordon wasn't there in that screenshot. Sorry, that's not it either, he was behind The Judge, but there.
OK, so... The first and most obvious thing I missed... the number of statues. So within the last few hours, there have been 12, then 11...
OH NO!!... And then there were none?!?... Is that where this is headed?! GM, it's past Halloween!!! Cut it out! Christmas is coming, don't start bumping us off one by one!!!! (I promise: only well-wishing messages between now and the next year!... Poor Hawk... Requiescat in pace...)
(Don't worry, OS, it's only his statue - lucky he wasn't inside... :-) Still... weird how this happened from one glance to the next...)

I thought the previous was good... The LoO was harder. Not one miserable Black Orb throughout the entire thing, low or high, caught or missed! (Are there Black Orbs in the LoO? Heh, that sounds... I'll think about it... :-) Been a long time: I don't like the LoO... :-) More easy-room humour... So I'm no longer sure there are Black Orbs... There should be, but not for me...)
One 3-level jump at mid-fifties. That was it...
And 8 healing orbs, of which 5 were missed (kuso!), all before level 60-ish.
That was hard and slow-going... (Heh, oh boy... In the LoO, of all places... You know that can't be good... =D)
I mean really nasty, much slower than BHC, I think... Penultimate beast was definitely 18+ and down it went, but reluctantly... By the level 103 beast at 18+ I had little left of anything. Had to pop a Blessing pill just to make sure I got out before going SPLAT! with my last 34 SP, and that monstrous basher with nearly 50% of its hundreds of SP. Those specials are brutal, and I'm throwing 2s and 3s against his 18+, no NV, no Divination left in me...
#2... (Oh, PoO! In the LoO!)
"I coulda been a contender!" :-) (For another shared #1 spot with Racey.)
Eh, still great, still better (for this little thing, this game, of all things), than all of this past month.
Here it is, my moment of Sryth glory...
From this:
http://www.srythforum.com/picture.php?albumid=50&pictureid=519
...to this:
http://www.srythforum.com/picture.php?albumid=50&pictureid=520
But what's even nicer: there are now 2 towering statues!
Of Racey and 'me.' That's right, I like sharing. (Well, it depends what we're talking of, and with whom, obviously), but I didn't have to bump, nudge and elbow him off his pedestal. I like that! :-) Drinks are on me (Zumryn's paying actually - I made him an offer he couldn't refuse... This is turning into a Marlon Brando retrospective here...).
http://www.srythforum.com/picture.php?albumid=50&pictureid=521
So, anyway, that's that. My first big Sryth moment. (What, were there others?... I'm drawing a blank - all others, if there were any, are faded, I think, dwarfed right now.)
OK, enough playing, time to live outside the virtual box... And shrink my head... :-)
Thank you for indulging me on this, my daughter's wedding day.
(Um, scratch that, I think I got ahead of myself and jumped into the future there - that's still Brando, but I have no daughter.
Damned Hadron Collider...)

Today's accomplishments...
acquired VROMW, unlocked first level, acquired Unarmed Combat, acquired both of Zorliarn's enchantments. My poor AT pouch...
Going out of town tomorrow, so won't be doing anything major for a while after I hit up level 25 of the mad.

Or not. Meh, whatever - "opinions differ" ;-) - here it is.)

And to prove that point, I was so wrapped into my glorious achievement, I forgot to offer my 'grats to Mongwen on acquiring Varkyn's ring, most important of those acquisitions.
So, congrats on all that, Mongwen. Keep raining posts, someone ought pick up the slack. ;-)

P.S. I have no 'jingling bells' - so that's another reference where I think you may be mixing up memories of me & someone else.

Both BHC and LOO - no easy feat.
I haven't run either in ages - since TGL and I apparently broke up ("it's not you, it's me" or something like that).
I was in the top 10 of LOO for a short time, thanks entirely to a 9+ black orb encountered on the very level I planned to exit.
So, in other words, I won't be approaching your record for some time - congrats again!

Just got the alts (all 3) first power to 80 - Shadow Magic. Also raised weaponry to level 90 which is their second skill (behind Slashing) at 90.
Still holding a bit of excess over where I want their reserves to be so I may end up raising Unarmed to 90 since the FoB doesn't allow weapon specials - if not probably will use it on Restoration to 80 each. Saved with 'em armed to see where 2 less MR and 9 more SP would place 'em.
Also thinking of raising Hawk's Weaponry to 100 for the 4 extra MR for the FoB, which will also put him in the 300 MR club without the help of Fogbough since he now sits at 299 without the pool/'shrooms.

Actually I was recently toying with the thought of a second account again as I periodically entertain those thoughts, but for now the mood has passed. Psychoadept's self-named character's recent exploits had me musing about that again. That vicarious ride through the thread and posts is fun but it's also whetted the appetite.
Then the "reincarnation" of two of his stablemates made me realize that I don't think I'd ever have the moxie to restart any of my stable. So if I do succumb to the urge to travel that road again it'll probably be via a second account. And if I ever do despite all the back and forth wrangling over such a notion it'll probably be a spur of the moment decision.

I was going to call this post
The Beginning of the End
However, the latest missive from the GM in the Correspondence from the GM thread, has suggested that maybe it is not the beginning of the end, but the beginning of the end of this chapter, until we move on to the next chapter. Now that you're thoroughly confused, please see below:
Training Telekinesis . . .
Well done, Spencer Lionking!
Your level of mastery in Telekinesis is now 100.
Advancing your level of mastery in the power of Telekinesis from 100 to 101 will cost:
0 Experience
You currently have:
8,699,917 General Experience
54 Specific Experience
No further training in this power is possible.
I now have five legendary powers, with six to go. As with other powers, levels 90 to 100 were accomplished using only specific xp. Destruction is next :)

LOL and I thought you were referring to the icon thread which I just bumped on the off chance it'll lead to some more icons being revealed.
And another somewhat predicted Milestone.
Just raised Hawk's Weaponry to Legendary for the FoB.
Was going to hold off, but even after raising it he's sitting on a little above 3 mil general xp. Plus the recent revelation that skills/powers may eventually be raised beyond their current cap is another reason, although excuse may be a more appropriate term, lol.
Looking at the rankings and stats I don't think 4 MR will help much but you never know. And I'd hate to sit and second guess not raising it.

Congrats and rep on Hawk having become a Legendary Weapon... er, OS! :-)
Good luck in the FoB II. (I hear codpiece force fields and energy barriers will be disabled in the tournament, so, um, take my unuttered advice there.)
And same - congrats and rep - to Spencer for having become able to deflect plates thrown by Mrs. Spencer at a legendary level now - always useful power. (One got through last time, at level 99, didn't it, Spencer? That usually gives the needed impetus and urgency... Wish you quick recovery and telekinetic marital bliss. :-))

(I wrote an entire post, and hit the redo arrow instead of 'quote,' then, in a bad instinctive move, I hit 'back' [navigate] button on my track-b, and so it's all gone... Things just getting better and better...
Well, fine. I'm really losing heart these days, eff it.)
So, anyway, Sigynna reached MR 350 a while back, now at 360 or 361, with SP of 277 or 271 (changing one piece of armour, and visiting Mezaryl for the +2 SP to what is shown in the quote below as SP 269), NV of 60 - or, alternatively, an mage-worthy NV of 127 with a matching MR of 307 and SP of 243, so as he sits now:
MR 361 / SP 271 / NV 60, or
MR 360 / SP 277 / NV 60, or
MR 307 / SP 245 / NV 127 (without changing numbers on the Bowl of Blood, Goblin Totem Block, whatever else there is; which I should try, maybe).
Also, just now-ish, Siggy reached level 105 in the LoO, from 103, ranked #1 from #2 before.
Sorry, Racey, but after the FoB II shop closed early (shopkeeps... Zumryn...), I was disconsolate at first, then disenchanted, and finally, all sudden-like, I got to 'feeling stabby,' then I saw that Zumryn moved my butter-statue, it was no longer where I saw it last, so I went ogre-dicing... Sigh... bloody brutal beasts... (They hit hard at 18+, at level 100+!)
Milestone? Siggy is #1 in the BHC (proudly shared with Trent), and now, thanks to my frustration, #1 in the LoO as well (sounds rather a dubious and eyebrow-raising distinction that way, dunnit?), at level 105 for now.
(For now, because I had no benefit of level-skipping portals or orbs in the higher levels, else I'd be at 107 or 108 with a well-timed one... Level 110, here we cometh like a comet - b'fore crashing, 'course...).
And here's the demise of Ogre no.104 - recorded for a reason: look at the specials that kicked in...
Sigynna Oiorpata - MR: 361 SP: 269/269 NV: 0/60

*I'm* staring into the eyes of death?! Not bloody likely: his eyes were rolled back in his head, staring at the Great Beyond. Oh, wait. Right, in that sense they were the eyes of death, I s'ppose. (Though more like 'the eyes of the dead' - no matter, close 'nough.)
You stroll through the gallery of statues, marveling at the master craftsmanship that was obviously involved in creating such lifelike sculptures. Each statue has been created in honour of an adventurer whose achievements in the battlegrounds has served to impress Zumryn.
2 towering statues of Sigynna Oiorpata [denadein] and Trent [racey] stand in the centre of the gallery. A large statue of Garet Jax [dhammett] stands on the left side of the gallery. 12 life-size statues of Beth Draedon [donmoody], Bounty Hunter [BountyHunter], Vyllan [pilgrim], Zedalion [sbmagle], Lady Jemia [summermoon2], Judge Fury [Badstench], Mrcrowley [mrcrowley], Thordon [smv1973], Nathair Ap Dubh [Makhazarhael], Spencer Lionking [Durgin], Ankhmahor [ankhmahor], and Nolly [nolly] stand on the right side of the gallery.
Leave the gallery...
So that's that for me,
instead of FoB.
Zumryn, you SoB,
again you got me...

*groan* You too? Everyone demands to be worshipped these days... (Hear that, Hp(...)mons? ;-))
Congrats, Terran - that's a very useful sword. I'm still using it. (Not kidding.)
Well, worship this. (Don't.)
Sigynna collected about 200,000 XP to all skills and powers before the FoB 2. (Racey's ambition inspired me on that, partly - thanks, R.)
And about 6,000,000 (yep, six million) general XP since last October (~4.5 to 5 million by about mid-January, I think, limited play since then).
Then, I spent all the AS&P experience points (and padded from GXP) on levelling up all powers to between 90 and 99, and all skills to between 95 and 100, before the actual FoB 2 fights began.
Now I'm amassing AS&P XP and GXP again... For fun and profit. (Actually, I'm just hypnotised by watching those numbers swell...)
Also, I broke past level 360 in the Bone Horde Challenge.
(Without Black Orb, even Silver, or level skip help - not lucky with those - to get me up to 364; though I had one at a lower level, and the ghost girl did give me a hand... um... I mean the ~1,000/250 reward, once; was sure I was at 366 - a leap year number! Either a game or brain glitch... Meh, good enough. For now.)
And got to level 108 in the Lords of Ogredom LoO (! there!). (Where Vyllan followed me, so that I shouldn't feel so alone. I'd go for level 110+ but the LoO stinks - ha - for me, I avoid it. Boringly long, not even a chance for major rewards like the Ghost Lady's...)
So now Sigy's towering statue stands singular in Zumryn's statuary (sign of reciprocal respect, I guess, lately acquired).
It's lonely at the top... :\ :-)
Racey? Trent? Care to keep me company? A favour? Or a challenge? :-) Nah, rarely poke people in the ribs with challenges. A favour, then.
Family, you're stuck with - friends, and company, you get to choose. (Kidding, family!)
Course, for all I know, I'll be joined by Bare Naked Beth (BNB)... Oh, lord, I hope she's not a Venus of Willendorf (http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=venus+of+willendorf&hl=en&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=5_k6T8G-Bcr50gGRze3JCw&sqi=2&ved=0CC4QsAQ&biw=1440&bih=666)... Sigy has great appreciation for art and ancient artefacts, but that won't stop him from gouging his own eyes out, seeing an artefact materialise in front of him. Like Oedipus?... Oh, the tragedy! :-)
That's all I can think of, as far as km boulders and milestones go...
So, bis: 'worship me.' (Don't.)

Not really trying to CONJURE up any acclaim or create something out of nothing, but here it is, anyway.
Well done, Spencer Lionking!
Your level of mastery in Conjuration is now 100.
Advancing your level of mastery in the power of Conjuration from 100 to 101 will cost:
0 Experience
You currently have:
9,991,978 General Experience
0 Specific Experience
No further training in this power is possible.
I only have three powers left and I must state it will not be an illusion when the next power falls :D

(Forgot to say a good word after the rep.) Congrats on that, and the previous. All you have is 3 slots to fill with Legendary status, skills all being there already.
And just noticed your 'grats to OS, so I'm adding mine: congrats on 1,800+ cookies, OS! You opening a bakery in Tysa soon? (I hope so... All I've ever been able to buy there is 'semi-stale hard bread!' So that's what I buy, now and again, just for kicks. But there are no pigeons, and Ildy throws it at me when I bring it for tea instead of cookies... No use telling her that's all I could find... Women... Men... :\ Ach, 'tis all a bloody mess, innit... :-))

Just passed 500 wiki edits. Of course that number would be smaller if I didn't have to keep editing my own edits for corrective purposes. :)
