Dusk Dragon Carcass - noted?

Is it sure that the Dusk Dragon Carcass (Saarngard: Jagged Hills: Exploration) is a noted location?

I have explored that area pretty thoroughly, and it's not listed in my 'previously discovered locations' (everything else is: stone disc, stone hut, lake island, tangled bog, smoking hill). I do remember seeing the carcass, but I can't swear that that wasn't in a game that didn't get saved.

If it's definitely a noted location, what's a reasonable number of times to have to search for it to be fairly sure it would turn up?

The carcass is there only until you have finished the encounter.

Some noted locations disappear from the list and cannot be visited any more once you have done everything there is to do. The carcass is one such location. Another would be the silvery potion you find when exploring Hawklor.

I think that I've hit a wall in the Jagged Hills. I've visited all of the noted locations, I think, but I can't follow the black hawk. I've been working at it for a couple of weeks and I don't know what I've missed or what I haven't done.
I've seen the stone circle, the island, the dusk dragon carcus, the black hawk, the goblin who gives the stone circlet... I think that I'm stuck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I know that there are adventures tied into the explorations.

Did you find the Etched Stone Disc (noted location)? You have to have found it to have any chance of following the black hawk. You may still fail to follow the hawk even if you have found the disc so be patient.

It might help to return to the keep and talk to "Mironor".

ive been trying now for so long it hurts.... ive seen everything... even the hawk... ive talked to the thane and all i get the jagged hills is random fights... is there a possibility that it might be bugged?

Maybe you completed the encounter and forgot about it?

nope ive checked my noted locations and i cant find it... now im thinking and it says on wikia that you gain access to jagged hills AFTER you show the tablet to the thane. I was exploring the jagged hills before that... does anyone see this as a possible problem?

So, are you SURE you didn't complete the encounter already?

yes ive had THAT encounter... i was trying to find the hawk... but i guess ill have to keep trying... thank you for the help.

I cant find the darn hawk no matter how hard i search... ive seen it once but that was before i showed the thane the tablet... now all i get is random monster encounters

Showing the tablet is not related to the Hawk.

The Hawk encounter is available only until you follow it and find the sorceress, after that you no longer get the hawk.
