Andrassy lifted Rokmokkara up the hole and waited for him to climb in.

Soon, Rokmokkara was halfway up the hole when he stopped. Rylath, who was directly behind him was about to yell at him to keep moving, when Rokmokkara's foot entered his mouth and he whispered that he could hear a LOT of goblins above the hole. Eventually, he started climbing again until all four people were above surface, in a clearing somewhere in the forest surrounding Goblin Hollow. Rylath looked around for a few moments, and then said:"Someone's still here."
War cries echoed out of the forest while goblins rushed into the clearing, yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs. Then Bergak appeared, rather obviously the walking dead. It was then that everyone noticed that all the creatures were the walking dead, and that the horde was sprinkled with the risen corpses of the villagers and soldiers of Placivicus, and that another figure was striding out from the horde into the center of the clearing where the four heroes (or three heroes and one sexist pig) stood.
Zmflavius:"So, eh, what do you think of my army?"

"....oh you're kidding me..." Usagi whinned, and then groaned.

"What's the meaning of this?" Andrassy asked demandingly, hoping they wouldn't face the entire horde.

[zmflavius]

Zmflavius:"Most of the goblins of Goblin Hollow are dead, and yea, all the people and soldiers of Placivicus. All are armed to the teeth and ready to defend the Shadow Path to welcome the Master. Remember, I believe that you two also took his gifts at Elm Gnoll. Rylath, on the other hand, has no such vow."

Zmflavius then raised his hand and a wave of negative Neverenal energy sprung from it and struck Rylath in the chest. With a yell, Rylath fell to the ground and lay still.

The lone goblin looked at the guard now addressing him and spoke in a slow, deep voice " What ring " he said, showing the guard both of his hands. The guard stared dumbfounded at the lone goblin's hands the growled "You may continue."

"Sometimes," he lone goblin thought dispelling his ring ,"Illusion is better than the skills of a master thief."

The lone goblin looked at the guard now addressing him and spoke in a slow, deep voice " What ring " he said, showing the guard both of his hands. The guard stared dumbfounded at the lone goblin's hands the growled "You may continue."

"Sometimes," he lone goblin thought dispelling his ring ,"Illusion is better than the skills of a master thief."

As the "lone goblin" continued down the corridors of Goblin Hollow, he was struck by how few goblins wandered the corridors. Indeed, he had only seen goblins at the gate. It was like they had all disappeared. Oh wait, it wasn't. There were splatters of blood all over the walls and floor, and the occasional missing limb lying on the ground. He began to seriously wonder where any of the goblins were.

Andrassy whispered to Usagi softly. "I think if we take out that one man, the undead around should fall. We can't do anything about Rylath now."

"Ok...now!" Usagi whispered back.

The two, together, left the other two men behind them as they ran towards Zmflavius. Andrassy attempted to overwhelm Zmflavius with his finger of dread (Level 5). Usagi meanwhile used her wand of Dragonfire, both in a desperate attempt to cut the army at its head.

Zmflavius collapsed to the ground writhing in agony;Every attempt he made to give up brought another spasm of pain. The undead around him began to droop when suddenly, he smiled and got back up.
Zmflavius:"Have you already forgotten? The minions of the Master cannot be slain. I am the first human who has served him, and also the first one who is adept at many kinds of magic and a master of many others. And now, are you ready to renounce this foolish resistance and serve the person whom you have pledged yourselves to?"

"We never verbally agreed, or signed anything. We've been nothing but hostile to Runeskin." Andrassy argued.

Usagi frowned. "Just get Runeskin out here! We have the Demonscourge anyway. He's done for." She said confidently.

[zmflavius]

Zmflavius:"By taking his gifts, you've already bound yourselves. You are his forever now.

As for the Demonscourge...Are you by any chance, talking about this Demonscourge" as he flourished a hammer.

Andrassy attempted to use his power of telekinesis to extract the hammer (level 65).

Usagi attempted to use divination (61) in the meantime to determine the best course of action against her foes. While doing so, she smirked. "Runeskin too scared to show?" The tomboy mocked.

Zmflavius suddenly conjured up another gate and through the hammer through it. Meanwhile, he said:"No. He just has pressing business in Trithik. Inside the city I might add. It is market day and the city is always crowded then."

Andrassy quickly used a blinding elemental light to try and cut off the sight of his foe. Along with his wife, they rushed to Zmflavius, intending to make a bold stand against him. Andrassy went for an uppercut while Usagi lept into the air to try and kick Zmflavius's head.

Zmflavius jumped back, and drew a wooden cudgel from his belt. He then began using Divination to sense his foe's movements. But despite his best efforts, he wasn't really that skilled at it and was soon backed off against a tree.
Zmflavius:"Back off. I've still gotten one trick up my sleeve..."
But he never got farther than that because immediately Rokmokkara stabbed him in the gut. At the same time, Rokmokkara threw a weighted rope around both Andrassy and Usagi. Leveling his sword at both of them while tying up Zmflavius, he smirked and said:"I'll take this dangerous necromancer back to Talinus and collect whatever reward there is for me. Meanwhile you two and that guy Rylath I just killed will never be seen or heard from again because you've presumably died in the deep tunnels within Goblin Hollow. However, you people actually will be floundering about in an unknown dimension because I used my mastery of gating to hurl your bodies there and closed the gate behind you. See ya, suckers!"
With that, he proceeded to open a magical gate to an unknown dimension and threw Andrassy, Usagi, and Rylath's corpse into it. Meanwhile he mounted Ventus (Zmflavius's horse, rode past the horde of undead in the direction of Talinus. But this story does not end here. It appears that by some stroke of luck, Rokmokkara didn't bother taking your gear (he was too busy evading the undead), which the not-actually-dead-yet Rylath grabbed. With the last of his strength, he severed the chains with his falchion before expiring. Now you will have to find a way out of the world you've been transported to. Oh and don't try to do something like "I gate myself out of here." For the purposes of this story, you'll have to find the in-game portal.

You look around. You're clearly trapped in some forest. It's altogether rather quiet. However, suddenly the peace is disturbed by a young lad of around fifteen running through the forest clad in nothing but the hides of wild goats and holding a throwing dart in his hand. All of a sudden he sees you,
"Tell me, who are you, and why is there the body of a dead man next to you?"

Andrassy brushed himself off while Usagi picked a leaf out of her hair. The former looked at the boy.

"I'm Andrassy and this is my wife, Usagi. This man was our friend in arms, but another comrade called Rokmokkara betrayed all of us. Rokmokkara stabbed Rylath, the man you see dead." Andrassy answered.

Usagi frowned. "He freed us from the chains before expiring. We need to give Rylath a proper burial, and then find a way out of here." She told the young man.

"Can you give us any information of where we are? Is there a portal nearby?" Andrassy asked.

(Note: You can't in fact, use any magic in this particular world. The reason for this is that it's so disconnected from Neverness (according to the docs, that's where all magic flows from) that only the strongest of mages can actually pull nevernal energy from there. It is however possible, if you fulfill the invisible requirements, to use magic here)

As the boy helps you dig out a grave for Rylath, he answers your questions:"Well, right now you are in the forests of Wales, which are part of the kingdom of King Arthur, whose court I happened to be going to just about now. As for a portal, I don't know of any mages who live nearby except for Merlin. But the thing is, I've heard that he definitely does not want to be disturbed, and I don't actually know where he is right now anyways. However, I know that since then, King Arthur occasionally summons mages to his court when he needs someone who can use magic."

Andrassy nodded and took in the information. The couple paid their respects to Rylath, and then looked at the boy.

"May we please follow you to the court? It'd be our best lead to a mage, which is the only way we're going to be able to return home." Andrassy asked politely.

Usagi nodded. "I promise I'll get you plenty of candy if you do." She added.

[zmflavius]

15-year old boy: "Ok sure. But what's candy?(It hasn't been invented in this part of the world yet, or at least, not in this particular area)"

So you follow the boy down many paths until finally, you arrive outside of the great City of Caerleon (not Camelot). You travel through it until you arrive in King Arthur's feast hall, where a large number of nights are feasting around the Round Table. Suddenly, a man in golden armor appears, rips a golden goblet right out of King Arthur's hand, drinks the contents of it, before laughing and running away.

King Arthur:"Gah! Who will help me get my cup back! I will grant a boon to whoever does so and brings back the man's golden armor as well!"

Usagi smirked at Andrassy, before running off at high speeds to get it by herself. He followed his wife in case she needed help, but meanwhile Usagi lept into the man in golden armor, and quickly tried to bash his head and knock him out.

The man fell from his horse cursing when suddenly a throwing dart appeared out of nowhere and speared him in the neck. Then, the boy appeared and quickly removed the golden goblet and set it down on the ground while he tried to remove the armor. However, it was rather clear that he had no idea how armor was put on or taken off (the only clothes he's ever had is wrap-around goat hides).

Usagi looked at the boy. "Let me do this." She said. The tomboy then looked at her husband.

"Andrassy, come over here and help." The tomboy called.

Andrassy came over, and the couple removed the armor. "Alright, let's get this back to the king." He then looked at the boy.

"You're a good shot." He complimented.

Soon you arrive back at Caerleon, where King Arthur now asks you what you wish for a prize.
15-year old boy:"I want to be a knight!"
King Arthur:"Well...you have to prove yourself first, so go visit Nnyzri the outfitter in the castle armory to get some weapons and armor."
The boy then left, in search of NNyrzi. Later he came back, wearing leather armor, a studded leather breastplate, a shiny ring, and holding a shinier longsword, before leaving in search of adventure and stuff.
King Arthur:"So what do you want for a prize? I will grant you anything that is within my power to give."

"Both me and my wife would like to see a mage vastly skilled in portals." Andrassy asked.

[zmflavius]

King Arthur:"I know that there are many mages who live in the forests of Wales. In fact, Merlin himself is somewhere there. There aren't any mages here right now, but I do know of where someone who can help you lives. She lives in the Isle of Avalon, which is also within the forests of Wales. Here's an approximate location."
King Arthur then gives you a map of his kingdom, with the approximate location of the Isle of Avalon marked on it.

Andrassy and Usagi bowed respectfully. "Thank you very much. We'll be going right away." Andrassy said.

The couple then made their way to the Isle of Avalon, seeking out the female mage. On the way they discovered their lack of magic ability in the kingdom, and therefore remained on their toes.

At this point in Arthur's reign, much of Britain was peaceful, and so, the first part of the journey, from Caerleon to the borders of Wales, was without event. But no sooner had you entered the Forest did the two adventurers run into 18 robbers, armed to the teeth. The robbers immediately surrounded Andrassy and Usagi, attempting to cut them down.

Andrassy ducked a few swings of the weapons before capturing one man and using him as a human shield. After his "shield" was cloven, Andrassy threw it at a man and then dropped kicked him in the face, before backflipping in the air back onto his feet. He swept the legs of one and then stomped on his throat next.

Meanwhile Usagi was moving very quickly dodging strikes and issuing lots of quick, brutal blows. She punched a spear wielding man in the gut, before flipped him over her and then taking his spear. She impaled him into the ground.

Then a man with a large axe ran towards Usagi. She side stepped the downward hack, and then guided him to Andrassy with a push. Andrassy then grabbed the man's throat with one hand, lifted him into the air, and then slammed him into the ground, also snapping his neck in the process.

One large man swung a hammer at Usagi and Andrassy. They both barely crouched down in time to duck it. Leaping off Andrassy's shoulders swiftly, Usagi did a favored move of leaping onto the shoulders of the man, her legs wrapped around his head. She twisted, broke his neck, and then jumped off gracefully.

Soon the rest of the robbers were dispatched, all killed or near death. They checked the bodies, but didn't find much besides their weapons. Leaving the scene, the couple cleaned the blood from their enemies off each other, and were glad to be unharmed.

Soon after travelling through some deep dark mountain passes, Andrass and Usagi came to a lake. Then, the Lady of the Lake appeared, who was...much more beautiful than Usagi.
Lady of the Lake:"If you're looking for portals, one recently opened in the waste lands near Castle Carbonek. Recently, due to an unfortunate turn of events Castle Carbonek and the surrounding land was disconnected from this plane of existence, and now exists between Neverness and this particular plane. In fact, recently a portal just opened inside the Waste Lands, and now the walking dead who plague the waste lands have been going through the strange portal, to do battle with those within it. It is said, also, that a ghostly woman wanders the Waste Lands. If you address her as Elaine, and make mention of a certain knight who came from this area, then she may tell you something important."
Then the Lady of the Lake quickly got into a barge on the lake and disappeared into the distance.

(Oh such bold claims of beauty.)

Andrassy and Usagi nodded, and watched the woman leave. Usagi suddenly had a word came to her mind. "...Alexander." She said. Andrassy nodded, having heard the same word in his mind.

"Let's go then sweetie." Tony said to Usagi, and then kissed her cheek.

Usagi rolled her eyes, but smirked and blushed a little. "We'll have some time to go gushy later. But let's get moving." She said, holding his hand and urging him along.

Andrassy chuckled, and the two returned to the task at hand, serious once more.

Soon Andrassy and Usagi arrived in the Waste Lands, which were indeed, wasted. Then, you encounter 4 Staggering Skeletons!

Andrassy waited for a foe, before doing a backflip and kicking the skeleton's head off it's shoulders. The skull went flying off and hit Usagi in the head. While rubbing her head, the other three ganged up on her. She backrolled out of the way of their claws, while Andrassy kicked the head off another one with a sidekick.

Angry at the undead now, Usagi dove under one's legs, dropped it, and then spung it around by its feet. She smacked the other skelton with it, until they both broke apart. Sweating, the two rested for a moment, before going on.

"And watch out for my head next time. That hurt." Usagi complained.

"Sorry. I'll be more careful." Andrassy replied.

Finally, you arrive at Castle Carbonek. Like most of the land you have been travelling through, the outer walls are wasted and overgrown with weeds like they have been unused for hundreds of years. But the keep within looks like it's in top condition, and stands in stark contrast to the surrounding land. Soon, you are joined by two knights, who introduce themselves as Tristram and Kahedin. They also mention that while traveling here, they ran into a strange fellow who warned them that while inside, they would be offered every different kind of delicious food, but they must refuse it all and eat nothing but bread, and drink nothing but water. Oh yes, and they should also go in barefoot and wearing sackcloth.

"Sackcloth? Ugh. Well we'll have to pack our clothes then." Usagi said.

"Poisoned food apparently...well thank you gentlemen." Andrassy said.

The two then heeded their warning, and got changed. They then went inside Castle Carbonek, eager to see what awaited them.

Suddenly, a hermit appeared and said:"Right well are you two to wear sackcloth, for I know that until 2 and a half years ago, you were having an affair with your uncle's wife..."
Tristram:"Hey! I only told that to like four or five hundred people that!"
Hermit:"...And you...didn't do anything wrong except stealing from my brother King Pelles, who lives inside of this castle. He's right now sending seven knights to kill you and your three companions. Good luck defending yourself with nothing but a sackcloth shirt(poor) and a knight's warsword."

[Godofpride]

"Thank goodness we rely on unarmed combat." Andrassy said.

Usagi yawned. "Relax guys. He's an archmaster, I'm a grandmaster, and you two are knights. A dragon would quiver before us. Seven knights...easy...right?" She said.

"Let's not let our guard down. Come on, let's find an area where we can stage an ambush..." Andrassy said.

The Knights enter. The Knights' shields are each emblazoned with that of a fox, a wolf, a stag, a serpent, a bear, a dragon, and a griffon. They wield a variety of weapons before charging, all the while screaming abuse and profanity.

Andrassy cursed upon being spotted. "Now." He said, and then sprinted head on towards the knights.

Usagi followed close behind, both of them rushing forward at great speeds. They both ran towards the fox knight, who appeared to have the weakest armor. Crying out, they both struck their fists right next to each other right into the weakest point of the fox knight's armor. He went flying back several feet, the impact great. Andrassy then swept the legs on the wolf knight, and Usagi side kicked him back into the other knights.

The two then backflipped quickly out of the way of the other five with astounding agility, doing several flips by using their hands to lead into the next one and the one after, five times. The two landed near a large rock. Quickly, they lifted it together, and hurled at the knights charging them, almost crushing several. The knights were skilled enough to roll out of the way, with one being knocked back just from being clipped by the large rock.

Andrassy and Usagi then waited until the bear knight swung his axe towards both of them. They were near a wall by then, so they ran up it, vaulted off, and both kicked his head so hard and accurately that they twisted his neck 180 degrees. Andrassy then grabbed the axe, and tossed it towards the other knights, barely missing the neck of the dragon knight.

The two then maneuvered to the two friendly knights, hoping they could help. There were six enemy knights still alive, the fox one heavily wounded.

Four knights were still standing. The Griffon Knight, who was evidently the leader, directed the serpent knight towards Andrassy and Usagi. He also charged that way, flourishing a cudgel. The Dragon Knight, meanwhile, engaged both Kahedin and Tristram. He soon managed to knock Kahedin to the ground, but before he could deliver the fatal blow, Tristram attempted to block the spear with his warsword. However, the warsword really was just a piece of crap, as a large chip was already missing from the point and it looked like it had been banged too many times against unmatched armor. So the Knight's spear easily snapped the warsword in half and entered Tristram's side. At this point, the knight laughed, and said:"Now you are dead for sure, because my spear was poisoned with a deadly poison I stole from Queen Isaud of Dublin. She died 8 months ago, and was the only person who could cure you." He then withdrew his spear, kicked aside Tristram's body, and prepared once more to finish off Kahedin. However, he didn't notice the Knight of the Griffon's lifeless body falling upon that of the Knight of the Serpent, nor did he notice Andrassy and Usagi bearing down behind him as he raised his spear...

Andrassy kicked the Dragon Knight's lower back hard, fracturing his spine. Usagi quickly grabbed the spear away from the Dragon Knight, and lightly stabbed his right shin an inch deep with it. She injected the toxin in such a low area as to keep the knight alive longer.

While Andrassy went to take care of the last knight, Usagi held the Dragon Knight at spear point right at the throat, as he was lying face up. "If you want to survive your own poison, you better show me where the antidote is. Your battle is lost. There's no need for anymore bloodshed. All but one of your men are dead, including your leader. Think about it. Wouldn't it be nice if the rest of us, including you, could walk away from this battle in one piece?" She propositioned calmly and reasonably, but firmly.

Dragon Knight:"Weren't you listening? I DON'T THINK THERE'S A CURE! Queen Isaud of Ireland was a legendary healer in her time, but she died a while ago. But then again, I just remembered that she passed her skill onto one person...Tristram's aunt, the one he was having an affair with until his uncle submitted a restraining order."

[Godofpride]

"Well good, it appears you're not lying then. We should be able to find her on our own with Tristram's help." Usagi said, pleased. She then broke off the spear head, and disposed of it carefully. The tomboy then got out her medical supplies, intending to take care of the Dragon Knight.

The cry of the last remaining knight echoed out, as Andrassy slayed him in combat with a strike to the throat.

"You'll need to be able to walk. If you want to survive the toxin, then you're coming with us. You better be peaceful though, because you're the only one left and outnumbered." Usagi told him. Andrassy came over, and assisted in getting Tristram's comrade to his feet, and Tristram also.

Tristram apparently could barely stand. Meanwhile the Dragon Knight said:"I forgot to tell you. Tristram's uncle is the King of Cornwall and has threatened to have Tristram executed if he steps within 10 miles of his wife. Likewise, he doesn't allow anyone to get anywhere near her. Still, I would give someone like Tristram 2 or 3 weeks."

"Well you're poisoned too, so let's get going, and we'll have to sneak around." Usagi said.

Andrassy sighed. "No other choice. We can't just let you two die." He said, wishing he could his powers of restoration.

[zmflavius]

So you staggered off across the wastelands, looking for a way to find a cure. Kahedin was sure that they were in Wales, so theoretically, if they went directly southward, and the found a ship, they could sail to Cornwall. After a week, an armored man rode up to the party. Kahedin immediately recognized him as Kurwenal, a close friend of Tristram's. Moreover, he knew Mark well, and would probably be able to fob a story past him. So the party rode to the seaside castle of Tintagil, where, Tristram's wife arrived at, and was evidently not particularly happy to see him (She also knew about his infidelity).

"Finally! Another woman around. " Usagi said light heartedly.

Andrassy bowed politely to Tristram's wife. "It's a pleasure to meet the wife of our brave comrade. He is poisoned, and has one week to live. We're attempting to find a cure." He explained.

"Got any chocolate? It's that time...hint hint wink wink..." Usagi said.

Andrassy sighed deeply.

Soon, the ship carrying Tristram's Aunt appeared on the horizon. Tristram, however, was too weak to lift himself up to look out the window. Instead, he said:"Someone, look out the window. If the ship's sails are white, then Iseult (Tristram's aunt) will be arriving. If the sails are black, then she won't be coming." So, do you wish to look out the window?

"I will." Andrassy said.

He then peered out the window, hoping for white sails.

[zmflavius]

You must get 100 or higher to succeed. Your luck score will be added to your initial roll.

You peer out the window and see...white sails.














Then you turn around, and you realize that Tristram has just succumbed to the poison.

Andrassy cursed several times. He didn't know about the dragon knight, but he knew a comrade had just been lost. Usagi brought the bad news to his wife, rather sad herself.

Tristram's wife, Iseult gave a loud cry when she heard this. In the end, Tristram and Iseult were buried in one grave. The surviving Iseult planted a red rose tree and a white rose tree over the grave. As time passed, the two trees grew together and became one tree which bloomed both red and white roses.

Andrassy and Usagi had no other choice but to go back to the ruins and attempt to find the mage, which they desperately needed. They planned the route, and then the next day at daybreak left.

As they traveled through the forests of Wales, soon, they came upon a hazelwood tree. There was a small entrance to a hole inside of it, which Andrassy and Usagi entered. When they entered, they found a man wearing a pointed hat, a long blue robe, and with a thin wand next to him. He even had a long white beard to boot. Furthermore, tales from taverns in the area indicated that Merlin rested under a hazelwood tree.

Andrassy bowed respectfully. "My name is Andrassy. May I inquire if you are Merlin sir?" He asked.

Usagi watched quietly.

"Let me handle this..." Usagi said.

She then let out an almost inhuman, cat like screech one might only hear when a woman is in labor. Andrassy covered his ears and ran out.

Usagi frowned. "Let's wait then. He was to wake up sometime, or he'll die." She said, sitting down. Andrassy came back in, and sat down with her. They waited.

Suddenly...

The Lady of the Lake (who is still much more beautiful than Usagi) walked in.
Lady of the Lake:"He will not wake for many hundreds of years until King Arthur and the round table are entombed next to him and Britain shall have need of King Arthur again. I should know, it was I who put Merlin in his enchanted rest. However, there is a way to wake him temporarily. It is hidden in this room."

Then she smiled at Andrassy and left.

(Oh so you might think.)

Andrassy thought hard about it. "Well we're going to have to search this place, no other way around it." He said.

"Alright." Usagi agreed, and looked around.

"You know...I think she was eying you. I bet a lot of women are jealous of me." The tomboy said, brushing a pigtail out of the way.

"Same for you dear." Andrassy said, smiling.

"We're so cool. We both kick arse!" She said, raising a fist into the air.

Usagi cursed many times, but calmed down eventually.

"If we can't wake this guy up, we'll have to go back to where we found those knights. But let's keep note of this location." Andrassy said.

"...whatever...I need a drink or something...ugh." Usagi said, frustrated.

Andrassy traded massages with Usagi, until they thought of something.

"Before we go all the way back there, let's try getting the lady of the lake to be more detailed" Usagi suggested.

Andrassy nodded. Without any magic, he tried to make the conditions as favorable as possible for summoning the dead. He then attempted to convince her to appear...

Lady of the Lake:"You really didn't find it? Then I will wake Merlin temporarily for you...if you dive down into this lake and retrieve a heavy scabbard. It's the scabbard of Excalibur. A while back, Arthur lost it in this lake."

Andrassy bowed politely. "Much thanks ma'am." He said.

Usagi looked at her husband. "You're stronger and have bigger lungs than me. You're going to have to make the dive for it." She said.

Andrassy nodded. "It's our best shot at the moment." He said.

"And make sure when you dive, you can swim back up without going too fast. I don't want you getting hurt or killed. I can't use restoration on you." Usagi said.

"I promise I'll go strictly by my limits." Andrassy said. "I'll be close, so if you don't make it I'm diving right down for you." Usagi said.

Andrassy smiled. "Thanks. Now let's get moving. We've had a good break." He said.

His wife nodded, and the two headed towards the lake.

No sooner had Andrassy dived in when suddenly the waters swirled and Nimue appeared holding the scabbard. Laughing, she said "You all of all people should know better. This scabbard is mine to keep! Anyways, if you manage to get him out of the fae-water which imprisons him now, then you will certainly have earned the right to wake Merlin. There is no person on Earth so skilled as I in enchantments of binding..."

Usagi wanted to scream at her, but she had to act quickly.

Knowing the only real chance she had was with magic, Usagi attempted with all her might to use her power of elementalism (62) despite her lack of access to magic.

Andrassy listened, and then went up for some air. He then dove back down, looking for the man Nimue spoke off, and then would seek to free him.

Usagi soon found that near, magic was much more easily accessed, for it is really more of a waystation between Earth and Neverness. But when the waters parted, she did not see Andrassy, but heard the Lady's laugh.
Lady of the Lake:"Gated and gone to who know's where!"

Meanwhile...

Andrassy found himself falling through the sky until he fell through the clouds and saw a building directly below him. It looked familiar...when it hit him. He was staring at a bird's eye view of Royal Hand Castle. And he was about to fall on one of the towers. One of the ones with the pointed top.

Andrassy twisted out of the way, using his archmaster unarmed combat skill (91) to properly try and evade doom. He also used his agility to help move out of the way (20).

Usagi meanwhile dove to the gate without hesitation.

You know, it probably won't be so much crashing into a tower so much as smashing onto the ground. But whatever, Usagi also found herself falling through the sky...

(I figured the quickstone would be acceptable to use. I'll have just one quickstone in their team, with one more use for the whole week. I'll post at my regular rate despite that.)

Andrassy used his power of Shadow Magic to create a web of shadows to break his fall, but he missed it. He didn't have enough time to use a blessing of protection, so he hit the ground hard. Usagi managed to land on the shadows, and bounce off safely.

"Hold on!" She said, and then used Andrassy's quickstone on him, healing him fully. He had broken many bones, but thankfully he had the quickstone as a backup. She then used her power of restoration to heal whatever wounds she sustained.

Usagi and Andrassy still needed to rest for the day to gain back their energy. They went inside the Royal Hand Castle, and nourished themselves, cleaned, and rested for the day, before planning to leave the next.

oh yeah...that was because while a normal human would have passed into the void from the fall, our characters all have superhuman bodies and magic armor.

Suddenly, the coachman appeared with the coach, asking where they would like to go in the realm.

"Trithik please." Andrassy answered at dawn, figuring Runeskin would be there, or at least nearby in Talinus.

Usagi nodded. "If you see smoke or fire, drop us off right there and go back here. We want you to remain safe." She said, caring for the well being of their loyal coachman.

While traveling, Andrassy suddenly noticed something, namely that the coachman seemed awfully nervous, and kept glancing out the coach. Suddenly however, he jumped out and yelled "Rokmokkara! I've got them!" when suddenly an arrow pierced him in the neck. Then Rokmokkara appeared, surrounded by a veritable army of goons. Smiling, he said "Go and check who's corpse is under the seat. It's the real coachman.'

"I'm sick of you vile fraud. Let's settle this once and for all." Usagi said to Rokmokkara.

Andrassy got out with Usagi, both of them wary of any long range weapons such as the one that took down the fake coachman. He frowned at Rokmokkara.

"Yes...let's settle this..." The archmaster Martial Artist said, cracking his knuckles.

The two stayed by the coach, intending to use it as cover or a tool if need be. Andrassy summoned his power of gating, unleashing a three horned beast upon the goons as his first move. Usagi used necromancy to bring back the fake coach man, as an added distraction.

Then...The entire area imploded in a massive wave of negative nevernal energy, killing the demon, the reanimated coachman, blasting apart the coach and the corpse of the real coachman, and killing every single person, except Rokmokkara, who used fortification, and Andrassy and Usagi, who were missed by the blast. Then Zmflavius stepped on the scene.
Zmflavius:"It's been three days since Rokmokkara "captured" me and I cut a bloody swathe out of Talinus. Rokmokkara, being the hero of the conflict, was chosen to chase me down, where I rejoined Runeskin and assisted him in the bloodletting in Trithik. Now, the only thing left to do before returning to Onyxus is to open a Shadow Path, though dragging you two along would be a nice bonus."

"Eat this." Andrassy said, and then used his power of destruction to blast a wave of negative nevernal energy at Zmflavius. Usagi blasted a jolt of elemental lightning at him also.

Without waiting to see the results, the two stayed close to each other and moved in on Zmflavius, attempting to overtake him in the wake of the confusion. Andrassy tried to sweep his legs while Usagi aimed a shin kick at his neck.

Zmflavius barely managed to stand up before both Andrassy and Usagi were upon him.

Suddenly...

A Shadow path opened and Zmflavius, crawled from the onslaught towards it, mumbling:"Master..."

Runeskin(stepping forth from the Shadow Path):"I expected better from you. It appears you are not fully recovered from the effects of your...gift. Very well then."

He proceeded to wave his hand and Zmflavius was healed immediately of all wounds, at which point he dashed into the portal. Meanwhile...Runeskin turned around, and stared at Andrassy and Usagi, before disappearing into the Shadow Path.

Runeskin:"This will not end here. I would advise you not to go to Trithik in the near future, as I am not finished there."

Andrassy cursed. "We can't just let Trithik be overtaken. The least we can do if we can't face Runeskin is to assist in some of the people fleeing." He said.

"Let's go, every second counts." Usagi said.

The two then made there way on foot to Trithik, being sure to stay prudent and hidden.

As they entered Trithik, the first thought that came to mind was that Trithik looked a lot like Tarn. Bloodied guardsmen however, lay fresh over many of the alleys and inside many of the smashed buildings of the riverport. The sounds of battle could still be heard all over the city, as small groups of guardsmen struggled to drive the remnants of the undead army from the city. The duo did learn, however, that Rokmokkara had been sent out by the massed entreaties of the populace to "recapture that necromancer he had so valorously subdued before." As a result, they refused to hear any word against Rokmokkara for they all still believed him to be a great hero. But the remains of the building with the green door and the bodies within were what actually shocked Andrassy and Usagi.

"This is ludicrous! What on all of Sryth do these fiends want?!?" Andrassy cried out.

Usagi frowned. "They apparently want to be tortured and killed...by us." She scathed.

Andrassy sighed. "Without the demonscourge we're going to have to be really careful and plot this out well." He said.

"Fine. Let's just try and save some lives..." Usagi said.

The two then snuck about the city, trying to find the source of the bloodshed and snuff it out for good.

While wandering the city, you encounter:

They're brandishing all manner of weaponry but are wandering aimlessly.

Out of the blue, a rider rode into the city yelling that Port Hallik was under attack. Then, a squad of undead archers immediately raised their boltslings and filled him with pointy bits of iron.

Andrassy and Usagi got behind cover, and aimed destructive waves at the enemy, taking pot shots. An arrow just missed Andrassy as he got behind the wall.

"The Port too? This is insane..." He said.

Usagi tried a bolt of lightning, then sighed. "You're telling me. I want to skin Runeskin." She said.

The pair worked to pick off the archers carefully.

Eventually, all the undead in the area were down. Andrassy and Usagi left Trithik heading northward, for Port Hallik. Along the way, you reach a fork in the road. The left fork leads to Tally's Trading Post whereas the right fork leads to Port Hallik.

Usagi looked exicted. "Let's go that way!" She said, pointing to Tally's Trading Post.

"Good idea. Such a wise and experienced adventurer will be sure to help us somehow. He's a good friend too." Andrassy said.

The two then changed directions, heading left for the moment.

While on the way, they came upon a disturbing sight. While it was extremely difficult to identify what exactly was dangling from the branches of that tree, it appeared to be a mangled version of an adventurer beat up by a...well something that was hard and sharp enough to remove one arm, break the other, smash up one leg into a piece of dangling flesh, and, well his left leg seemed whole for some reason. But much more importantly, whoever committed this hideous crime never bothered taking the adventurer's magic pocket book, which was held closed by the adventurer's broken arm and contained a good 3 and a half billion gold coins as well as a good 1728 adventurer tokens. For some reason, though, all his armor and weapons had been stolen (or he was heading to Zumryn's) so he remained in his birthday suit. Unfortunately, Andrassy and Usagi were unable to pry the man's bloody fingers off the magic pocket book.

"The very least we can do is return the money to this man's wife, children, or closest relative." Andrassy said, drawing out a knife where he'd cut apart the hand.

As soon as you step into the trading post, Tallys takes a look at the pocketbook and says
"Oh hi, Con-, oh wait. You're not him. Where'd you get that magic pocketbook though, he often uses it to transport stuff belonging to others. He's a courier you see. May not pay well, but hey, his entire clan was killed when Zmflavius sacked Placivicus and Trithik so he only has himself to support."

"He was killed as well. We found him dead and naked." Andrassy answered.

Usagi sighed. "No family? Well we'd like you to use the money for the surviving victims of Zmflavius. I'm sure they need homes, food, clothing, etc." She told him.

Andrassy nodded. "That's a great idea Usagi."

He then turned to Tally's. "If there's anyone we can trust it's you. I am aware you do charity work already, so you'd know where to best spend it." Andrassy said.

Tallys:"Ok then. But if you're going to Port Hallik, I suggest you take this."

Tallys then gives Andrassy and Usagi a bottle filled with a blue mist.

Tallys:"This bottle, when smashed on the ground, creates an energy pulse which obliterates every undead creature with 50 ft of the centerpoint of the explosion. In addition, any necromancer casting necromancy within the blast radius will be completely drained of all his NV."

Andrassy initiated a shoulder cross with the old adventurer.

"Thank you kindly. We won't let this go to waste." The Martial Artist said.

"I wish there was alcohol that looked that cool." Usagi said.

Andrassy smacked his own forehead and sighed. The two bid farewell to Tally's, and traveled to the port.

Soon, you come to a crossroads in the road. Unfortunately, during your stint on Earth, you forgot which path leads to Port Hallik and which paths lead to elsewhere. There are three paths: A left path, a center path, and a right path.

Andrassy attempted to use shadow magic in order to hear a whisper that would tell him which way to go.

Usagi groaned. "Oh this is just great." She complained.

Whisper:"Errr...right, no... left, no... center, um...well definitely not left that goes to the middle of nowhere. Wow this is confusing, Zmflavius is using necromancy around 51 feet down the right path but Port Hallik is burning around 501 feet down the center path.

Andrassy nodded. "We go right." He told Usagi.

She followed him, and they hurried off to try and find Zmflavius.

Under user CP, in options, right at the bottom, you can change your message editor. I changed it to enhanced interface, mainly because it makes using BB-codes much easier, and I'm not too savvy with them.

Andrassy and Usagi continued down the right path, til they found themselves outside deadwater shoals, where a great undead army was gathering. Most of them were the ill-fated passengers of ships in eons past which had been destroyed trying to navigate this piece of treacherous coastline. Zmflavius could be seen fully embroiled in his struggle to control the mass of undead gathering. Meanwhile, two cloaked figures emerged from a cave, one of them asking Zmflavius whether he needed help, to which he quickly shook his head. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew through, and it was revealed that one of the cloaked was Brother Adrak of the Order of the Hammersign, while the other was...

"I'll distract them. Now let's go before they mobilize." Usagi said.

Andrassy nodded. He then attempted to sneak up behind the necromancer and use the special gift from Tally's at the best moment. Andrassy held the bottle tightly, enforcing his grip with his power of telekinesis.

Meaning Usagi ran right up to them, crying out a savage war cry, giving the impression she was in a blind, demonic, primitive rage. She savagely punched one undead warrior in the skull, breaking it due to her sheer ferocity. Usagi then growled and snarled, attacking any enemy within range without any signs of slowing down.

Andrassy hurried, but tried to take advantage of the situation as best as he could, not wanting to waste it.

"I should have at least a minute before Usagi will need me." Andrassy thought to himself, closing in.

Zmflavius, still absorbed in his necromancy, yelled to Brother Adrak, and the person wearing a face mask to hold off Usagi.

Tallys left the room where three novice adventurers continued to spar against the training dummies. If he weren't so old himself, he would have gone with Andrassy and Usagi. As it was, he was sure that they could handle the problem since he had given them the Mortbane elixir...

Suddenly, Tallys jumped up and ran towards his locked cabinet of elixirs. Immediately, he saw that the bottle with green mist inside was still there! He had given them the wrong bottle! He then noticed that he had given them the blue-misted elixir, the Seer-bane, which emptied the NV of everyone within 100 feet of its blast radius. Knowing they would probably need help fighting a massive undead army on empty tanks of magic, he quickly ushered out all the protesting adventurers inside his trading post before grabbing the copper-emblazoned broadsword...Oh wait, he had lent that one out to Rokmokkara. Ok, so he quickly grabbed Megnun's warblade, oh wait he had lent that one out to someone else. Ok, so he grabbed his silver edged longsword and armored himself in his best armor available...oh wait, his physical condition had deteriorated greatly. His mind was only 14, his might 12, and his body 7 (gasp). No matter, he had bought enough elixirs of the torrent from that fellow in Mirgspil before frequent raids forced him to close his business. Within 10 minutes, he had mounted his old, arthiritis-plagued, loving-dispositioned, over-pampered charger and was setting off at top speed for Port Hallik while he attempted to use his legendary skill in Divination to figure out which way Andrassy and Usagi had gone...

The masked man removed his face mask, revealing himself to be a teenager of around fourteen years. Zmflavius stilled the army, before saying,
"Sae, kill those two or die trying."

Immediately, Sae jumped forward, drawing a longsword from within his cloak.

Andrassy made it to Usagi's side thanks to the army being stilled. The two stood together, and went straight to Sae as he came out then. Andrassy aimed to subdue the young man if possible, while Usagi simply focused on winning.

The two unarmed combants engaged their foe, unsure of his skill, but sure of their own. Andrassy was the first to reach Sae, relying on his archmaster combat skill and well aware that the foe he and his wife were engaging could be much than he appeared. Zmflavius had stopped his army after all.

Only a few rounds are enough to tell you that Sae is completely and utterly green, and in all likelihood has no combat experience whatsoever.

Usagi noticed, and backed off. Andrassy subdued the young man, not wanting to kill him and wondering why Zmflavius bothered sending Sae after them.

Sae:"Father, forgive me..."

Andrassy put Sae aside, wondering if he was related to the necromancer.

"We're screwed. Book it." Usagi said, turning to run.

Andrassy realized she was right. Even if they slayed the necromancer, the monk could pose a threat, and one mistake would mean death. He turned and ran with Usagi.

Zmflavius:"Well, that was easy. You sixty, track them down and slay them."

Immediately sixty skeletal sailors ran after Andrassy and Usagi.

Andrassy and Usagi ran quickly, and found an underground mine they could use to flee underground. They even found a few goblin bombs. The two set up a trap near the entrance with the bombs, and then fled to the other exit.

But on the way they encountered a few goblins, who being able to sense the undead, were fleeing for their lives also. They left them alone and contunied on, hoping to find a horse or help nearby.

Suddenly, Tallys, still riding his mangy old horse, showed up, and cut through the undead with the rotbane sword. He then jumped down, and asked how Andrassy and Usagi were doing.

"Terrible. The potion backfired and we have no NV reserves left. There's a growing army of the undead reaching the 1,000 mark, and Brother Adrak is a backstabber. We were retreating just now, the undead close behind." Andrassy explained.

"We used some goblin bombs in the mines against them, but that won't give us much time until more undead come." Usagi added.

Tallys:"Well, in that case, you might want these NV potions."

He held out two bottles filled with a dark green liquid.

The pair chugged them down, and felt empowered. Usagi raised a fist into the air. Andrassy trembled slightly.

"Well here they come!" She said.

"Well here they come!" She said.

The couple nodded, and then used their gating ability to summon two demonic creatures, which went after the undead. The two then went forward, eager to begin the long, grueling, and dangerous task of facing an army.

But then, Tallys flicked his hand, and then suddenly the illusion surrounding his body melted away. Oh boy. Rokmokkara. Again. He immediately threw another bottle of seer-bane to the ground, draining Andrassy and Usagi of their magic (again) while he quickly drank up his last NV potion. He then rode towards Andrassy and Usagi, screaming for blood.

Andrassy let Usagi jump off him, and at Rokmokkara. She aimed to demount him by tackling to the ground.

As Usagi jumped off, Andrassy took some glass shards and threw them at the horse's throat. He didn't feel good about it, but he was willing to do what it took to defeat Rokmokkara.

The horse fell to the ground, twisting in its death throes. Meanwhile Rokmokkara drew Megnun's warblade and advanced, a mad glint in his eye.

"Oh god...what happened to Tally's then?" Andrassy questioned.

Usagi went to Andrassy's side, and the two stayed on the defensive, knowing the blade was very powerful and magical in nature.

[zmflavius]

Rokmokkara:"How should I know? Still at the trading post for all I care. Anyways, are you fools ready to give up and join Runeskin yet? I think the Undead army is already marching."

Rokmokkara then began laughing madly, when suddenly it was cut short by somebody sticking a longsword in his back. When he slid off the blade, it turned out to be Sae's longsword.

Andrassy and Usagi looked at Sae in surprise. The demons they had summoned had already been slain, as they had charged too fast and far ahead into the undead army.

Andrassy looked at him warily. "We can't let the undead build up anymore. I don't want to hurt your father, I just want to stop his efforts and Runeskin." He said.

Usagi looked at Rokmokkara, then spit on him. "Good riddance." She said in utter disdain.

Sae:"The attack on Port Hallik is just a distraction. The massive undead army gathering here is still going to march on the Port, but in reality, Runeskin is opening around a dozen shadow paths near Talinus:

1)Inside the ruins of Yir-Tanon, watched over by the Tzaril.
2)Inside the Dreadstone cave in the Blustery woods. Runeskin has convinced the goblins in the area to help him.
3)In the woodland clearing where adventurers are known to fight Talderus Redborn: Runeskin has implanted several fake adventurers who during the MP fight, will turn on the adventurers and then open a shadow path.
4)In the ruins of Mezaryl's tower, she has not inhabited it yet.
5)Inside the ruins of the Moonshore crossroads, which Runeskin has destroyed in a lightning strike.

"Well, we could do two things. Firstly, I have heard that adventurers exploring the realms at random and also in possession of a certain magical artifact or skilled in the magical art of Gating have shut down individual Shadow Paths. So if we could rally twelve adventurers with items that could close shadow paths or skilled enough in gating to close it by themselves, we could shut down the portals of invasion. Also, it would be useful to have a thirteenth person, preferably someone with a quick and reliable method of transportation to Talinus to warn the people there in case we do not have enough time to shut down every shadow path.

Then, Tallys showed up. After being told the story, he said:"Well, that makes four. Anyone got an idea where we could find 8 renowned adventurers who could help us?"

Tallys:"Well, the most direct route there would be to head southwest, through the edges of the Old North Wood, and then follow the Trynd River through Mirgspil and to Trithik. Shouldn't be too hard, most of the area is paved though the part of the road that goes through the Old North Wood is often discarded for a somewhat safer route if not longer route that goes around the wood. You see, the road that goes through the Wood goes dangerously close to a cave inhabited by vicious jadefang ants. Alternately, we could take a direct road southward to Griffonhold Keep and then west to Trithik."

Two ladies, adventures of sorts, were traveling to Tallys Trading Post to get new stuff.

"Hurry UP Myrenne, you know Tallys removes his Copper Emblazoned collection today." Said the first.
"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Alanne, Why don't you call the coachman?" Replied the second.
"Myrenne, you know I said I wouldn't bother him for a trip to Tallys."
"Fine."

Half and hour later, the sisters (for sisters they were) wound up at Tallys Trading Post, only to find a dead body hanging from a tree outside and a sign on the door that said "Gone Hunting". His cottage was locked too.

"Great, so we came here for nothing!" Said Myrenne.
"No. Something happened. Myrenne, gate us back to Stormedge Place so we can get the coach and find out what happened." Alanne ordered.
"Yes Alanne."

But all didn't go as planned. A mistake in the spell caused them to fall about 10 feet away from where Rokmokkara was standing. Alanne barely stopped herself from yelling at her sister, but was glad that she found what had happened.

Rokmokkara walked forward, wielding Megnun's warblade.

Rokmokkara:"The master is coming to tend to his flock! Only a moment ago, an idiotic runt thought he could dispose of me by sticking a longsword in my back! The minions of Runeskin, like the master, are undying. Wouldn't you care to take that offer. Do not throw it back in his face like those fools Andrassy and Usagi."

Meanwhile, Zmflavius dropped down from a tree behind Alanne, holding Iakor's Iron Spear. Cackling madly, he lunged forward, but missed.

Alanne said "Who's the... Oh no." She took out her Simmering Silver Longward and engaged in battle with Zmflavius. She keps talkig about how she hates Runeskin, so that hopefully Myrenne could creep in unnoticed. Myrenne raised the staff Tzal-Tolath and struck Zmflavius.

Zmflavius stumbled forward, dazed...directly onto Alanne's SSL.

Then Zmflavius stood up, his wound fully healed before charging forward, flourishing the iron spear.

Alanne is hopeing that 'evil geinious syndrome' will kick in, and he'll tell her his plans and then she and Myrenne will escape and try to stop them.

Immediately, he opened four shadow paths, one each 5 meters from Alanne and Myrenne in the north, south, east, and the west. Then he opened a fifth shadow path in between the four, which he and Rokmokkara entered. Before he left, he said, "Each of these shadow paths will take you to a different area of the conflict. Of course, you could just close them and be on your way, but where's the fun in that? Oh, and just in case you wanted to know: Your current location is around 4 miles from Port Hallik, which is under heavy attack from the armies of Runeskin."

"Let's go to Griffinkeep then." Andrassy said. Usagi nodded and agreed.

As they continued further southward, they became more and more aware of the fact that the Edgelands were almost completely controlled by Runeskin. However, it appeared that despite the fact that it had already been 5 days since they departed, Runeskin seemed content to sit and wait out the defenders fortifying Talinus. Then, they ran into a large group of refugees going northeast, led by Conirinn and Irzynn. Runeskin had sent a large army into Crownhald where his armies even now still searched for the last few holdouts of the humans who populated this remote region of Tysa. Indeed all the villages of the Hart Hills had fallen and become nothing more than staging grounds for Runeskin's armies when he opened shadow paths there. With the fall of Stormfield as an undead army poured forth from a shadow path in the Murk, only the villlage of Sevenhorn remained unconquered. However, it's militia was all but gone, destroyed when they sent it north to combat Runeskin's violent forays. Now, only a group of adventurers, soldiers, militiamen, and mercenaries massing at the Goblinclaw Inn was the only deterrent to Runeskin's unquestioned control of the southwest.

"Ordinary!?! Not 1 and a half years ago, I was hiding in my barn while the Wehrmacht rolled into Russia when these huge flashes of light appeared in the sky! Someone told me that someone in the ghetto had decided it was a sign from God that something would deliver the Jews from the Nazis. Well, what do you know...oh there they are! The Lizards! Greetings Superior sir!"

8 tzaril walked towards the barn, 6 whm were carrying some sort of alien assault rifle, one a bazooka, and another a walkie-talkie.

The girls turnned around. THey saw the tzaril and diddn't know what to think. On one hand most tzaril are bad. On the other, they only exsit in the kingdom of Tysa. So they bowed down too, but diddn't say anything.

The Tzaril commander glanced at Alanne and Myrenne, before commenting, "If only everyone on this accursed planet had been like you. Our probes first detected Tosev 3 800 years ago, and brought back pictures of barbarians in metal suits riding beasts of burden. When we attacked, we detonated several EMP bombs above the surface of Earth, only to find that you Big Uglies had not yet discovered computers yet. So, which side are you on, our's or the Deutsche?"

"Yes, I know. We have to say we're on their side or else-"

The leader then raised his rifle...and let loose several rounds above Alanne's head. Then cackling madly, he and his squad left for the woods.

The farmer looked around, and said,"Oh crap. Someone heard us." Immediately several Wehrmacht soldiers stepped out, and shot the farmer to death.

However...the other side is a fiendish medieval torture chamber. Ogres, mountain goblins, and a carverclaw with attached iron claws mill around the room, reveling in the screams of their victims. Well, except for that one ogre who's fallen asleep still holding a heated brand labeled "I was tortured in the nightmarish dungeons of Lunacastrum Castle and all I got was this lousy branding." Another ogre is carrying around a simpler brand shaped like a pair of crossed lightning bolts. The cells on the side of the room you're in contain a number of interesting individuals, most of them crying or begging for mercy, a few praying, and one who's gone off the deep end completely and is doing some mad hop-skip dance. Oh yes, Alanne and Myrenne themselves inhabit a cell, along with a Nazi Panzer Commander who fell into the the shadow path along with you two. The same shadow path is now rapidly closing.

"Myrenne, quick, help me push him into the Shadow path." Myrenne pushed and Alanne used Telekinesis.

Immediately, he stabbed at Alanne with the brand.

She dodged and used her power of telekinesis (level 69) to make him drop the brand. She also caused him to smash against a wall and be burred up to the neck in rocks.

Then as the guards were gathering, Myrenne said "Sis, we should find a way out of here."

Goblins and ogres flood the cellar. The carverclaw immediately leaps up brandishing the pointy iron claws. Immediately, the prisoners in the neighboring cells also begin screaming (except for the one who's doing the hop-skip dance, who continues doing what he's doing).

Alanne raised her voice above the did. "Fellow prisioners: You have been tourtured, branded, starved, and some of you have lost your minds. I know you are weak, but NOW IS THE TIME TO FIGHT! Rise up aginst these Goblins and Ogers and FIGHT YOUR WAY TO FREEDOM!" She then proceded to aid Myrenne in the fight to escape.

The prisoners run out screaming and attack the jailers. Most of them are slaughtered immediately, quite a few by the carverclaw with iron claw attachments.

Alanne had just slain an Oger. She climbed up on it's body and shot the iron carverclaw dead with her bow.

"SIS DUCK!" Screamed Alanne. Myrenne ducked and it then hit a male Oger in a sensitive spot...

Myrenne got up an the slain Oger with her sister so that she could have a better view of the fight.

Soon, the room is flooded with goblins and ogres, and all the prisoners are dead. A human with his face obscured by an iron mask steps forward and demands your surrender.

"-And we might also find out where we are." She turnned to the man "We surrended, but on one contition: you tell us where we are."

The masked guy immediately replied, "Did you not look at the brand?" Removing his mask, Rokmokkara continued, "You are in Lunacastrum Castle, a stone's throw from what used to be Trithik but now is a massive ruin filled with shambling undead. It is also a staging point for the invasion of Crownhald."

"That looks like the underside of a floor there. I think I can gate us up to the other room. It's our only cha-" She was interrupted when Myrenne use her power of Necromancy (59) to raise the dead prisoners to fight there former guards.
"Good idea sis." She then used her power of Destruction (70) to smite some of the Ogers with clubs.

Rokmokkara then used HIS power of destruction to begin smiting the shield. He also ordered the surviving ogres and goblins to begin hitting the shield as hard as they could.

"Oh, and send another carverclaw."

"Minnions, attack Rokmokkara. Sis get us out of here."
"Alright." She used her power of gateing (68) to try to transport them to the level above them.

The gating worked and soon Alanne and Myrenne found themselves in a deserted hallway of Lunacastrum castle. Black shields and tapestries with crossed lightning bolts adorned the walls. Suits of armor with the same crossed lightning bolts sigil were prevalent throughout the hallway. Oh, and you accidentally run into the new carverclaw who is wearing a heavy suit of spiked dragonbone armor in addition to his fearsome claws. In fact, the carverclaw accidentally spears Myrenne's elbows.

Try as they might, they felt the pain in their right arm flicker a bit, but soon it returned in force. Finally Zmflavius released the pain.

Zmflavius releases his illusion, and the pain stops, since he doesn't want to risk a confrontation. But, for some reason, the corpse lying on the road and the thing hanging from the tree don't disappear. Then you realize that the corpse is missing its hide and the skin of the hop-skip guy is hanging from the tree.
