Since the Elixirs were open to purchase for everyone AG (except Raffle winners on this 60 day cycle) I thought it deserved its own thread.

And I just got this in Tarn as I was nearing the bottom of my SP and decided to use Gating. Hadn't seen this in my previous albeit limited testing. Of course I was engaging in melee only.

* Trielra's Staff has helped to lower the difficulty of this enemy.
* Your use of Gating costs you 1 NV...
* The smell of decay fills the air as a Demon Lord from the Rotting Realm steps through the gate and eyes your enemy with malice. The Demon Lord leaps forward and tears at your foe without mercy
@ Enemy loses 40
* You tremble with Uncontrollable Rage as you assail your foe...

* You've SLAIN your foe!

The smell of decay fills the air as...

So... you farted in the middle of the battle?

So... you farted in the middle of the battle?

He farted, and a DEMON CAME OUT!!

Actually, I think it's called "breaking righteous wind" so I am not sure that a demon would be a product of that :)

So... you farted in the middle of the battle?

Leave it to Badstench to think of that one! Lol .... I almost ______ laughing at it!

Dang; and this thing has me wondering if the "description" of Battle Rage includes ______ as a side effect!!!!!

So... you farted in the middle of the battle?

In most cases this would send your opponent into Battle Rage. Not your desired effect.

Remind them of these eternal rules of law:

1 He/she who smelled it dealt it.

2. He/she who denied it supplied it.

I did both. That didn't stop them. Come on, they're middle school boys, what do you expect? :p

I thought you were home-schooled, TG. Why are you riding school buses?

Oldschool

While we're waiting for TG's reply lemme take a guess at that one.

I'm guessing TG is "homeschooled" in the sense that she has to go through that qualifying/certifying process with her local school board.

I'm guessing she may attend a community based co-op as they seem to be gaining popularity.

In fact now that I think about it I seem to recall her mentioning this before. Also iirc it was in relation to her archery class. And I'm having an even hazier recollection of a school acronym.

All wrong. It wasn't a school bus. It was on the way back from Believe, which was a church event.

And in the eyes on the law, I attend classes at a privet school (http://www.homelifeacademy.com/) and my sisters and I have a privet tutor who lives with us. Yeah, I'm homeschooled and to legally do so in TN one of the more simple options is to enroll with an umbrella school.

Privet tutor! Does he teach you about hedges? :D

*headdesk*

And BTW, I'm talking about my mom :). In terms of what actually happens, I'm homeschooled. In terms of the law, I attend Home Life Academy, and it just happens to be that my main teacher is my mother.

And also, if anybody is looking for a program to teach their kids how to spell, DO NOT use Spelling Power (http://www.spellingpower.com/). I used it. That should be enough reason for anyone...

LOL! Well put!

Yeah I have a better idea. Just get a Speak & Spell. Man I used to have endless fun with those things. Of course they're pretty hard to find anymore and they're Collectors' Items so they're probably incredibly expensive even if you did find one.

LOL! Good one Dooli.

TG is your Archery class connected to a co op or something similar? Because I'm fairly sure I recall that and an acronym. Which of course may have been HLA.

Paladin, thanks for the trip down memory lane. I didn't actually have one as I think they were a little after my time so to speak as I recall my nephews and niece playing with them. And I remember those commercials.

Sort of. MHEA (http://www.memphishomeschool.org/) (Memphis-Area Home Educators) is (I think) a city-wide organizer, and they organize the Archery stuff. [I think that] BWC (http://www.homeschool-life.com/tn/bwcgroup/) is the more local co-op that I'm part of.

And the acronym you're thinking of might be HSLDA (http://www.hslda.org/) (Home School Legal Defense System).

Thanks TG.

As for the spelling - there seems to be several free programs on the internet. Of course, I haven't a clue as to their worth.

LOL, excellent point. It doesn't seem likely that I'll ever have any kids at this point, but if I do I'll consider myself warned. ;)

My nephew has something similar for geography - a talking globe. You touch it and it speaks the name of the country and capital. At one time, he knew just about every country and capital on the planet. I'm good with geography and I couldn't come close to stumping him until I asked him about Singapore (fooled him with an island nation which is its own capital, lol).

Does anyone remember "2XL," a white robot into which you'd insert tapes to learn spelling, math and so forth? It was a lot of fun back then.

This thread is funny, but almost entirely lacking in content. Could it be retitled or moved?

Is the info on Battle Rage all in the Elixirs thread?

thingirl
04-26-2010, 09:10 PM
Yes, most of the info is in the raffel thread. It starts with the following post of Oldschool's

Permanent but so far its rate seems mediocre at best. Also I've yet to have it display the chain effect although it did hit twice in a row followed by a non 20 (14 I think) then hit on the fourth round. Here's the node description, http://www.sryth.com/ci.php?f_c=showinfo.inc&f_infoid=battlerage EDIT: Immediately after I posted the above I had it hit midway through and continued for 6 rounds till the combat was over. Gonna do some more testing. I like the idea of natural 20's across the board plus the NR bump. But Hawk's bonuses are all at 30% without the bump to Mind plus I like the MR boost and the Battle Rage possibilities - gotta run some more combats to see.

Sorry, psycho, we did get pretty far off track in this thread...
