Just wanted to drop a quick line to say 'Hi'. I found this game on Saturday and decided to join the Adventurer's Guild today, so I'll be around for awhile.

I'll see you guys around the forums and in the game..Just click on the events link and look for updates like "Drape just got killed by....." :D (j/k--I hope)

Looking forward to many more exciting and rewarding adventures in the game (I've had a couple already).

It's nice to be here.

Welcome!

And if an ogre covered in blue runes shows up, join him because he has cookies.

Hint: if you see an armored green muppet, run for the hills (lol).

Better heed that warning. In fact since he's not around I would have to say......:eek::eek:

OMG.................... where did he come from.....................

RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome Drape!

@Oldschool- Have you been saving that one for a while?

No I just Googled (images) "Kermit in armor" and it came up on the first page. However I did see a few more of Kermit that may come into play later, lol.

Now that I think about it I never got around to a YouTube search, hmmmm.

Can't seem to find him during these (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7SDr_z8xTY) festivities. Must be polishing his armor and sharpening his sword.

Considering the subject matter his handler might appreciate that one more. :)

Welcome to the game and forum, Drape.

I hope you'll be able to understand my bad spelling (note to anyone trying to teach their kids to spell: do NOT use a program called Spelling Power. It's what I used.) and grammar. Stupid homophones.

First, I want to say "Welcome to the Forum, Drape."

Second, I understand that you're new, but please read carefully as you browse our Forum in the future. We already have an "Introductions" thread in this board, so I find it unnecessary to make a whole new thread. It will save everyone a lot of trouble to remember to read carefully.

Thank you, and again, welcome to our Forum.

Welcome to the Sryth, Drape! I hope you stay with us for a long, long time. Check the wiki for spoilers and don't be shy to ask questions on the forum. And don't worry about starting new threads. If a thread or two need to be merged or deleted, we need to give our mods some work anyways ;) .

Welcome to the forum, Drape! They take good care of you here. Be sure to post all your accomplishments and let people know how your character or characters are doing! Happy Srything! Oh...and we have really strict grammar rules for forum posts - so no sentences ending in prepositions!

EDIT: JK btw :P

Yeah, about that grammer rule, don't believe him. And if anyone tries to tell you we have a rule on spelling stuff... Me not being banned is proof enough of that not being true :) Actually, that's also proof of the falsity of the grammer rule.

Now, could you tell us your character's name so we can look him up. ;) (Actually, that one I'm serious on.)

Lightwielder

You just taught me a new word, TG. I didn't realize falsity was ACTUALLY a word. I looked it up, and sure enough, it is. It looks like one of those words that's just coined to express the point, because it uses "false."

Something like "Opinionistic." People will get the point, even though the correct word is "Opinionated."

Spell check told me it's real... :)

And I guessed because of the word "fallacy". Big words make me sound smart. :)

Since "falsity" is a real word, why isn't "truthity"?

Doolipalally

Cos someone decided 'veracity' was easier to say! :)

Since "truthiness" is now an official word (thanks to Steven Colbert), should not "falsiness" also be a word?

(Should these posts be moved to "word for the day"?)

Ahh, the English Language. My best friend, and the only language I fluently speak, but also my second worst enemy. Actually, spelling and grammer only apply in the language they're in, so English is my worst enemy. :)

Mrs. Ned says "But 'falsiness' has to do with padding your bra!"

(Not that she's ever needed to do that, trust me. ;))

Mrs. Ned says "But 'falsiness' has to do with padding your bra!"

LOL!!!!!!!!!!! I, for one, don't see the point in doing that. I mean, if a guy is looking at your chest and not your face, he's not worth it anyway. Just my opinion.

Anyway, as funny and pointless as it is, I don't think bra padding has anything to do with greeting a noob. And if it does, I don't want to know.

I guess that excludes men from "falsiness" And for those guys who are already thinking of posting what I expect they'll be posting, don't do it

That's a very mature attitude -- good for you!

Greeting a new person is basically a conversation where the new person says "Hi" and tells us a little about him- or herself, and we spend some time getting to know them. If the conversation rambles a bit, there's no harm in that. It's not like we have a specific topic that we're trying to stay focused on. So relax. :)

Thank you. I just simply don't get this whole "I have to look sexy and have a boyfriend or I'll die" mentality. There's nothing wrong with trying to look pretty, as long as it doesn't compromise modesty. That goes for guys too (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMwhl4IrPNc) :).

Yeah, sure, fine. OK

You just gotta love it. The first half of the post is "off topic;" and the second is a grumpy acceptance of a few "off topic" posts in a greeting thread. :p Sorry, TG; I'm in "big brother mode" this forum session! So, "on guard!" :D

LOL! TG. Enjoyed that and I'm glad it wasn't a link showing people "busting a sag" or having their drawers halfway to their knees or lower. Thank goodness that seems to be dying off.

And re: off-topic. I agree with Young Ned as this isn't really a specific thread in my opinion.

@ Drape: He used to do this a lot. If you read through a bunch of old threads (random chats, for example), you'll see all the banter :)It's cool. Conversations have a natural way of leading from topic to topic. I've never been one to worry too much about stuff like that in forums. As long as people are being cool to eachother and having fun, it's all good :)

It's a bleeding effect. People post on one board, then they go to another board, but their brain is still in the gear from the last board, and it can sometimes transfer through.
