Ha, never got over 1000 until I started playing more with my secondaries (trying to get the Battle Markers for the new ring). Amir just got 1286 against Ildraria. Edit: And 1296 against Talderus. I've never seen such a streak of 20s.

LOL..... I don't think you're behind on content. If I'm not mistaken that's an old "trick" started by Blackcrowe of old forum fame.

Can't pass on the opportunity to tell these.

Back on the old forum Blackcrowe created quit a stir when Ildraria first went live - back when current MR levels were unheard of so everyone was looking for an edge. Also iirc at the time there were no Dragon scaled items.

He customized an imbuable weapon calling it iirc Dragonflame Disc. This was before profiles existed and when the Dragonshards, the Iron Dragon Disc and WoD fragments were new and current for everyone and still a source of mystery. He'd wield it for a round or two then disappear. I'm guessing so no one would see it via adventurers this location. He then made a post about it on the forum hinting about it. Like I said quit the stir was created. I still get a chuckle remembering that one, lol.

And as some know Bounty Hunter's identity (as far as I know he/she has never visited either forum at least by that name) has often been discussed on both forums. As well as ongoing open invitations to visit and introduce him/her self.

So here comes Mattman showing up in an mp which Bounty Hunter was in wielding BountyHunterComeToForum :) or something similarly titled.

Back when the BMs were intro'd I started toting various BM themed weapons around like Battle Marker Mace, Maul, Blade, etc....

But my personal choice for Wurmwrit's as a Peanut's fan is Revenge of Linus ;)

Thingirl and I talk a lot over PM. I recently bought an imbuable weapon and named it "A Massive Fish," simply because it sounds funny, the mental image of a warrior battling an immensely powerful enemy, wielding simply a big fish.

Well, we got to talking about the Jonah VeggieTales Movie. In that movie, the Ninevites slap each other with fish. Well, she got a weapon, and named it "A very hungry worm," also from the story of Jonah in the Bible.

There you go, confusing backstory filled in now.

Actually I don't. I was 2000 short of top damage that fight (the BoG was a later fight with Ildraria tho, if I had used it the fight I got the 5 1000s I would have had top damage.)

Just remember that you can't use a BOG in the same battle that you apply. Either way, you show potential. If you ever do get it, you know where to go.

I actually stayed away from MPs for nearly a month when I first played Sryth. Whenever I watched an MP, I thought the damage scores were for a single round, so I thought "where do I get a weapon like that!? I can't do an MP without a weapon like that!" (lol) It wasn't until I went to get the iron discs from our dragon friend that I realized the total came from multiple rounds of fighting.

I just got my first killing blow and 1300+ damage in one combat cycle against the big bad demon of Tarramyre today! Yay me!

I'm intensely curious to know: How is it that I see fellow adventurers commonly doing 3500-4500 points of damage in a single cycle? I have Battle Rage, but come nowhere near those numbers!

Is there something I'm missing?

Easiest way to do it repeatedly:

1. Visit Tarlaro in Durnsig and buy a potion that gives you Battle Rage.

2. Get at least 8 tar blobs from fighting Ulgror and go through the portal, collecting a total of 3 black onyx gems.

I just fought against the dang dragon for quite a while. She killed me 3 times, but I got 3 1000+ battles against her, each one not using any special items or powers, just Trielra's Staff (Rundum's favorite weapon), and the best was the killing blow!

I have come to the conlusion that, while before getting 1000+ in MP battle was a chore, now I am able to do it multiple times in an MP battle w/o using any powers or items (except for Blessing of Protection, those I use with abandon sometimes now; what else am I going to spend my gold on?).

Therefore, my goal is 2000+ now, but before I take my leave of this illustruous and storied organization of the 1000 and up club I would like to sign off with the 1000+ rounds of my 1st battle with Ulgror, the Tar Spirit, a right nasty guy:

P.S. By 'clean' I mean no Quickstone heals, no Quickstone 20s, no Black Octagonal Gem, no Blessing Of Protection, no Wand of Dragonfire, no Finger of Dread, no Bottle Of Spiced Root Wine, no Tallys's Echoing Whisper, ...).

All right! A 'specialist' 1,000+ clubhouse here! (Why am I not surprised... :))

So those above might be the rules then - fine by me. Not sure what the last two are, don't have others - including QS 20s, the Wand, did not have a single BOG, and didn't even try using BoPs, as I tried before, and they seem to be ignored in my MP events; didn't use QS heals, as I wanted to hold onto them for a later PG scenario - and this having been the first all-out confrontation against Xarakk, didn't have any onyx bands - though I got the three weapons, hence the Finger, in my very first run, in which I barely assisted (thank you again :)). I guess that covers it all...

Apparently I did 'pretty good.' Beginner's luck.

So, the 'repeat post' (horrid, I know...):

Demonscourge, 133 MR, 137 SP, 34 NV, no 'WOMDs.' Yep, that's all, folks. :cool: To quote the highly eloquent Scarface: "Hey! You don't need ..." On second thought, let's not quote that. :) (Not because it's filthy - I just haven't got a quote... :D)

(These were not consecutive - there were 556 to 927 damage rounds between them - but amazingly, the order is almost perfectly ascending. I checked, and only the last two had to be switched in order to arrange them chronologically, as opposed to strictly ascending, as the appear in the original post.)

EDIT: also, no fleeing. I did that once, in my very first proper MP fight, against Ildraria, and am not interested. I use Restoration, if I feel like it (patience, Grasshopper!). Otherwise, I bite the dust and pay Kharon his blood money and ferrying fee. I know I had at least one MP event where I spent upwards of 100 XPs replacing lost Runes of Life. So be it. If it were so simple in life, I'd do that too. :D

As proof that the above round was 'clean,' here the next one (final), in which all weapons and tools of destruction in my possession were used, namely the BOG, WoD, FoD, and QS 20s...

No, as far as I know and have found, that record was 2131, beaten by my 2161, and now mine beaten by yours, unless I'm wrong.

If I'm wrong, and my search skills are poor, the record still belongs to Tex at 2232, if not, yours is the new record, congrats and a rep.

Try searching for the real record, if it's not 2131. Whatever it is, it belongs to Tex. Maybe OS could help find out.
