And once you meet the requirements for the different clubs you can petition for an invite, or something along those lines.

This could work. A person would have to provide proof in the thread that they have successfully fulfilled the requirements to become a member. Perhaps even setting a minimum number of times that you have to have achieved the 1000/1200 mark before being accepted as a member. Thordon can be chairman. :D

Is it invite only? If not, I would make it so, so that poeple who don't qualify (like me) can't just soin up on a whim, though that assumes you have the time to send out the invites and respond to the requests

I have it open to the pubic going on the honor system. If you join that you have in fact done 1000+ damage in one round and have posted it in the forum (old or new). It could be made invite only if need be and/or if others think it should be.

I don't see the point in making it invite only, as you don't garner any real benefit from joining except for pride, and you don't really get that either unless you actually did it.

Ok, now I'm downright envious. How exactly do you deal 1000+ damage? The highest I've ever damaged was around 700, and that was with super lucky rolls and all attacks on aggressive. Do you combine magic and melee and items to get 1000+?

Several of mine have been using the Wand of Dragonfire or stored QS 20's. A few I have just gotten lucky...getting several 20's consecutively and then adding a couple of specials thrown in.

There are players that use powers and have done 1000+ damage in a round. I think it was Scout that did over a 1000 damage in a round with using only Gating.

So, it seems that membership requirements in the 1K damage club have been taken down a notch! Oh well! (coming from someone who only visits MP's for the Onyx bands!) :p

Against Ildraria, Judge Fury hit a line of 20's.... I used 2 quickstone 20's, the wand of dragonfire and one finger of dread blast... and this resulted!

In that round I had 31 attacks. The most attacks I had in that battle was 34 in one round. The GM raised the number of attacks per round. That is way the battles are going much faster. Before the most attacks vs the Demon was 19 attacks.

Very astute observation. I noticed the number of rounds has increased too, but you actually kept count. Repped again, after I spread some around--for your new record.

...Somehow, with the longer mp rounds (defensive/shadow magic actually being viable and in some cases imperative), does not the 1k mark lose its exclusivity? I mean, that's a good thing, but, for bragging rights...

Like, it's not just Thor or smv or alt routinely 1king, but even Khaon and the like could conceivably have 2-3+ 1ks in a given mp (2-3+ deaths too, but that's another story, ^^;) She only had 1 before the changes.

Or I guess it's pretty hard to reach for 1.5 or 2k, so keep things as is for now?

That battle that I did 1700+ damage was after the tweak to increase the number of attacks per round. The round that I got that damage I had 32 attacks in that one round. I had many of the attacks were the 20's would keep repeating, and my weapons powers were kicking in on many rounds giving some high amounts of damage.

But others have weapons that are more expensive (cost more AT's) that should (in theory) give more specials that the Axe of Silver Blaze! :confused:

Just because a weapon is more expensive does not mean that it will be a better weapon. The Axe of Silver Blaze has 5 different specials. The Copper-Emblazoned Broadsword and Sword of Blessed Night main special is that it stuns. They have another special that does cause extra damage if I remember right. 3 of the specials from The Axe of Silver Blaze do from low to a moderately high amount of damage. The other 2 specials can do a very high amount of damage. I have had attacks not just in MP battle but in adventure battles also where I have done 170+ damage in just one attack.

I've always taken it to mean >=1000, which is inclusive of 1000.

Name has been changed so anyone who gets 1,000 damage does not have ask if they qualify. I think when the the was first started in the old forum by Barn42 he put the + at the end so people got the point that 999 of damage did not qualify.

Thassa has done it twice now with the Demon (using the Demonscourge of course). The first time took a blast from the Finger of Dread, but the second was just a lucky string of high rolls combined with 34 or 35 combat rounds. I was actually starting to wonder if I'd ever back off. :p

Actually I'm just kind of happy that the Demon is now something I can do regularly.. my first few runs against it I spent more time running away then I did hitting it. ;)
