That's why Alanne saven hers. (I say enough time has passed that they have NVR) the girls linned up back to back and launched simultanious Destrustion blasts at the Oakruk.

You run helter-skelter over the Trynd River and through the wood of Fogbough until you're completely lost. And you don't find a close relation's home.

You find the spider troll cave. Then, you notice that it's been six hours. The tattoos have disappeared.

You find your way out of fogbough. From behind a big tree, you can see that Runeskin is in complete control of the countryside. You can also hear two goblins chatting about the fall of Tryndmoor and Syr and the capture of King Wenreald.

Meanwhile...A horde of goblins are assaulting a big residence and are also consistently bouncing off.
Goblin Commander:"Maybe we should use a troll."

Anyways, soon, a goblin stops you, and demands to know where you're going.

All of a sudden, the iron spear the goblin was carrying looked familiar.

Oh, and just so you know, the tattoos disappeared because they're actually tiny microbes that were hanging directly beneath your skin, not that you would know what microbes are and they've just sunk deeper into your body. Bye!"

Then a raven-haired guy with a noticeable limp walked by,
"Now."

Immediately, Zmflavius closed his eyes, and used his legendary skill in gating and Shadow magic (and the aid of an unknown power source in neverness) to open at least two thousand shadow paths all over Tysa.

Then the raven-haired guy smiled. He then turned into a 10-foot tall ogre covered with blue runes. He still carried the same dragonbone club and wore the same red cape. Laughing madly, he stepped into the nearest shadow path, followed closely by Zmflavius.

The girls stood in shock. By the time they recovered, the SP had closed.
"Well, I guess we go clean house, agin."
"You see, this is why I chose a residance in SE Tysa, not central Tysa."

The armies of Runeskin have left Tysa. Now, the world is beginning to rebuild and restore a land shattered. But this is not yet over. Runeskin is alive and well, and he has taken with him a powerful weapon. This weapon happens to be Saeflavius, who is so good at magic that he started with 9 powers and 14 NV (seriously).

Meanwhile...
The massive attack by Runeskin on the refuges from Hawklor left fourteen dead and nearly thirty wounded. His armies soon retreated but not before leaving with Saeflavius.

The power which opened 2000 shadow paths was only a demonstration of a relatively new magical device known as the amplifier, which... amplifies magic. If put behind someone like Saeflavius who has been trained to his fullest potential and serves Runeskin without question...yeah.

He visited Igtheon and traded his soul and social life to become the ultimate genius.























He's a pre-generated character who starts with every power except necromancy and shadow magic and 24 base MR (or something like that)

Stray bands of goblins still wandered the countryside, but for the most part, it was surprisingly peaceful. Alanne and Myrenne also learned to their horror that the goblins were particularly fond of flaying humans and generally left their handiwork next to the road in a manner similar to the way the hop-skip man was treated.

And so the girls wandered the country side, helping rebuild cities and tend to the wounded.

(Wait, Sae was kidnapped. Why would he serve Runeskin unquestionably? So that he doesn't die? Wouldn't he try to kill him?)

Andrassy, Usagi and the others in the group were traveling to the southwest, having to flee from their original course. On the way they noticed two female adventures. The group flagged them down, wanting to gather information and possibly help from them.

Behind the group was a visible pile of goblin corpses that had recently been slaughtered by them...

"Oh, hello there," said the older of the pair, "I'm surprised to see anyone out, with the recant events and all. I'm Alanne and this is my sister-"
"-Myrenne. And those goblins attacked us. Who are you?"

(It's fine, I'm not the type to get easily upset anyway.)

"I'm Andrassy. Glad we could help." The male warrior introduced somewhat modestly.

"And I'm Usagi, the greatest warrior to ever walk the planet." Usagi replied with a confident smirk and her hands on her hips.

Andrassy smacked his own forehead and sighed. "...you'll have to forgive my wife." He muttered.

Usagi looked to LnFlavia. "She's LnFlavia, and can hold her own. Can you two?" The tomboy asked.

"Yes, as those goblins found out." Alanne spoke for the both of them. "Hey, Flava, that sounds sort of like Flavius. Ln, do you know anyone by the name of Zmflavius?"

"Yes. In fact, he's my brother. We both grew up together in Port Hallik but that's another story."

The girls jumped back with their blades at the ready. Whe they saw that Ln didn't mean them any harm, they lowered their weapons and apologised. Alanne mentioned that they had some sort of microthingie in their skin that was implanted by Zm.

"It's alright. I'm used to it."

Then, an ogre charged out carrying a dirty toilet brush. He was followed by the carverclaw with dragonbone armor.

Alanne said "I thought he was dead." Then Myrenne loosed an arrow at the oger and (I think) all 5 adventrers charger the carverclaw.

(This time the girls not alone and they aren't in Zm's catsle.)

The Ogre stumbles but isn't killed by the arrow. However he throws the toilet brush at Myrenne. As the five adventurers engage the carverclaw, they realize that the armor it's wearing probably gives like +75 MR before realizing that they are in fact, engaging the legendary unarmed combatant Silex Dustadia.

(I made the name up on the spot (sort of). Basically, he's a carverclaw famous for having achieved a legendary level in unarmed combat. Oh yes, and there is more to his name than meets the eye)

He continued swiping with the iron claws. Despite the fact that no weapon (human fists included) could pierce his dragonbone armor, he did not fight recklessly.

Then Alanne noticed that there was a small spot over his heart that was unprotected.
"OK, which one of you is," She dodged a swipe of the claws, "Best at Archery."

(apparently, Alanne has the beast at 83 :))

The Carverclaw sinks to the ground, but then runs away. Suddenly, a shadow path opens, and he dashes in. However, it doesn't close.

Alanne and Mryenne want to follow, but the other 3 aren't sure.

Eventually, Lnflavia makes her decision and agrees to follow. The shadow path shows no signs of closing (unless one of you close it) so there's plenty of time to decide.

Alanne was getting impatient.
"Andrassy, Usagi, hurry up."

(Sorry, computer broke down and I am just now using an old one which doesn't work well at all due to a virus.)

Andrassy and Usagi studied the shadow path, and eventually they both went in with the others.

(Dad had to rebuild one of the comps (replaced the hard drive) because of a virius that couldn't be killed. We wouldn't have been able to even have the comp. if he hadn't put Ubuntu on, that actually started. He was able to use his grandmastery of Linux-fu to get the thing to start in XP, but he still had to replace the HD. So in short, s 'ok.)

(I plan to replace it entirely hopefully this week, and actually get good virus protection this time around. I can still post, just not many times throughout the day.)

Everyone fell into the shadow path, until finally, they landed in the ruins of a once-great city. The roads are all empty but in the distance, you can hear...something.

Alanne suggested that they go investigate.

Lnflavia quickly agreed and looked to Andrassy and Usagi for their opinion.

Andrassy nodded. "We should."

"We're an unstoppable group anyway. Bring it on." Usagi said, and then promptly went over to check it out.

Andrassy urged on the others, and proceeded with due caution.

You proceed forward. Meanwhile, in another plane of existence, a geek sitting behind a computer realizes that he forgot to actually attach anything to that particular sound. He magicks up a dusk dragon and quickly begins drawing up plot notes. Meanwhile, the dusk dragon then flies into a small band of adventurers and begins attacking with a fury.

Alanne and Myrenne lay in with their swords.

Thirty or so attacks later, both of them fall back, exhausted. Alanne is slightly wounded (91%), and Myrenne unfortunately, ended up taking the brunt of the hits and is near death (15%).

Andrassy and Usagi flank the dragon. Usagi tries to distract the dragon from the front, while Andrassy tries to climb up its back and cut a major artery with his survival knife.

Alanne had long ago finished useing her Restro on herself. Myrennne was back up to 70%, and Alanne joinned back in.

Despite numerous assaults, the dragon still remains not very badly damaged (this is, after all, a monster with a high MR and a ridiculous amount of SP).

"Let's all blast it at once with the best magic attack we have!" Usagi suggested, getting into a magic ready stance.

Alanne's highest powers are Elementalism and SM, both at 74. Destro is at 71. Myrenne (http://www.sryth.com/ci.php?f_c=pcp.inc&f_i=11ada4cxce196d7cc) has Necro 61 and Destro 58.

All of your magic attacks average around 70 or so, with the exception of Lnflavia, who is much less proficient at magic. The attack deals a total damage of 160 damage to the dragon, which, considering how hardy it is, causes it to scratch it's side, and then start spewing flame again.

Alanne suggested that they all use SM to restrain the beast while Ln borrowed her sword and tried to do what Andrassy was doing before (stabbing him in an artery).

"No need. I have a weapon."

She then pulled out the shimmering silver spear and began assaulting the dragon. She did some damage to it, but the dragon wasn't going down that easily.

[Godofpride]

Usagi made a quick search for toxic plants, and found some poison ivy. She tried to careful move it up the dragon's eye using telekinesis, and when close enough, jam it in there.

Andrassy meanwhile was trying to conjure up an illusion of a giffron, which even dragons feared.

(For the record, it is in fact possible to create an image of a griffon using illusion. Only two adventurers have performed this feat: Magical and Joddelle)

(Oh yes, I forgot it takes a level 100 illusion power to do so. Funny.)

A griffon appears, but it requires the combined effort of Alanne and Andrassy. The dragon shrinks back, and then decides to attack that annoying adventurer stabbing at its vitals with a spear.

Myrenne goes and helps LnFlavia.

The poison ivy quickly fell out the dragon's eye. He then breathed fire on both of them.

Andrassy and Usagi both used their power of fortification to errect a barrior that shielded them from them flames sufficently. They then retreated to the others, hoping to regroup.

The dragon was still very much enraged. Then, Lnflavia hit upon an idea.

"Why can't we just kill it the way we fight Ildraria: Hack at it until it flies away?"

"We'll be the magic support here, since we don't have much in the way of weapons. Our fists and feet aren't that great against very large things." Andrassy said.

Alanne and Myrenne looked at Lnflavia and then simultaneously yelled "CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Andrassy and Usagi rested a little, letting their NV reserves recharge.

Many hours later...

The dusk dragon isn't killed. Honestly, how many adventurers actually kill a dusk dragon. Apart from the one in the Dragon Cave adventure and the one in Solundor's Ring, you don't actually even fight dragons, except for Ildraria. And she never gets killed anyways. Anyways, that dragon eventually got exasperated with all the fighting, its itchy eye, and the adventurers hacking at it's body with shimmering silver weaponry and flew away.

"...and don't come back you eyesore!" Usagi yelled once it was out of earshot, not wanting it to come back.

Andrassy chuckled, and was a little worn out. Not so much as the others for certain, who were in close quarters with the dragon the entire time.

They rested for a while. Then Alanne spoke up, "What now?" They all trunned to Lnflavia.

"We could keep going down this rubble-strewn path, or enter one of those buildings..."

Myrenne suggested that they go into a building.

You enter a building. You realize that the inside is much tidier than the outside. While there are four cots inside the building, nobody seems to be home right now.

Usagi searched for food, but didn't find much. Andrassy wondered were the owners were, and looked outside the windows to check for any clues.

Usagi did find some...meat, cooked goblin style. Clearly, this building is inhabited by goblins.

"Let's get out of here," Alanne said.

"We have big enough problems on our hands, so lets." Andrassy said.

Usagi looked at the meat, but it didn't even smell good. She agreed there was nothing to gain in there anyway.

Then, a goblin kid bumps into Andrassy as soon as he's leaving the building.

[Godofpride]

Andrassy quickly forms his hand into the goblin hand signal for peace, meaning no harm to the young goblin.

The goblin then commented in a harsh guttural tongue,

"You were the humans at Goblin Hollow, right? It's surprising to see you here, since nobody else has been seen around the area ever since Lord Zmflavius led almost everybody into Tysa for a war. My father, Bergak, had led a company of around 40 goblins to Goblin Hollow as part of the invasion of Tysa. He hasn't come back yet, but then again, barely anyone has."

Alanne, who, along with her sister, had been filled in on their companions' happenings, felt sympathy for the young goblin. She came over and, as softly as she could, broke the news to the poor fellow.

"Well, in the goblin tribes, there is no dishonor in dying in battle. Even if you were killed by your commander. Anyways, why are you here? I saw Silex going through a little while ago but few others are here, except for those two Acolytes of Shubnefer who showed up here (Yes, they exist here).

(Shoot. Hey, what if... No, even YOU wouldn't do that. Or would you?)

"We don't really know. We followed a Carverclaw in through a portal and we ended up here. Maybe she," Alanne pointed to Lnflavia, "Could tell you more."

[zmflavius]

Suddenly, a dimensional portal opens up and Acolytes of Shubnefer charge through.

Just kidding.

Lnflavia then talks about a rumor she heard about how the Grey Circle was making magic amplifiers using shadow magic. Of course, it was just a rumor.

Alanne asked the goblin if he could tell them about himself and if he could draw a map of this strange place.

[zmflavius]

The goblin drew a rough sketch of a map of the area. It seemed to be mostly houses, with a few large buildings. There was a big open space in the center of the ruined city, and a large castle near the open space.

The goblin was, just a goblin kid (and not much different from a human kid, apart from the different cultures).

Alanne thanked him and asked him to weight while she talked to her friends. She turned around and asked their thoughts on weather he should be allowed to join their group. He would, after all, make a good point to stay any enemies they might encounter.

"I'm sorry, I have to go."

He quickly left.

"Well, that settles that. Let's go to this clearing in the middle."

[zmflavius]

You approach the clearing, but as you go near it, you hear the sounds of hundreds of goblins. You then notice that the goblin marked a big open space on the side of the map as "big open space that Zmflavius uses for god knows what"

They attempted to back into one of the buildings.

You walked into a...council building filled with old goblins. They're all ranting and yelling about how Gorge Tree was a much better lord even though he was ousted and they also want to know why the new lord pulled out of Tysa.

"Goblins everywhere..." Andrassy said.

Usagi cleared her throat loudly and stood in plain sight of the goblins. "What's going on here?" She boldly asked.

[zmflavius]

The goblins stare for a while. You notice that they all seem to be really old.

"What are you doing here in the first place?"

[thingirl]

Alanne stepped froward. "We followed someone into a Shadow Path, and now we're stuck here."

[Godofpride]

"Any assistance would be greatly appreciated." Andrassy said politely and pleasantly.

"...I have root wine in it for you if you help..." Usagi added. Her husband rolled his eyes.

[zmflavius]

"You'd best go to the castle then."

[thingirl]

"Thank you, sir. And, I know this is stretching it, but could you give us some form of signal to your kin that we mean no harm?"

[zmflavius]

"Well, we're not likely to attack you, unless we're provoked. Or if our leaders are provoked. Unlike Srythian goblins, the goblins of Rhar-Daepith are generally a peaceful race."

(So if an adult goblin, and not a child goblin had walked into the building, what would you have done?)

[thingirl]

(Probably tried to capture/ subdue him so he wouldn't raise the alarm.)

"Well, thank you. I think we should be going now unless my friends have anymore questions."

[Godofpride]

Usagi gave them some root wine as she promised, but otherwise had no other business with the goblins.

Andrassy nodded, and headed to the exit, slowly enough that the others could catch up.

[zmflavius]

So where do you go now?

[thingirl]

"You'd best go to the castle then."

Castle.

[zmflavius]

The streets are mostly empty. But while going to the castle, you see several large warehouses.

[thingirl]

Investigate them.

[zmflavius]

The first one is filled with salted meat.

[thingirl]

And the rest? (They split up and would yell if they found anything.)

Another one's filled with piles of wood and stone. Another is filled with limestone. And another is filled with more meat. And then you find two which are guarded by a platoon of goblins. Unlike most goblins, they're wearing decent armor and carrying well-crafted weapons. The warehouses themselves are made of stone unlike the other warehouses, which are made of wood. Also, while the regular warehouses have wooden doors, these warehouses have iron doors which are locked.

"Let's ask them what's in the warehouses."

[zmflavius]

"None of your business."

[thingirl]

"Sorry to have bothered you. My friends and I will be going now." After they were out of ear shot, Alanne used divination to see what was inside of them.

[zmflavius]

One of them seems to be piled high with weaponry, and armour. She senses that while most of it is mundane (non-magical), there are a few pieces of magical weaponry or armour within. The other one seems to be filled with a gigantic hoard of gold and treasure. There's also a large trapdoor in that warehouse.

Go 'round back of each and use Gateing to get in (starting with looking for A&U's Demonscourge in the armoury).

Usagi scrapes her arm but lands on a sword.
LnFlavia lands on a pile of chainmail and gets a sore back.

And it seems that the guards heard the loud din and are right now opening the iron door (did I mention that those particular guards were an elite unit screened for loyalty? So don't expect an easy fight if it comes to blows).

While there are many magical weapons and pieces of armour within this place, there are none as powerful as demonscourge.

Since Andrassy substained two broken wrists and was cut badly, he resorted to using his quickstone to heal himself completely. Usagi was in much better shape, so the restoration was sufficent.

The tomboy looks around in the room. "We don't really use armor or any weapons, you guys can have at it." She told the group.

Andrassy nodded quietly in agreement. Usagi sighed deeply and leaned against her husband. "We're really in for a rough time, I can tell." She complained as she rested.

ALanne said "OK, I don't think I see anything I want from here. Myrenne and Ln might see stuff they want, and they're free to look around. After a short rest, I think we should try to gate into the treasury."

[zmflavius]

Lnflavia picked out a few pieces of armor.

[thingirl]

"Now," Alanne addressed Andrassy and Usagi, "Which one of you wants to gate us out of here? Actually, it would be better if we all combined powers, wouldn't it?"

[Godofpride]

"Why don't we just cloak ourselves with shadows and go out one at a time?" Usagi suggested.

"If it's less risky, I'm for it. I need to let my quickstone recharge, and using my restoration only for healing drains my neveral reserves." Andrassy added.

[thingirl]

"Isn't the door locked? But if it isn't, I'm in."

[Godofpride]

"We can destroy the lock or use other abilities to open it, and also not risk gating elsewhere entirely." Andrassy suggested.

[thingirl]

"What about the guards?"

(I'm trying to avoid a fight.)

[zmflavius]

Lnflavia opined that she'd rather not risk a confrontation that could damage their reputation with these goblins. That being said, she'd rather not visit the treasure house either, given that she suspected that some of her comrades would have liked to loot it.

"I like your thinking, Ln. So, do you think we should all combine our Gating skills to get back out of here?"

[Godofpride]

"Ok by me. Just don't get us killed." Usagi agreed.

Andrassy was eager to move on, thinking of all that had happened so far.

[zmflavius]

Combined, it wasn't very hard to land safely in a secluded spot outside the warehouse. Nobody seemed to be around now. So now what?

(What 'r our goals again? I think we're heading to some tower.)

"Let's try and get to that tower."

[zmflavius]

You pass by a few goblins, but nothing interesting happens. When you reach the tower, you find that it's walled off from the rest of the city with a comparatively new wall with a huge gate. Two heavily armored goblins stand outside the gate, while next to what looks like a goblin tavern, you can see some more heavily armored goblins lounging about. You suddenly recognize one of them as the carverclaw with dragonbone armor.

"Let's go to a place that is out of eyesight of the goblins and preferably relatively close to the tower, then combine our Gateing again to get in."

[zmflavius]

The entire wall is patrolled.

[Godofpride]

"Let's use elementalism to blow them right off!" Usagi suggested, a little exicted.

"Or we could use illusion to make them think the tower is ablaze, so they flee." Andrassy added.

[thingirl]

"Let's go with Illusion," Alanne said.

[Godofpride]

"This shouldn't take more than one..." Andrassy said, and then focused himself. He attempted to make the entire tower appear to slowly ignite uncontrolablly.

Usagi watched with her arms folded, smirking. She loved big fires.

[thingirl]

I can tell. You know, I don't hate them either.

EDIT: Just for good measure, Alanne helped him.

...(You couldn't just ask the guards nicely?)

Suddenly, Lnflavia yells. She's disappearing piece by piece!

Before you can do anything, she's completely dematerialized.

(We tried that at the wearhouse. It didn't work.)

"LN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Calm down, Myrenne. She was standing right here. Let's see if we can find out what happened to her."

Usagi used her skill of arcana to try and discover more information.

The magic left no trace, so you couldn't find her with arcana.

Alanne attempted to use Divination.

Zmflavius is probably responsible.

(That's what I figured. Isn't Lnflavia Zmflavius' sistar and Saeflavius' aunt? And I forget which of Zmflavius' powers Runeskin has raised to Legandry.)

"This is pointless. If she's still alive, she's probably in the tower. How 'bout we try to get in?"

You're inside the outer walls. There are a lot of guards inside the wall itself and the ones on the wall can look inside. You need to be cautious. Fortunately, you're not noticed yet.

Attempt to gate into the tower.

Andrassy and Usagi try and use their thievery skill to sneak in.

The gating fails due to an anti-magic field surrounding the tower. Alanne and Myrenne fall on Usagi and Andrassy, and you're all immediately surrounded by heavily armed goblins.

[Godofpride]

Usagi attempts to use her diplomacy...

"Hey! We're really low on the gold and need a job, so we're looking to clean this place up!" She said happily.

The tomboy then pointed to a small table nearby. "You see one of those legs? I really think it's broken. We could probably fix it, and we'll do it free if you buy our services now! Don't wait! Our promotional offer won't last long!" She added.

Andrassy played along. "So would you well dressed gentlemen like us to tidy up this tower a bit? It's only for the ultra low cost of 50 gold! But we'll slash the price in half to 25 gold!" He added with equal passion to his wife.

The two eagerly waited for the goblin's response...

[zmflavius]

"...Actually, we're under orders from Lord Zephyr Magis Flavius to escort you to the tower dungeons. Or the meeting room. You can choose."

[Godofpride]

"Let's vote, since this is important." Andrassy whispered.

"Meeting room." Both Andrassy and Usagi said at the same time. They waited for the others to voice themselves.

[thingirl]

"Meeting room. Unless Myrenne says differently?"

"Nope. Meeting room."

[zmflavius]

You're escorted to the meeting room. Zmflavius happens to be there.

[thingirl]

Myrenne jumped up. (She obviously didn't remember her last meating with the guy.) "What have you done with Ln? OW!!!" Alanne had smacked her.

"Calm down, sis," she trunned to Zmflavius, "It's you. What do you want? And what have you done with Ln?"

[Godofpride]

Usagi glared at Zmflavius, cracking her knuckles while never taking her eyes off him. Andrassy simply stood still, but was quite serious himself.

They both waited for him to answer...

[zmflavius]

"Oh, she was conscripted into the army of Rhar-Daepith, which is currently at war with Ushode-Daepith, the kingdom of the trolls."

[Godofpride]

"Well I somehow doubt she joined of her own free will, so we're going to need her back." Andrassy said firmly.

"...now." Usagi added, scathing.

[zmflavius]

"Sadly, the Twentieth Corps, which she was stationed with, just departed the city while you were trying to break into the tower. On the other hand, you could follow them."

[Godofpride]

Andrassy was highly suspicious, thinking it was a set up.

"...since this is all an unfortunate misunderstanding, how about you fetch her for us? It'd be in both of our best interests." He proposed.

Usagi gave Zmflavius a death glare. She was almost growling, and was ready to pounce on him if he refused.

[thingirl]

(I like Usagi.)

The power of a wonam's stare can be unberable at times (just ask my mom). Alanne and Myrenne both know this and joined Usagi in her attempt to take down Zmflavius with the death glare.

[zmflavius]

Unfazed, Zmflavius simply said

"Don't think I let you into this tower just to release Lnflavia. I believe that Captain Kagreb gave you a choice, this room, or the dungeon. Now tell me, why would I let you into this tower and offer you a choice between the dungeon or here if I fully intended to drop you into the dungeon anyways regardless of what you chose?"

Suddenly, Zmflavius dematerializes and the floor opens up beneath you! You all fall into a dark oubliette with no door and iron walls. The floor just closed up above you. Then, water begins to fill the chamber!

"Myrenne, Usagi, Andrasy, find the source of this water. Then we'll all use Elementalism to stop it."

[Godofpride]

Thingirl: (Heh, what can I say? Tough and agressive women are fun and interesting.)

Andrassy and Usagi use their thievery skill to try and spot the source. Andrassy watched where the water was coming from first, and looked near there. Usagi put her ear to the wall and listened carefully then tap it gently, and would try that on each wall.

There are eight holes, two on each wall, 20 feet above where you are standing. The holes appear to have a diameter of around six inches each.

[Godofpride]

Usagi stood on Andrassy's shoulders to reach one hole. "Somebody hand me an ice shield so I can freeze these!" She shouted.

[thingirl]

"Why can't you use Elementalism?" Alanne asked as she took off her shield to hand to Usagi.

[Godofpride]

Andrassy answered for her since she was busy. "Anti-magic aura. If it is outside I'd assume it'd be inside too. And also the ice shield's ice should last longer, since it apparently doesn't melt naturally." He explained.

Usagi managed to freeze one hole. "Let's freeze these before the holes are covered in water." She said. The tomboy quickly sat down on her husband's shoulders, and then he moved on to the next hole. Usagi then stood up, and worked on freezing that one. She hoped the others could find a way to help them and speed up the process...

(I don't think Myrenne has the Ice Shield. Checking now.)

(EDIT: Nope, she doesn't.)

EDIT2: (Here's a crazy thought.) As Usagi was going to the 3rd one, Myrenne climbed up on Alanne's shoulders while both were standing under the last (I'm assuming that there are only 4) vent. As the third vent was frozen, Myrenne yelled for Usagi to throw her the shield.

Usagi reached out far enough with the help of Andrassy to pass her the shield, since the icey grip might make it hard to catch. She and Andassy then got ready for the next set of holes, after the other two would be done.

Alanne attempted to use Elementalism anyway. (I know this will fail, but it's worth a shot.)

No dice. But seven holes are covered up. The water level is rising though, it's harder for Andrassy to hold Usagi up underwater.

Alanne helped him hold her up. (If their heads are under, then she and Andrassy switch off soon.) And Myrenne looked for some way to drain the water.

[zmflavius]

Soon the water stopped flowing since the water was blocked up. Myrenne found a large iron seal on the ground. The iron seal clearly blocked up the drain, though it also evidently could be removed manually.

(The blockage will eventually burst, one way or another. So think fast)

[Godofpride]

EDIT: Didn't see his post since I was posting. Let's have everyone try and move it at once, and hope they can hold their breath. Andrassy should be the one to take the hardest part of the slate, since he should have the most upper body build.



Since it was just one hole left, Usagi managed to freeze it up right as the water was getting to Andrassy's upper neck. They were safe from the room completely flooding, for now.

Andrassy took a few deep breaths, while Usagi got off him and swam. She was too short to fully stand up.

"Thank the all-father we have a broad shouldered and tall man here." She said in deep relief.

Andrassy smiled at his wife, but then shivered. The water was cold, and he wanted to get out of there. Usagi clinged close to him in order to share body heat.

"There's nowhere for the water to go, and no real way out of here without magic." Andrassy said.

"I still have some root wine left. Why don't we find a way to light it on fire?" Usagi suggested.

Andrassy shook his head. "Even if that worked, we'd have to stay above it not to get roasted. Way too risky. Does anybody have any magical items? Any at all? Me and my wife don't carry much unfortunately.." He asked.

"Well they didn't make this place so the water would stay here forever. If we wait, they might drain it. But also the pipes might burst..." Usagi added.

[zmflavius]

You try to move the iron seal, and while it nudges, you suddenly notice the ice begin to crack. You heavily suspect Zmflavius is not about to let you escape that easily...

Alanne has a base might of 20. IDK what Myrenne's is, but it's probably 18 or higher.

"Well, I have this frozen dragon flame. It's frozen. And I have a jarix stone. And this black mist thingy can give might."

Myrenne cut in. "How 'bout the two of us who have the least strength take the Frozen Dragon Flame and Ice Shield and try to re-freeze the holes, while the other two try to move that cap."

[Godofpride]

"Let me try something first..." Andrassy said.

He then activated a "20" in his quickstone. He used his archmastery of unarmed combat to quickly scale the wall, grab onto a hole, and then flip into the air. From there he drove down and perfectly kicked the center of the seal with both feet in a perfect combat execution.

It didn't seem like an effective idea, but he was very quickly running out of ideas. The martial artist figured that refreezing the holes wouldn't buy them much time, since the pressure of the water was probably growing stronger and stronger due to being blocked off. (like how a hose builds up when you put a foot on it)

Usagi watched him, and then looked at the other two women. "Doesn't one of your longsword's have a "Haste" ability? Try and activate that so you'll damage the seal." She suggested.

[thingirl]

(Actually, I think they both have SSL)

"You're smart." They both said to Usagi while pointing their SSLs at Andrassy.

[Godofpride]

Usagi thanked them, while Andrassy was curious as to why the swords were being pointed at him. He got off the seal, his kick having no visible effect that he could see.

[thingirl]

"Don't you still have two 20s left? What if both of you kick it at the same time, using the 20s, and we'll haste both of you."

[Godofpride]

"Ok, if you can transfer the haste effect to us, then by all means..." Andrassy said, getting ready. Usagi got ready too, and when the other two would be ready, would both use a 20 at the same time...

Meanwhile Andrassy noticed the ice was near to breaking, some water already leaking out...

[thingirl]

"We can. Now everybody on the count of three..."

They all counted together. "1... 2..."

[Godofpride]

"3!" The couple shouted, and then used a 20 each. They then worked with the Haste to kick the seal...

(I'll wait for Zmflavius and let him seal the outcome of the seal.)

[thingirl]

(Oh man. That's bad. That's so bad, it's good. Reppable even.)

[zmflavius]

The seal breaks and the water is sucked down the hole.

[thingirl]

Alanne got her shield back from Usagi and then suggested that they follow the water to get out of there. (Besides, they're probably being sucked down anyway.)

"Let's just try and not drown..." Andrassy said in deep relief.

Although very much so pleased to have a chance at getting out alive, Usagi wasn't t very patient. She dived right into the hole, holding her breath. Andrassy went in after her.

The drain has many twists and turns. You suddenly run into...an Alligator!

[Godofpride]

Having no other option, Usagi tries to avoid the gater's mouth while trying to hit its eyes or move it away...

[zmflavius]

The Alligator begins biting like crazy.

[Godofpride]

Usagi growled loudly, and tried to stop sliding down. "I've killed worse than you with my own hands...." She scathed.

Andrassy slammed right into his wife, unable to stop from sliding down the drain. Usagi covered herself with her limbs, and the force of Andrassy coming down upon them sped up their travel.

[zmflavius]

The alligator bites Usagi's arm.

[Godofpride]

Usagi manages to keep it from moving while having her arm locked in. They slide down, her screaming in pain and anger, and Andrassy yelling while trying to hit the gater in the eye. The mouth was shut, so while going at high speeds, he hoped for a better chance to take out an eye.

[zmflavius]

In the narrow space, Andrassy manages to score a hit and frees Usagi.

Alanne had had to pull Myrenne in. They were behind the gator. Alanne could see what had happened, but even so, she swam ahead and tried to help.

(So sorry I didn't get to this sooner. I didn't get up untill about a half hour ago.)

[zmflavius]

The Gator now begins charging forward in an attempt to butt heads.

Alanne has her sword and her shield. She defended herself.

[Godofpride]

Andrassy pulled Usagi away and shielded her with his own body, while attempting to use restoration on her. It was times like these where it was bad to be an unarmed fighter. For Usagi, it was a bad time period.

(Shouldn't he also be useing Restro? Or at least attempting to?)

By this time, Myrenne showed up. They laid in with their swords, Alanne going for the head, and Myrenne going for the body.

[Godofpride]

(Would be but magic doesn't seem to work at all there. As soon as they exit the building though it should work.)

(I thought it was worth a shot because you're useing it on Usagi, not something in the building.)

The anti-magic field was still in effect, so his restro failed. But the alligator was soon slain.

They continued along the sewer until they came to...

A locked sewer grate.

Alanne and Myrenne laid in with their swords. They understood that Usagi wouldn't be of much use untill someone could use Restroation on her, and that Andrassy was busy tending to her.

[zmflavius]

You're inside a river. It seems clean, but then you notice that apparently, the city's sewage system consists of dumping everything into this river.

[Godofpride]

Usagi was in horror, and tried to keep her wound out of the water. She made curses that refered to human waste several times. Andrassy got her out of the river and onto dry land, and tended to her with restoration, while she also used her own restoration magic on herself.

[zmflavius]

You all get out of the water and onto fresh green grass. You can see Zmflavius's tower in the distance. Suddenly, you see a bloody bandage, a severed goblin limb, and a dead skeleton of a unnamed creature in the water. Where's the sewage department when you need them?

They all helped Usagi then after a brief rest, Alanne suggested that they try to find Ln.

[Godofpride]

"We need to move quickly and silently. Let's go before it's too late." Andrassy said.

Usagi looked at the other women. "Any ideas for moving other than on foot? We can't gate to her if we don't know where she is." She asked.

[zmflavius]

"Well...you sound alright. We're having problems of our own, you see, since we were promised eight new junior officers to replace the ones we lost in a recent battle and only seven have shown up. There's a rumour going around that the eighth officer was supposed to be related to Zmflavius, though there's no factual basis for it. Anyways, it's left the 4th/7th minus an officer. Would any of you care to volunteer?

"I think one of us would. Would you please excuse us while we dicide who?"

"Sure, but stay where I can see you."

(hushed)

"Well, I think it whould be either me or Andrassy."

"Why, Alanne?"

"Because, sis, he and I are the two with the most power (and the beast ability if we have to fight). He might let the rest of you be supply caddies."

"Fair enough, sis. But, code names might be good, because then they woun't here our names and arrest us."

"Good point. I'll go with Layla, and how 'bout you go with Reha."

"Hey, isn't that..."

"I doubt they would know who our cousins are. Anyway, Andrassy, Usagi, what names will you two go by?"

I don't want to think what could happen to Alanne if she was sebdued by a amoral enemy...but overall it's less risky if I go. I carry the unfair advantage in social statues." Andrassy reasoned.

Usagi sniffled a little, but quickly dried her eyes. "Well if she agrees then watch out..."

She then embraced him with a vice grip, overly worried and protective. Andrassy was a bit embaressed, but hugged back regardless. He looked at Alanne, and gave a thumbs up with a grin, subtly signaling he was ok and ready regardless of who was picked.
