Re. guessed reason in rep comment: this won't fit in a rep comment (although one is due -- and forthcoming, but first thing's first ).

I actually had to look up the post in question after your guess, and then realised, reading it, that there could in fact be several reasons for me giving that rep!
Yours is a good one, you're right. Yes, the "no sweat" attitude is always good to have, even absolutely necessary (desperately needed? ) at times.
So was the link to that old reference thread, for info, for forum-reminiscing -- and for the laugh (that came from some of the posts, not the least of which being the back-and-forth that developed and was the unintended effect of stating one's wish to "ride a dragon" "Oh, dear! " ).

But the immediate reason at the time, was the fact that you put the word "recent" in quotation marks, which was a recipe for instant laughter.
Reminded me of you-know-who, you-know-where, you-know-when -- and thinking of it again, I still can't help a smile or a slow head shake when I think of all that in general, and, more specifically, of "recently" turning from "the moment immediately preceding this one" into as much as half decade or more ago (since TM's departure), without batting an eyelash or worrying about consistency or semantic details (that were sooo fussed-over at the time! ), as you pointed out.

One of these days I'll get around to doing PG6 and the quests that PG6 is a prereq for; also eventually will get past level 20 of the Mad.
Since I hit level 100 in AS&P (2-3 months ago), the 'driving force' just wasn't there to push to acquire all the boosts those would grant (which looks to be about +6 MR, a wash or small hit on SP and about +3 NV).
So I had been saving them for when I wanted some interesting 'story time'.
When the FoB2 announcement was made, I considered it but (obviously) didn't do any of them before any of the bouts.

Won't allow me to rep, so I'll say it here: regarding 'throughout' I actually did send a short message (which I did not at the time of the pumpkin growing contest, though that cost quite a few characters being short-changed).
Yeah, I was disappointed, after doing a Perrin, then deciding on the spot to do it anyway, it was a let-down to arrive in plenty time, but find the doors shot. (After all, and with everything else going on [like wtf's going on, more like it], this was a bit like a flick on the nose, I guess...)

Truly, I haven't written anything of merit lately. In fact, I'm about to delete a 'Zijin' story. Having said that, I was reading back over my 'big story', Tales From Behind the Green Door, and I must admit to being infused with inspiration.

Rhia's story needs to be finished so I can continue. I'm working on it.
