I'm not subscribed to anything, but I'll take a look and see if I can tell anything.

Looks like it may be a server issue.

Checked the settings and ran a diagnostic with the email which indicates things are ok.

However, I don't have the test email in either of my accounts folders. But with my quirky ISP email that isn't unheard of this early in, but I also get a "cannot connect to server" error when trying to log in to the server to check it.

I've got some forum stuff I've been meaning to ask the GM about so I'll put this at the top of that list.

EDIT: Notified/asked the GM. Will post accordingly.

Seems others are having the same problems. Still trying to sort out the issue, will post new accordingly.

All right, it's fixed. At least I hope I fixed it - ran a system test, and it works at my end, in any case.

Could any and all who have experienced this issue of not receiving email notifications from the forum any more, please check/test whether it's now working? And report here whether yes or no?

Just received my first 'new post' email notification outside of the system test environment, so the fix seems to be working under normal conditions as well.

If anyone does still have issues, or they think they may, please try adding the forum (http://www.srythforum.com/) to your (trusted) contacts list.

(Many ISPs [Internet Service Providers] now have very strict spam filters which can stop mail from ever making it to your mailbox, and in such cases checking the Spam folder or adjusting your spam filtering won't help.)

I just opened my email provider, and found out that the most recent unopened email was letting me know about your most recent post in the Black Octagonal Gem coordination thread, so things seem to be working fine again for me too.

Glad to see the forum's back. I tried to get in two or three times last night, and couldn't get any response from the server at all. Don't recall exactly when I tried to get in, unfortunately...

Out for quite a few hours this time, half a day or so. Host was expecting a shorter downtime, problem with their server. GM was informed and looked into things, considering options.

All right, it's time for one of these, really. Clearly we're having ongoing host issues, and the GM is considering the next step to take.

So this will be a sticky thread as well, hopefully helping us track our site's downtime, connectivity issues, by humbly asking for, and encouraging reports from all members willing to help (by reporting here all instances of such troubles as they encounter them).

Please, while the decision is made regarding our web host, be kind and help us by posting here freely information regarding any such incidents at your earliest convenience, once you are able to log in.

I don't know if this will help, but you never know.....

Between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM, couldn't connect. (sent GM an E-Mail around 1:15 AM)
Between 10:45 AM and 2:00 PM, still couldn't connect.

All times EDT (game server time)

Glad to see it was up tonight....
